Junior Project Manager

Equans is looking for an Junior Project Manager to join our team in Speke on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

  • Assist Project managers with Lifecycle and Variations Project Management, ensuring all Projects are managed, operated and completed with uncompromised efficiency, on time and to budget.
  • Liaison with all relevant parties involved with Projects, including working with the Client to interpret and develop a brief/scope of works in order achieving sign off prior to works commencement, planning, during the works and through to completion.
  • Follow the Company and on-site Developments process ensuring all relevant documentation is prepared/completed including the provision of costs, programmes, risk analysis, PPP works documentation etc.
  • Ensure all Project files are maintained to provide a fully auditable administrative trail in line with ISO accreditation.
  • Assist Project Managers with the procurement of an overall plan for works (including design, procurement, PPP pack review and sign off, works/construction, commissioning, training etc) for the Project to ensure the completion date is achieved and without incident.
  • Procure competent Contractors to carry out the design, works/construction and commissioning of the proposed development.
  • Monitor the progress of the design, works/construction and commissioning activities and action accordingly to ensure the works are completed within the time, budget, and safety and to the required quality.
  • Liaison and management of the performance of preferred suppliers/subcontractors to include controlling, scheduling and coordinating sub-contractors working on site, ensuring all Company and on-site procedures are followed such as Inductions, CRB clearance, competence etc.
  • Assist Project managers with carrying out Project review meetings in line with Project Management good practice.

Who are we looking for?

  • Technical knowledge within the built environment would be an advantage.
  • Understanding of the principles of working within a PFI environment (desirable).
  • Able to effectively manage multiple deadlines.

Grounds Operative

Equans is a renowned energies & services contractor and a proud member of the Bouygues global industrial group. Our expertise spans the design, construction, and maintenance of buildings and critical infrastructure worldwide.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Operative to join our Facilities Management team at West Middlesex University Hospital in Isleworth.  This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week 

from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.


The role:

  • Reporting to the Grounds Supervisor.
  • Maintain the hospital grounds to a professional standard including emptying outdoor bins, litter picking and road sweeping
  • Carry out snow clearing
  • Strimming, mowing, weeding, seasonal clearance of fallen leaves and removal of fallen branches
  • Use relevant tools and equipment, drive company vehicles and machinery safely
  • Assist trades staff in maintenance work when needed
  • Assist with stores / move stock and materials
  • Working 40 hours per week, from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday


The person:

  • Previous experience of grounds work is preferred but not essential
  • Good standard of fitness appropriate to the tasks
  • Excellent customer service skills and a high standard of work and attention to detail
  • Good organisation skills, including the ability to plan and prioritise work using own initiative
  • Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing, and to represent the Company in a professional manner to the Client and public

Patient Services Team Leader

Equans is looking for a Patient Services Team Leader to join our team in Queen Alexandra Hospital, PO6 3LY, on a permanent full time basis working 35 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £25,899.34 per annum and benefits package.

Shift Pattern:

Two week rota working every other weekend with a day with a day off in the week.
Start time 12:00 to 19:30 with 1/2 an hour unpaid break.

What will you deliver?

The Team Leader will be report to the Facilities Management Team and be responsible for the cleanliness of the hospital and the supervision of Ward Housekeepers and Patient Service Assistants. Be able to discuss and liaise with Trust management and our customers in a proactive manner daily to ensure the contract specification is met in relation to Soft Services. To organise all daily tasks and work as a team with your fellow Team Leaders.

Part Time Morning Cleaner

Equans is looking for a Part time Morning Cleaner to join our team in Pontypridd County Court, CF37 1JR  on a permanent basis working 10 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £11.79 per hour and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

As the on-site Cleaner, you’ll keep the building clean and tidy to the highest standard of hygiene, health and safety whilst maintaining a professional manner with all members of staff and general public.

Resident Liaison Officer

Equans is looking for a Resident Liaison Officer to join our team in Silchester and surrounding areas. This is a full time, permanent role. On offer is a salary of £26,000 - £31,000 depending on skills and experience, company vehicle and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

  • To provide consultation and support to residents prior to, during and after works to their homes, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Managing the customer/resident journey whilst following the client and company engagement procedures
  • To develop effective working relationships with residents, clients, subcontractors, site-based personnel, local stakeholders, the local community and the Customer Care Department
  • Carry out choice events, consultation events and individual consultation with residents regarding future work.
  • Carry out individual resident inductions to include – introduction to Equans, the CLO/RLO
    process, scope of works, property and personal belongings condition surveys inclusive of photographs for evidence
  • Complete resident profiling and work with the site management team to implement effective working practices and discuss with the Client’s customer care team where appropriate
  • Agree access arrangements with the resident and book appointments to enable the work to their home
  • Organise and provide support needs: packing boxes, dust sheets, storage and other facilities
    as required and agreed.

Residence Manager

Equans is looking for a Residence Manager to join our team at the University of Brighton on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

The post holder will be responsible for all operational staff for the University of Brighton’s accommodation which includes cleaners, waste management and ground maintenance. The Residence Manager will be responsible for budgets and performance of residence and cleaning services as well as maintaining a close liaison with the Client FM Function in ensuring day to day requirements of delivering the required services are met.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing soft services, ideally within the hospitality sector (hotels, student accommodation).

What will you deliver?

  • To deliver high quality cleaning services ensuring added value, increased productivity, and cost efficiencies wherever possible and encourage innovation from staff to provide on-going service improvements. To manage the output of the cleaning functions, ensuring high standards of customer service at all times
  • Responsible for administering and supervising the operation of the student residential experience, facilitating student / tenant issues in conjunction management support ensuring a positive, healthy, and safe living environment for students
  • To organise the student lettings in an effective and timely manner, coordinating student arrivals and departures ensuring rooms and facilities are provided in line with requirements, escalating issues as required to the relevant teams.  Ensure rooms are refreshed as required
  • To carry out regular audits to ensure all key performance and management indicators are met, and ensure operational delivery is high quality and compliant with statutory and contractual obligations
  • To co-ordinate all contract wide initiatives in respect to the summer lets that run across multiple work streams to deliver a timely, seamless client solution
  • To formulate suitable strategies, in conjunction with the university, to mobilise and meet the demands of service provision, ongoing improvement, and adaptation to changing processes and environments
  • To ensure all company deliverables that span multiple work streams are being delivered by all service managers to include safety tours, TBT delivery, training plans
  • To take full responsibility for the performance of direct reports, including working patterns, timekeeping, performance management, sickness absence, annual leave, preparation of rotas and improvement of knowledge of the services provided and any necessary training and/or development
  • To exercise financial and commercial controls in the management of expenditure and income within agreed budgets and take remedial action where appropriate.  To maximise profitability of operations and deliver ongoing cost savings
  • Assist in ensuring subcontractors are meeting client requirements and contract KPI’s/SLA’s
  • Manage the appropriate service work orders on Maximo
  • To fulfil Health & Safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the Company's Health & Safety Policy Statement, Display Screen Assessments, Guidelines and Procedures.  Seek advice from Managers / Supervisors / Team Leaders where necessary

This is a full-time role working in Partnership with Birmingham City Council on their repairs and maintenance contract on social housing. This role combines expertise in plumbing with skills in related trades such as heating systems, minor electrical work, and general maintenance tasks to ensure properties operate efficiently and safely. 

What will you deliver?

  • Conduct inspections and assessments of plumbing systems to diagnose issues and determine necessary repairs. 
  • Perform routine and emergency plumbing repairs, including fixing leaks, replacing faucets, and repairing toilets. 
  • Install and maintain plumbing fixtures, fittings, and appliances according to specifications and regulatory standards. 
  • Assist with general maintenance duties as required, including carpentry, painting, as well as patch plastering as required.  
  • Respond promptly to service requests and ensure timely completion of work orders.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities. 
  • Any other reasonable management request.

Who are we looking for?

  • NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds qualification in Plumbing or equivalent.
  • Valid CSCS / JIB card. 
  • Basic knowledge of Health & Safety regulations in Construction 
  • Proven experience in plumbing maintenance and repair work.

Quantity Surveyor

EQUANS are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to be based in Coleshill, Birmingham. This is a full-time permanent role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company car and benefits package.

General Overview

To take responsibility, ownership and accountability of the successful management and control all aspects of the commercial / financial and contractual elements of the designated project in order to control and maximise the company’s profitability, protect the companies legal and contractual obligations under the contract and to manage proactively the control of all commercial issues.

  • Control all expenditure.
  • Reconcile cost/value reports and profit forecasts.
  • To assist the Contract Manager with pre-start planning and programming
  • Continual use of the sub-contract data base

Dit ga je doen als Leidinggevend Monteur Elektrotechniek
Als Leidinggevend Monteur Elektrotechniek Utiliteit (in dagdienst) bij Equans ben je verantwoordelijk voor het zelfstandig installeren of onderhouden van gedeelten van elektrotechnische installaties, panelen en besturingskasten. Deze werkzaamheden voer je uit conform relevante normen en richtlijnen alsmede specifieke eisen van de klant. Uiteraard is het van belang dat de werkzaamheden binnen de gestelde tijd en conform werktekeningen, specificaties en (veiligheids-)voorschriften en KAM-procedures worden uitgevoerd.

Gelukkig heb jij veel gevoel voor het slim en efficiënt inzetten van het team van monteurs want jij bent het aanspreekpunt voor je collega’s op locatie. Hierbij geef je aanwijzingen en begeleid je medewerkers in overleg met de chef monteur. Je bent een voorbeeld voor collega’s als het gaat om kwaliteit en veiligheid en bent continue met collega’s en met externe partijen in contact. Fijn dus dat je gemakkelijk benaderbaar bent.

Je belangrijkste taken en verantwoordelijkheden:

Als Leidinggevend Monteur Elektrotechniek ben je technisch natuurlijk goed onderlegd. Je kunt zelfstandig werken maar ook in teamverband. Jij bent het type dat het beste uit zichzelf en anderen kan halen als de druk wat hoger ligt. Je overziet waar de prioriteit ligt en behoud de rust die nodig is om kwalitatief hoogstaand werk af te leveren. Voldoe je ook nog eens over het onderstaande dan is dat helemaal mooi meegenomen.

  • je hebt een elektrotechnische MBO 4-opleiding Elektrotechniek
  • je hebt aantoonbare ervaring opgedaan als Eerste Monteur en ervaring bij het aansturen van collega’s
  • je bent in het bezit van een VCA-VOL en NEN 3140 certificaat
  • je kunt je, naast de Nederlandse taal, goed verstaanbaar maken in het Engels

BIM Modelleur HVAC

Dit ga je doen als BIM Modelleur HVAC
Vanuit de vestiging in Halsteren realiseren wij multidisciplinaire projecten in zowel de utiliteit als lichte industrie bij diverse vaste opdrachtgevers. Om deze projecten goed te kunnen realiseren zorg jij samen met jouw collega’s voor een top ontwerp van diverse gebouwgebonden HVAC-installaties zoals onder andere: verwarming, koeling en luchtbehandeling. Deze installaties ontwerp je in teamverband met 4 collega Engineers en BIM-modelleurs.

Als BIM Modelleur HVAC ben jij verantwoordelijk voor:

  • tekenen en clashvrij modelleren van HVAC-installaties op de best mogelijke manier. Vaak komt het voor dat je alleen een schets krijgt van waaruit je gaat werken of je werkt vanuit een bestek
  • uitwerken van plattegronden, details, doorsnedes en opstellingstekeningen
  • verzorgen van afstemming met collega’s van andere disciplines en van de uitvoering Samen zorgen jullie ervoor dat de collega’s weten op welke wijze de projecten gerealiseerd moeten worden en onderhoud je contact over het - opnemen van revisiewerk
  • systematisch ordenen van projectdocumenten en tekeningen in een digitaal archief
