Lead Engineer HV-MV-LV

We are hiring a Lead Engineer High, Medium and Low Voltage (HV-MV-LV) for High & Medium Voltage Substations with base location Haren.
In this role your responsibilities include conceptual design development for substations and interfaces, procurement support through specifications and tender files, detailed design development and participation in design reviews, definition and standardization of calculation tools and templates.
Within the High & Medium Voltage department, you work in multi-disciplinary project teams and are responsible for the engineering activities related to the different high, medium and low voltage systems. You realize the design and manage the various aspects related to the realization of HV/MV substations. This can be in tender phase or project execution phase and goes from concept stage until final as built delivery.
You manage the engineers and designers assigned to the project. In case a certain scope is outsourced to engineering service providers and system suppliers, you directly or indirectly through a project engineer ensure the qualitative and in-time delivery of the outsourced scope.
Zoom on your tasks:
- system management:
- prepare integrated concept designs, outline specifications, technical specifications for systems and equipment, functional specifications together with partners where appropriate. For the systems that are procured, the focus is also on the follow-up of the respective suppliers/subcontractors
- translate the client’s and statutory requirements in appropriate technical documents (Request For Proposal – Technical part) to be used by the Procurement team to obtain “best in class” conditions (at bidding phase and execution phase)
- lead the engineering activities for the allocated systems and monitor quality, assess input from engineering team, partners, suppliers and subcontractors
- people management and communication:
- coach and lead the team consisting of internal designers and/or engineers and external engineering companies and system/equipment suppliers. Guard the performance of the different contributors and escalate in case of issues
- provide information and communicate about the status and progress of the work to enable the Project Manager to take decisions accordingly
- guarantee transparent communication channels and clear appointments with regard to cooperation within the team and with the stakeholders:
- internal stakeholders: Project Manager, project team
- external stakeholders: suppliers (of systems, tools, services) and clients
- secure project objectives:
- secure the project objectives by assuring on time and in full delivery of assigned scope of work
- collect the required input data for calculation and design studies
- manage discussions with the client. Escalate in case of blocking items. Push for getting documents accepted in accordance with the project timeline
- support the Project Manager with the needed level of expertise in HV, MV and LV
- continuous improvement:
- contribute to a learning organization by defining procedures, tools and systems to organize the studies and calculations
- implement lessons learned into our processes and calculations
- share your knowledge within the organization e.g. by organizing short training sessions
What do you need?
- university level degree: master of science in engineering (mechanical/electrical/electromechanical)
- excellent technical knowledge of HV&MV substations and minimum 5 years of experience in engineering, procurement & construction activities (in the field of your specialty/expertise)
- experience with Eplan and Caneco HT or other relevant HV/MV calculation software is an added value
- knowledge of and experience with the following specific systems is required:
- HV and MV GIS
- power transformers
- auxiliary/earthing transformers
- shunt reactors
- HV and MV cables incl. accessories & testing
- experience with substation engineering studies is considered as a plus, examples of such studies:
- grid compliance
- load flow
- short-circuit calculations
- equipment sizing
- protection coordination
- earthing & bonding
- lightning protection
- preferably knowledge and experience of the transmission & distribution grid

What will you deliver?
As the on-site Cleaner, you’ll keep the building clean and tidy to the highest standard of hygiene, health and safety whilst maintaining a professional manner with all members of staff and general public.
For this role you must undergo BPSS level vetting. Part of this includes DBS clearance therefore ability to pass is essential.

We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a time served Small Works Operative (Fabric) to join our team providing fabric maintenance at Southmead Hospital in Bristol working from 08:30 t0 16:30, Monday to Friday.
The role:
- Reporting to the Project Manager
- Undertake joinery repairs, maintenance to fire doors, non-fire doors, partitioning work, shelving, hanging doors, minor furniture repairs, furniture assembly, ironmongery, building fabric repairs in connection with doors, general building fabric repairs and any other ad-hoc tasks as required
- To apply trade skills to carry out scheduled and reactive tasks as needed
- To immediately report any potentially dangerous situations to the Supervisor
- To order materials and services using ordering system and to update records and job sheets to certify satisfactory delivery/completion
- To carry out the maintenance and repairs to all fire and non-fire doors within the Brunel Building as directed by line manager.
- Working 40 hours per week, from 08:30 t0 16:30, Monday to Friday with a 30 minute unpaid break
The person:
- Time served Carpenter – desirable to be qualified to minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
- Desirable to hold a current ECS/CSCS card
- Must be proactive with a flexible attitude
- Experienced in both team and lone working
- Able to demonstrate experience in the FM sector (preferable) – ideally in a hospital environment
- Must be client focused, with the ability to respond professionally and efficiently

Operations Manager (Hard FM)

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager (Hard FM) to join our Facilities Management team based on our PFI hospital contract at Southmead Hospital in Bristol. This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
The role:
- Reporting to the Head of Estates
- Manage cost effectively the directly employed and outsourced labour resources and assets required to deliver a compliant and high-quality service covering all M&E and Building Fabric disciplines.
- Responsible for the maintenance team to plan, organise and co-ordinate the Planned and Reactive Maintenance works and arrange appropriate shift cover with the support of the supervisors.
- Joint responsibility will extend to management and implementation of specialist service contracts together with the day-to-day performance of the service.
- Working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00. This may be subject to change depending on operational needs.
The person:
- Must have significant experience in a similar role i.e. hard services FM background, ideally in a similar environment
- Will hold an industry qualification to ONC, HNC or have equivalent experience in either electrical or mechanical engineering
- Desirable to have held previous AP Duties – e.g. HV/LV, Vent, MGPS.
- Ability to manage workforce teams
- Strong knowledge in HR managed processes
- Previous small budget management; high level of commercial awareness
- Hold a minimum IOSH Health & Safety qualification

Equans is looking for an Electrician to join our team at the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.
*The role will require you to work on a shift basis covering Early, Backs and Nights - this will be covered at interview stage. You will receive a shift allowance in addition to the annual salary.
What will you deliver?
- Provide delivery of Planned & Reactive maintenance activity of HV, LV, and Electrical Systems & Equipment, in accordance with the Schedule of Programmed Maintenance.
- Ensure all Planned Maintenance works are completed within the target start and target
completion timeframes. - Complete all Reactive Works in line with contractual SLA’s.
- Ensure all Corrective & Remedial works are completed and duly recorded.
- Report all Corrective & Remedial works that need to be undertaken by other skillsets, or external
contractors. - Ensure that the integrity of the Critical systems is always achieved minimising downtime of assets.
- Correctly & Accurately utilise PDA to accurately record information, data and details relating to all works undertaken and accounting for working day.
- Complete all maintenance documentation (electronic and hard copy) ensuring full and
accurate completion. - Deliver additional works requests to agreed scope and timeframes as directed by line
management. - Support internal and external audits and assurance to a high standard, completing, and
delivering on actions as required. - Attend meetings, toolbox talks and training as required and directed by line management.

- Excellent administrative and Software applications experience (Microsoft Word, Excel, Email, PDA usage, etc…)
- Personable front facing individual with an ability to create good working relationships with clients and external stakeholders.

- Familiarity with the Healthcare sector, and day to day operation and maintenance of varying types of building/premises.
- Experience/Qualifications within a technical capacity relating to SHTM 06-01, 02, 03, with qualification at LV & HV Appointed/Authorised Person and/or Competent Person.

Cleaning Supervisor
EQUANS is recruiting for a Cleaning Supervisor in Dormers Wells High School, UB1 3HZ. This is a permanent role working 30 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £19,406.00 per annum and benefits package.
Shift Pattern:
Monday to Friday, 06:00-9:00 and 15:00-18:00 (Split Shifts)

As the Cleaning Supervisor you will be responsible for supervising our cleaning teams to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and customer service is maintained.
For this role you must undergo an Enhanced DBS clearance therefore ability to pass is essential.
