Equans is looking for an Electrician to join our team at the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.

What will you deliver? 

  • Provide delivery of Planned & Reactive maintenance activity of HV, LV, and Electrical Systems & Equipment, in accordance with the Schedule of Programmed Maintenance.
  • Ensure all Planned Maintenance works are completed within the target start and target 
    completion timeframes.
  • Complete all Reactive Works in line with contractual SLA’s.
  • Ensure all Corrective & Remedial works are completed and duly recorded.
  • Report all Corrective & Remedial works that need to be undertaken by other skillsets, or external 
    contractors.
  • Ensure that the integrity of the Critical systems is always achieved minimising downtime of assets.
  • Correctly & Accurately utilise PDA to accurately record information, data and details relating to all works undertaken and accounting for working day.
  • Complete all maintenance documentation (electronic and hard copy) ensuring full and 
    accurate completion.
  • Deliver additional works requests to agreed scope and timeframes as directed by line 
    management.
  • Support internal and external audits and assurance to a high standard, completing, and 
    delivering on actions as required.
  • Attend meetings, toolbox talks and training as required and directed by line management.

Essential:

  • Completed a SCQF Level 7 Electrotechnical Qualification (or equivalent) in either installation  or maintenance with at least 3 years post qualifying experience.
  • Qualified to BS7671 18th Edition Amendment 2.

  • Full Clean Driving Licence
  • Excellent administrative and Software applications experience (Microsoft Word, Excel, Email, PDA usage, etc…)
  • Personable front facing individual with an ability to create good working relationships with clients and external stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with the Healthcare sector, and day to day operation and maintenance of varying types of building/premises.

  • Providing operational cover as and when required to support the security team on site.
  • Controlling and monitoring access (Visitors/Contractors/Deliveries).

  • Management of car parking arrangements associated with large events.
  • Conducting Return to Work and Absence Follow Up interviews.
  • Monitoring staff attendance and ensuring all posts are fully covered.
  • Assisting Management with Investigations and Disciplinaries.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
As ideal and successful candidate for this role, you will report directly to the Regional Security Operations Manager and: -

  • Hold a valid SIA Licence and Police Counter-Terrorism Clearance.
  • Hold a valid CCTV licence.
  • Have solid experience in a similar environment.
  • Be flexible and available to work nights/days/weekends including bank holidays.
  • Cover shift rotations on different teams, as and when required.
  • Have excellent communication skills and be computer literate.
  • Lead by example and hold responsibility for their staff performance along with the safety and security of their clients and guards on post as well as MPS assets.
  • Have the ability to work on own initiative coordinating the shift, being thorough and accurate in all documentation.
  • Undergo any training or upskills qualifications as may be required.
  • Provide extremely high levels of customer service to contractors, visitors and occupants of the site.

M&E Supervisor

Equans is looking for an M&E Supervisor to join our team in Uxbridge, Middlesex working on our contract with Coca-Cola on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. It is also expected that should a Shift Engineer be on leave or absent, the M&E Supervisor will cover those hours.

On offer is a salary up to £54,000 per annum, dependent upon skills and experience and benefits package. An Electrical bias candidate is preferred. 

What will you deliver?

  • Ensure that works are conducted in line with the EQUANS SSoW & Permit to Work system, ensuring adequate procedures and processes are in place
  • Issuing of Authority to Work and conducting Contractor reviews
  • Provide input into the management of the planned maintenance schedule, ensuring associated work tasks are completed in accordance with the agreed PPM planner, SLA and KPI targets, including first hand support (where required) for contract update meetings with the client
  • Complete PPM and reactive works activities in accordance with contract requirements, and arrange for the site team to complete tasks in line with the company competency appointment(s)

Equans is looking for a Mobile Plumber to join our team in Birmingham. This is a permanent, full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week, based on a two-week rotating shift pattern of 6am - 2pm & 10am - 6pm, Monday to Friday. There is also an on-call rota. Mechanical Craftsperson

Equans is looking for a Mechanical Craftsperson (Water) to join our team at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary banding of £28,000 - £31,000 per annum dependent upon skills and experience and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

  • Undertake the water system planned preventive maintenance, testing, breakdown maintenance and other maintenance related activities to the Estate
  • The responsibilities will mainly be at the Acute Hospital but may also include duties at the Retained Estate and Mental Health unit
  • Perform the complete range of Mechanical Craftsperson (Water) tasks as required or directed by management
  • Be knowledgeable of and to work to the current regulations, codes of practice, Health & Safety regulations, and all safety rules both Equans and Statutory
  • Have a knowledge of water systems within a commercial/healthcare environment and maintenance/ testing activities
  • Have a knowledge of Legionella and other water pathogens
  • Have a knowledge of water storage tank cleaning and disinfection
  • Undertake temperature monitoring, shower head cleaning and disinfection, Tank visual inspections, water samples, calorifier visual inspections, TMV servicing, to name a few
  • Interpret and work from all instructions, drawings, and specifications appropriate to own trade, without supervision

Retrofit Coordinator

EQUANS is looking for a Retrofit Coordinator to join our team in  Manchester on a permanent basis. This is a fulltime role working Monday to Friday. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package. 

Responsible for the management of the retrofit assessment and coordination process, including Survey Software Tool Development, Customer Journey and Trustmark Compliance on both survey and technical solutions.

This position is a crucial role to enable EQUANS to continue to deliver energy efficiency schemes in accordance with PAS2035 process, and in turn access funding schemes such as SHDF, LAD and ECO for our partners at scale.

It is essential that any candidates have experience as a Retrofit Coordinator within a PAS2035 project and also have a Level 5 qualification in Retrofit Coordination and Risk Management

 

What will you deliver? 

  • To have full responsibility for the overall management and delivery of the PAS2035 process, including assessment, design, installation and handover and monitoring, as defined in PAS processes.
  • Manage the retrofit survey process throughout the northern region, ensuring high standards of quality and compliance throughout the process
  • Work with Sustainability Manager & Sustainability Team in establishing EQUANS as the partner of choice in energy efficiency retrofit solutions through SHDF, LAD, ECO and any other available funding streams.
  • Provide accurate and effective energy modelling using RdSAP and full SAP, and provide guidance on solutions for meeting specific scheme criteria.
  • Delivery against specific objectives and targets on retrofit schemes.
  • Manage the PAS2035 lodgement process  on trustmatk in accordance with main contract delivery programmes to allow timely draw down of funding.
  • Ensure that the entire end to end surveying process and customer journey provides the highest standards for both our ‘traditional customers’ (RSLs, LAs etc) as well at the end user customers (House Owners, tenants etc)
  • Ensure that the surveying of schemes exceeds targets in terms of survey quality, maximising outputs, and compliance with Trustmark
  • Be the main technical point of contact for Retrofit Coordination and energy modelling and manage relationship with key client stakeholders delighting and exceeding customers expectations
  • Work closely with operational teams to maintain timely and accurate survey information and specification solutions
  • Set up, implement and work with external survey partners on delivering retrofit surveys.
  • Work closely with external solution providers and designers to ensure high quality technical solutions to be passed on to delivery teams
  • Implement and manage an audit programme on both internal and external Assessors to ensure high standards of surveys
  • Assist the Bid Team on quality submissions for tenders ensuring that high standards of technical and process solutions of conveyed
  • Provide a single source of technical knowledge and leadership for the business unit.
  • Disseminate regular updates and briefings to teams, in line with technical developments.
