- Customer Service: Work closely with the Facilities team to ensure jobs are completed to customer satisfaction within the specified service level agreements (SLA).
- Health & Safety: Maintain high standards of safety and sustainability in line with EQUANS’ policies and procedures.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualifications & Experience: Recognised industry qualifications (C&G/NVQ required), with experience in joinery, plumbing, or other related skills.
- Desirable Qualifications: IPAF Powered Access Licence, PASMA, and First Aid certification (not essential but an advantage).
- Skills & Competencies: Experience in building maintenance, plumbing, and multi-skilled tasks. Strong reporting and estimating skills for quotations.
- Personal Attributes: Able to work independently or as part of a team, with a strong customer-focused approach. A professional and smart appearance is essential, as you will be the face of EQUANS when interacting with clients.

Assistant Commercial Manager
Equans is looking for an Assistant Commercial Manager to join our team in Birmingham on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.
The Assistant Commercial Manager will support the commercial delivery across a portfolio of complex contracts (PFI), working closely with the Account Directors/Managers. They will assist in the contract commercial management, delivery of contract action plans (profit improvement), risk and opportunity management along with focus on contract compliance.
The Assistant Commercial Manager will support in the management of numerous stakeholder relationships, including external relationships with clients, suppliers and internal Business Unit leadership and functions.
What will you deliver?
- Assist in analysing/managing risk, including assessing revenue opportunity vs cost & risk

- Assist in negotiations for multiple disciplines including supplier negotiations & sub-contractor flow-downs

CAD Operator
Equans is looking for an CAD Operator to join our team in Stoke on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
The Auto CAD Operator performs a variety of design/drafting/space planning, room moves and lighting configurations activities group including preparing/updating installation drawings for projects, preparing assembly/manufacturing drawings, establishing guidelines and procedures for CAD data management, and managing workload distribution within the CAD department. Ideally also experienced in Bolster although training will be given.

- Survey and update existing ‘as built’ drawings
- Convert drawings to DWG format.

- Ensure documentation is held for all aspects of the O&M manuals
- Update and maintain elecronic filing systems.
- Maintain notes, design calculations and other documentation (such as drawings, bill of materials, list of design parameters, and performance guarantees) for future reference.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of third party items. Review and modify information with supervision by the Compliance Manager/Account Director / Project and Planning Managers (both Equans and Client side).
- Establish filing guidelines for drawings to maintain up-to-date drawings.
- Other duties as required relating to CAD database maintenance etc.

Performance Engineer

Equans Embedded Generation operates multiple customer sites with large-scale embedded energy capacity across the UK, providing specialist management of onsite generation for industrial processes and the ability to export to the Grid. We combine multiple technologies to meet our customers’ specific needs, and provide design, build, operate and maintenance services. Our skills and expertise can help industrial businesses to achieve their carbon reduction goals.
We are experts in many technologies, including combined heat and power (CHP), biomass, and energy from waste. By locating generation on customers’ sites we provide our customers with industry leading safety management, reduced energy costs and carbon footprint and assured energy security for their operational needs.
Key activities
The Plant Performance Engineer will be responsible for interpretation of plant design and plant operational data to monitor performance and identify performance shortfalls and improvement opportunities. The Performance Engineer will also provide guidance on management of installed assets on the various contracts/sites, advising the site teams on implementation of best practice to deliver continuous improvement in asset management and assisting the site teams in improving plant reliability, availability, and efficiency whilst minimising costs.
- Provide support and expertise to improve plant performance, and root cause analysis of plant performance degradation.
- Work with the team to deliver maximum efficiency from existing assets and scheme operation.
- Assist with ongoing analysis of the energy schemes trends and performance, diagnosing problems and making recommendations.
- Assist on delivering and implementing rectification plans to ensure that energy is delivered consistently and efficiently to meet contractual and financial requirements.
- Assist with investment proposals for capital investment projects in system optimisation.
- Carry out analysis that will improve current methodologies for tracking asset improvement projects savings.
- Support on optimising the existing business energy data collection platforms and data transfer from meters via Automated Meter Reading (AMR) devices.
- Review and support upgrade of existing CHPs and gas boilers process safety controls and control philosophy, including assets prioritisation use in the system.
- Develop a plant performance reporting structure for routine reporting to the Divisional Leadership Team
- Administer CHP QA and UK ETS for the divisional assets
- Prepare contractual performance reports for submission to the Customer
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Motivated and professional engineer who wishes to commit to a role which will provide both opportunity and challenge
- Qualified to a minimum 2:2 degree level in Mechanical, process or equivalent Engineering Discipline or equivalent proven experience.
- Membership or working towards membership of an appropriate Engineering Institution.
- Technical experience on some of the following: design and/or operation of energy schemes/centres, heating and cooling systems, CHPs, boilers, utilities, biomass power plants etc
- High level of proficiency in data analysis using Excel etc.
- Knowledge of the UK regulatory, energy and carbon policies would be an advantage
- Excellent communication both verbal and written

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated team in Andover and play a key role in ensuring the continued reliability of our critical emergency equipment.
Your Role:
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll be responsible for performing first-line maintenance in line with planned schedules, ensuring that all equipment remains operational and ready for deployment in the event of an emergency. You will be involved in fault diagnosis, equipment configuration, and post-deployment assessments, as well as troubleshooting and repairing any identified issues. Additionally, you will assist with training activities and the movement of equipment for non-emergency activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out maintenance tasks to meet service level agreements and key performance indicators.
- Responding to emergency call-outs and attending off-site locations for emergency deployments.
- Diagnosing faults, investigating equipment damage, and ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Supporting training initiatives and ensuring equipment is properly maintained and deployed.
- Ensuring compliance with EQUANS' Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, including risk assessments and toolbox talks.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for someone with a strong mechanical and/or electrical background, who thrives in a fast-paced and critical environment. If you have experience working with plant machinery, diesel engines, or similar systems, and possess problem-solving skills under pressure, we want to hear from you.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Yellow Activities: Credible experience with plant and diesel engines, with mechanical and/or electrical understanding.
- Red Activities: NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds qualification in mechanical engineering or related fields. Time-served apprenticeships and higher qualifications are advantageous.
- 18th Edition: If required, the post holder must have an 18th Edition qualification or the ability to be appointed as an Authorised Person.
- Experience in operating machinery such as JCBs, or holding a C+E (LGV) license is desirable.
- Ability to drive a 16-tonne FLT (Forklift Truck) is beneficial.

Lead Process Engineer
Als Lead Process Engineer ben je een sleutelfiguur binnen ons team, Engineering & Automation. Je combineert diepgaande technische kennis met sterke leiderschapsvaardigheden om ons process engineering team te begeleiden en te inspireren. Jouw rol heeft een sterk administratief karakter. Je ondersteunt, waar nodig, de inzetbaarheidsadviseurs bij complexe/langdurige casuïstiek, en draagt bij aan het vier-ogen principe. Je monitort met je collega’s of de juiste (WVP) stappen zijn/worden ondernomen, opvolging is gegeven aan terugkoppelingen van de arbodienst en de juiste acties zijn ingezet. Tot slot is het onderhouden van interne/externe contacten (denk aan medewerkers, leidinggevenden of de Arbodienst) op het gebied van inzetbaarheid belangrijk. Omdat je veel gesprekken voert via de telefoon, zijn je gespreksvaardigheden goed ontwikkeld.

Le Marché Transport d’EQUANS offre des solutions techniques innovantes pour accompagner la digitalisation et la décarbonisation des transports urbains et ferroviaires en France et dans le monde.
Les expertises du marché transport sont : la catenaire, la signalisation ferroviaire, la ventilation des tunnels, les systèmes intelligents d’aide à l’exploitation et information voyageurs, les solutions de connectivité on board (wifi).
Nos expertises sont rassemblées dans 7 filiales comptant 2700 salariés: INEO Sclé Ferroviaire, Powerlines, INEO UTS, Axima Tunnel, INEO SYSTRANS, et Icomera.

Votre challenge à nos côtés :
Rattaché(e) au Chef d’équipe, vous êtes en charge de la bonne réalisation des travaux dans le respect des règles d’hygiène et de sécurité, de la qualité d’exécution et des délais.
Vous aurez pour principales missions :
- La mise en place des supports de lignes caténaires avec leurs accessoires : consoles, appareils tendeurs, ancrages,…
- Le déroulage des différents câbles sur ces supports
- Le pendulage entre les câbles porteurs et les fils de contact
- Le réglage de la caténaire par rapport à la voie ferrée
- Le montage des appareils d’interruption et les connexions électriques entre les différents éléments de la caténaire
- La réalisation des travaux de remaniement et d’entretien sur les lignes existantes

Vous possédez une première expérience dans le domaine des caténaires de 3 ans.
Vous avez des notions de lecture de plans et schémas électriques.
Vous acceptez de travailler sur des rythmes décalés (travaux de jour, de nuit, de week-end et jours fériés seront à prévoir). Vous êtes titulaire du Permis B.
Vous êtes autonome et aimez les déplacements de longues durées ainsi que les travaux en hauteur et en plein air.
