Multi Site Caretaker


EQUANS is recruiting for a Multi Site Caretaker to be based out of Cannock Community Fire Station, Cannock, WS11 6LD . This is a permanent full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is salary of £24,835.20 per annum and benefits package.

Shift times:

Monday - Friday 7:30am - 16:00pm. 

What you will deliver:

• Be responsible for ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and COSHH laws or regulations to make certain that all company Health and Safety policies, procedures are adhered to.
• Carry out first line investigations into building faults and isolate / make safe where necessary and arrange referral to engineer or specialist contractor through the Helpdesk.
• Carry out minor maintenance works and planned maintenance tasks.
• Rolling on-call rota, attending emergency events out of hours, covering all 10 x Fire Stations and 89 Stoke Schools sites
• Completion of audits, ensuring all on site documentation is current and complete
• Snow clearance and gritting in the winter months, providing support to other Fire Stations where required. 
• To provide ‘Meet & Greet’ service external Community Groups who utilize the Community Facilities within the Fire Station, to always ensure their safety. This will include the set up and tidy away of any required furniture. 
• Reporting building misuse or damage to the Mobile Operations Supervisor in a timely manner
• Understand the operation of the building to maintain a positive on-site relationship with customers and be aware of any potential or existing customer dissatisfaction or circumstance and ensure that management are suitably informed in a timely manner.
• Provide cover for holidays, sickness and emergencies when required at all 10 x Fire Stations.

For this role you must undergo BPSS level vetting. Part of this includes DBS clearance therefore ability to pass is essential.

Document Controller


Equans is looking for a Document Controller to join our team in Hatfield. This is a full time, permanent role with  a salary of up to £30,000 - £35,000 depending on skills and experience, plus benefits package.

This role is to work in our Places and Communities department specialising in refurbishments. Our ideal candidate will have document control experience in construction. You will be confidant when working with site teams and senior managers, as well as managing multiple projects at one time.

To manage the internal document systems and ensure that all documents are filed correctly, that they are up to date and the latest version. To ensure that all documents are distributed in accordance with the PMP.

  • Act as EQUANS point of contact for all drawing and document control issues

  • Review and control of document management protocols
  • Archiving historical documentation
  • Assist Design Managers/Co-ordinators and project teams in document management
  • Clear communication of expectations for documents management with designers / design sub-contractors

  • Produce weekly report of information logged and circulate
  • Monitoring of design technical queries
  • Distribution of design information
  • Completion, maintenance and monitoring of records

  • Training new users and offering refresher sessions to existing users

Facilities Manager


Equans is looking for an Facilities Manager to join our team in Speke on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.

This role will be based from the Equans Speke office with additional travel across the contract for Knowsley Schools.

What will you deliver?

  • The role holder will manage the delivery of the Hard Facilities Services for the Knowsley Schools PFI estate.
  • To ensure Equans meet the rectification targets for all reactive works and site team PPM activity.
  • To work with the Helpdesk function and site teams to ensure all completion times for planned, corrective and reactive works are correctly logged and recorded.
  • To deputise for the Account Manager as necessary.
  • To oversee small & medium sized variation works as requested by the client, ensuring all elements of pricing, CDM and internal contractual requirements are met.
  • Support Equans’ Project Management division with larger Variations as and when appropriate.
  • To manage, motivate and inspire the Equans’ site teams.
  • Carry out monthly Manager Safety Visits and record findings in the AIMs system.
  • To conduct monthly audit checks of legislative compliance folders with the site teams and escalate any concerns to the Technical Services Manager as necessary.
  • To ensure that all risks relating to safety, health, environment, and quality are effectively managed through the use of risk assessments, PPE, training and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment for both Equans employees and end users.
  • To work closely in support of the Works Cost Co-Ordinator to ensure consistent accuracy of all billing streams and enable timely processing and payment of completed works.
  • Attend Quarterly SMT and monthly client meetings as requested to provide contract level operational input

Junior Project Manager


Equans is looking for an Junior Project Manager to join our team in Speke on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

  • Assist Project managers with Lifecycle and Variations Project Management, ensuring all Projects are managed, operated and completed with uncompromised efficiency, on time and to budget.
  • Liaison with all relevant parties involved with Projects, including working with the Client to interpret and develop a brief/scope of works in order achieving sign off prior to works commencement, planning, during the works and through to completion.
  • Follow the Company and on-site Developments process ensuring all relevant documentation is prepared/completed including the provision of costs, programmes, risk analysis, PPP works documentation etc.
  • Ensure all Project files are maintained to provide a fully auditable administrative trail in line with ISO accreditation.
  • Assist Project Managers with the procurement of an overall plan for works (including design, procurement, PPP pack review and sign off, works/construction, commissioning, training etc) for the Project to ensure the completion date is achieved and without incident.
  • Procure competent Contractors to carry out the design, works/construction and commissioning of the proposed development.
  • Monitor the progress of the design, works/construction and commissioning activities and action accordingly to ensure the works are completed within the time, budget, and safety and to the required quality.
  • Liaison and management of the performance of preferred suppliers/subcontractors to include controlling, scheduling and coordinating sub-contractors working on site, ensuring all Company and on-site procedures are followed such as Inductions, CRB clearance, competence etc.
  • Assist Project managers with carrying out Project review meetings in line with Project Management good practice.

HVAC Contract Manager


Equans is looking for an HVAC Contract Manager (mobile) to join our team in N/W Yorkshire on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

  • Full accountability for the financial aspects of contracts/accounts including P&L. WIP and Debt – Profitability is a main driver within this post to ensure we are effective and efficient on profit returns to the Business Unit
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and company procedures across the stakeholder groups
  • Ensure that all risks relating to (SHEQ) safety, health, environment and quality are effectively managed through the use of RAMS, PPE, training and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment for employees, clients and end users.

  • Set, monitor and control SLA’s and KPI’s seeking opportunities to provide added value across the delivery stakeholders.
  • Ensure mobile personnel manage the contract to the agreed SLA’s and KPI’s as they apply to technical and related services.
  • Work with the mobile teams in planning, implementing and monitoring the standards of all works relating to the PPM schedule and all reactive works
  • Review contract performance monthly with the Regional Manager and agree future plans.
  • Develop and monitor direct reports through training and regular reviews.
  • Deliver training and corporate briefings.

Senior Finance Business Partner - D&ES Services


EQUANS is looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner to join our team in London on a 12 month fixed term basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and package.

The Senior Finance Business Partner will work with the EQUANS Digital & Energy Services Finance Director to establish and maintain financial and management procedures, whilst formulating strategic plans for Embedded Energy roadmap and long-term growth alongside the UKBU, D&ES and Embedded Energy Management.

Ensure compliance with all regulatory and governance requirements and to provide financial advice, guidance and support to colleagues to enable them to make sound business decisions and meet the company’s objectives.  To lead the finance team to enable the smooth running of all finance & commercial processes, including procurement and accounts payable, cash collection and accounts receivable.  Supporting Embedded Energy with investment opportunities, through analysis and decision making (governance).

What will you deliver? 

Budget & Forecasting

  • Manage the preparation of the company budget and rolling forecasts, including monthly flash results, and monthly business performance reviews.
  • Report to management on variances from the established budget and rolling forecasts, and the reasons for those variances including reporting and KPI analysis.
  • Assist management with the formulation of overall strategic direction with EQUANS and Urban Energy management.
  • Assist the development team in the forecasting and budgeting of capital/renewals costs for products.
  • Formulating strategic and long-term business plans
  • Balance sheet management to ensure R&D investment is properly controlled and forecasted.

Financial Accounting & Audit

  • Supervise the company’s financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems.
  • Supervise the preparation and ensuring accuracy of the year end and monthly financial accounts and managing information.
  • Liaising with the auditors to ensure annual audits are completed on time and without error.
  • Supervise balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation
  • Liaising with EQUANS UK Shared Service Centre (SSC) finance team in preparing

Cash Management & Treasury

  • Forecast cash flow positions and any related borrowing needs.
  • Work with Treasury to ensure sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements.

Financial & Commercial Leadership

  • Test the financial impact of proposed strategic objectives, validate the authenticity of forecasts, and clarify the full impact of cost savings.
  • Provide independent checks and challenge to bids, and ensure correct governance is followed.
  • Assist with coaching junior staff in financial and commercial awareness.
  • Oversee the extension of credit to customers.
  • Ensuring internal Group procurement systems and procedures are followed.

Who are we looking for?  

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent), with significant post qualification experience.
  • Experience in staff management and ability to set clear priorities and goals.
  • Two to four years of experience in a similar position; experience within the technology sector is preferred.

Equans is looking for a Part time Evening Cleaner to join our team in Newcastle Family and Civil, Barras Bridge, NE1 8QF on a permanent basis working 10 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £11.79 per hour and benefits package.

Patient Services Team Leader


Equans is looking for a Patient Services Team Leader to join our team in Queen Alexandra Hospital, PO6 3LY, on a permanent full time basis working 35 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £25,899.34 per annum and benefits package.

Shift Pattern:

Two week rota working every other weekend with a day with a day off in the week.
Start time 12:00 to 19:30 with 1/2 an hour unpaid break.

What will you deliver?

The Team Leader will be report to the Facilities Management Team and be responsible for the cleanliness of the hospital and the supervision of Ward Housekeepers and Patient Service Assistants. Be able to discuss and liaise with Trust management and our customers in a proactive manner daily to ensure the contract specification is met in relation to Soft Services. To organise all daily tasks and work as a team with your fellow Team Leaders.

Resident Liaison Officer


Equans is looking for a Resident Liaison Officer to join our team in Silchester and surrounding areas. This is a full time, permanent role. On offer is a salary of £26,000 - £31,000 depending on skills and experience, company vehicle and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

  • To provide consultation and support to residents prior to, during and after works to their homes, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Managing the customer/resident journey whilst following the client and company engagement procedures
  • To develop effective working relationships with residents, clients, subcontractors, site-based personnel, local stakeholders, the local community and the Customer Care Department
  • Carry out choice events, consultation events and individual consultation with residents regarding future work.
  • Carry out individual resident inductions to include – introduction to Equans, the CLO/RLO
    process, scope of works, property and personal belongings condition surveys inclusive of photographs for evidence
  • Complete resident profiling and work with the site management team to implement effective working practices and discuss with the Client’s customer care team where appropriate
  • Agree access arrangements with the resident and book appointments to enable the work to their home
  • Organise and provide support needs: packing boxes, dust sheets, storage and other facilities
    as required and agreed.
