Contract Manager

What if you could be driving complex contract management across diverse projects?

At Equans, you’ll take ownership of strategic contract management for our large-scale, multi-team projects in Belgium. Your expertise will play a critical role in shaping our approach to complex contracts, including Design, Build and Operate models, as well as as-a-service and concession contracts.

Based in Brussels, with occasional travel to Equans sites as needed.

Your responsibilities:

• support Project Managers in managing contracts (client, consortium, subcontracting, supplies) as a trusted advisor
• help design and implement the contractual structure and cooperation agreements for complex contracts like Design, Build, and Operate models, and as-a-service contractual models
• contribute to creating processes and tools from the contract, draft amendments, and help achieve the economic objectives of projects
• assist project teams in interpreting contract terms and developing strategy
• draft and monitor correspondence, project notifications, and events
• manage risks and opportunities by compiling claim files and participating in client meetings to discuss these claims
• prevent disputes by applying Equans Belux Contract Management best practices, being proactive in identifying and addressing potential issues
• ensure the satisfaction of client requirements and maintain strong relationships with consortium partners, suppliers, and subcontractors

What you’ll bring to the table:

• a degree in engineering, economics, or law
• at least 5 years of experience in a similar role and/or significant experience as a Controller or Project Manager with a focus on contract management
• experience managing multi-team projects, especially in tertiary or industrial sectors
• excellent written and oral communication skills
• familiarity with working in consortia or project companies on complex setups
• a results-oriented approach with a strong analytical mindset and ability to synthesize information
• strong relational skills with a service-oriented attitude and adaptability to different stakeholders
• rigor, organization, and attention to detail to succeed in your missions
• bilingual in French and Dutch
