FRA Site Manager


Equans is looking for an FRA Site Manager to join our team working across the Northeast of England. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

 

The main purpose of the role is to assist the Contract Manager in the delivery of a high performing, effective and efficient /compliant FRA works and Refurbishment Service including the monitoring of a team of Trade Operatives and Sub-Contractors.

Responsible for the managing a team and sub-contractors delivering a wide range of FRA works, and Refurbishment works.  Responsible for the efficient use of resources and ensuring that, job planning, appointments, resource allocation, materials, plant and equipment are effectively utilised and continuously improved in accordance with service delivery targets.  The Site Manager is also responsible for bringing to the attention of the Contract Manager any arrangements/proposals that will improve job control, operational performance, relationships with Client’s representatives and maximise the utilisation of the Company’s IT system.

What will you deliver?

  • Providing support, mentoring and continual guidance for the team, reporting back to the Contract Manager where needed.
  • Ensure all activities meet with requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies, and general duty of care – Seeking further advise where appropriate.
  • Undertake appraisals to capture the development needs of each individual, with a focus on succession planning.
  • To either mobilise or provide absence cover in accordance with your Job role and position within the organisation.
  • Recommend necessary changes to improve performance based on analysis of weekly/daily Key Performance Indicator statistics.

M&E Operations Manager


Equans is looking for an M&E Operations Manager to join our team at Barnet Hospital on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

 

The post holder will be responsible for the Operational service performance of the site engineering, Fabric and Grounds team, ensuring the high level of service delivery required by the business and in accordance with the contract specification (PA) and all company procedures. To coordinate the site Operational teams, operational staff and subcontractors to deliver service in accordance with company procedures and ensure that activities comply with company and client protocols.

What will you deliver?

  • To assume ownership of the day to day site operation, taking responsibility for the delivery of services to the highest standard, ensuring the effective management of staff, the provision of excellent customer service and compliance with contract and company requirements
  • Responsible for the effective management of service delivery whilst complying to all contractual obligations
  • To effectively manage the site operational team and sub-contractors in order to achieve the highest levels of service delivery whilst observing financial efficiencies
  • To assist in the formulation of budgets, business plans and departmental strategies to meet the demands of service provision and build continuous improvement
  • The effective management of all HR related issues for staff ensuring the close liaison with the contract’s HR Manager to ensure that all issues are dealt with in accordance with company procedures and timescales, including probationary and performance reviews, absences, disciplinary, and performance management appraisals
  • To liaise with the client as required, day to day and with regular meetings as required in order to ensure any concerns are addressed professionally and satisfactorily
  • To manage business supply chains efficiency in order to achieve best value for money in the procurement of goods and services
  • To manage all associated subcontracted services and to ensure that subcontractors are able to carry out their duties in a safe and timely manner and that work is contractually compliant.  Review all associated paperwork and oversee regular service review meetings
  • To Manage PPM works process to ensure that SLA’s are met and that any remedial works is picked up via the site workflow process
  • To submit quotations, estimates and tenders for additional work as required and to be responsible for the review preparation, accuracy and processing of all accounts following completion of projects/events, in accordance with company guidelines and procedures
  • Responsible for overseeing the accurate completion of all necessary documentation, works records and statutory records
  • To compile various contractual and operational reports as required by the Senior Operations Manager or General Manager
  • To present a professional and polite image to all customers whilst maintaining and promoting good communication and developing relationships with the client, other service partners and colleagues at all levels, ensuring the delivery of consistently high standards of customer service
  • To fulfil health and safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the Company's Health & Safety Policy and Health & Safety Management Plans
  • To comply with the Company’s Policies, Management Plans and Procedures

Senior Project Manager - Mechanical


Equans Data Centers are seeking to appoint a Senior Project Manager – Mechanical, to support our growing Data Centre business.

We are committed to providing cutting edge solutions for our clients Data Centre facilities and are recruitment a Senior Project Manager – Mechanical to join our innovative team. The Senior Project Manager – Mechanical will be responsible for managing the team and the mechanical aspects of large projects from inception to completion, within set timescales, to high quality standards and within health and safety guidelines.

The Role

  • Manage a team to ensure work is carried out in full conformance with quality, environmental and safety standards.
  • Be an expert and provide guidance and direction to ensure operational excellence.
  • Coordinate and control the on-site construction process ensuring the site build progresses in line with plan.
  • Develop and agree electrical submission and approval process with the client and design team.
  • Support the overall programming and planning of the build.
  • Attend site meetings, effectively communicate and provide information for Progress Reports.
  • Chair and minute the subcontractor meetings.
  • Recording and reporting key metrics to team members and management.
  • Operational support including review of procedures, best practices and initiatives.

Compliance Manager


EQUANS are recruiting for a Compliance Manager to be based in Manchester or Seaham. This is a full-time permanent role working 38 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

General Overview

The main purpose of the role is to support the regions profile of energy solutions within the region, identifying and working up proposals for clients and consultants with a view to securing profitable Energy Solution offerings.

Develop a sustainability compliance framework to support BP growth targets for the Energy & Sustainability function of the region. Providing guidance to the business on environmental and sustainability issues. This will include extensive working with different departments and teams, providing support and technical guidance on compliance and governance on external funding opportunities.

Support client engagement strategies. Assist in the development of Client and Business Unit carbon reduction roadmaps.

To understand, implement and adhere to the company SHEQ policy/strategy and ensure all employees reporting to you do the same and being responsible for ensuring that SHEQ requirements are always upheld to the highest of standards.

Key Accountabilities

  • Client management and support to major projects - supporting Clients, tenants and customers through their retrofit journey with Equans. This may include: the provision of direct support to identify which retrofit measures are needed to achieve deep emissions cuts; helping Clients to coordinate the installation of measures.
  • Responsible for the management of compliance, legislation and internal/external sustainability measures.
  • Drive forward innovation- promote innovation and product support.
  • Understanding of Carbon Net Zero agenda – To have a wide knowledge and understanding of the Energy & M & E Services Sector and pass this Knowledge and learning into the Regional teams.
  • Management of funding through the ECO3 and all other renewable funding schemes.
  • Support the Bid Team on technical proposals, analytics and project support.
  • Develop relationships and partnerships with sustainability stakeholders, influencers and Clients.
  • Support internal engagement (Bids & Delivery) programs.
  • Carbon Impact reporting.
  • Management of PAS2030/35/MCS approval and compliance
  • Maintain effective Client mapping, trackers, and metrics/analytics
  • Participate in the development and execution of sustainability external engagement opportunities
  • Analyse external factors and emerging policy areas in order to identify potential opportunities and risks, always focused on the North's inclusive, sustainable growth agenda.
  • Develop relationships with all Equans Regional teams and develop and support partnership opportunities.
  • Provide and receive information of complex nature relating to energy management, carbon reduction, sustainability and governance matters.
  • Understand & apply the range of current and proposed UK sustainability related legislation to project solutions          e.g. Building Regulations Part L, FIT’s, RHI’s, Local Planning Policy, proposals etc.
  • Day to day supervision of other team subordinates during the delivery of the specific project or team activity
  • Raise regional profile as a leading provider of Energy Solutions - Work with Equans Centre, regional partners and the other regions to develop a ‘Energy Solutions’’ offering that meets the needs/ wants of our customers. Including presentations and reporting to stakeholders as required.
  • Drive growth in this product area- work with new and existing clients to create and convert a pipeline of opportunities which produce enhanced margin for the business.
  • Work with the senior management of business to ensure that sustainability and environmental management are embedded within the organisation.
  • Assist the Head of Sustainability in collating and analysing data in relation to Carbon, Waste, Product Procurement and Community initiatives.
  • Review and assist in the implementation of energy efficient programs with the organization.
  • Keep up to date with new and cutting-edge developments in the fields of sustainability and environmental management, ensuring effective communication within Equans.
  • Provide reports to the Head of Sustainability.
  • Attend divisional and departmental meetings as required.
  • Client interaction as required (through reporting, training and briefings).

Project Assistant


EQUANS is looking for a Project Assistant to join our highly successful Projects business unit primarily supporting M&E projects fit out projects to be based in our FM office at University Hospital Lewisham in Ladywell, South East London. This is a full-time role with 5 days weekly attendance required on site (there will also be site visits to other contracts we operate in Bromley, Sutton, Lewisham and Gravesend, as required). What will you deliver?

Retrofit Coordinator


EQUANS is looking for a Retrofit Coordinator to join our team in  Manchester on a permanent basis. This is a fulltime role working Monday to Friday. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package. 

Responsible for the management of the retrofit assessment and coordination process, including Survey Software Tool Development, Customer Journey and Trustmark Compliance on both survey and technical solutions.

This position is a crucial role to enable EQUANS to continue to deliver energy efficiency schemes in accordance with PAS2035 process, and in turn access funding schemes such as SHDF, LAD and ECO for our partners at scale.

 

What will you deliver? 

  • To have full responsibility for the overall management and delivery of the PAS2035 process, including assessment, design, installation and handover and monitoring, as defined in PAS processes.
  • Manage the retrofit survey process throughout the northern region, ensuring high standards of quality and compliance throughout the process
  • Work with Sustainability Manager & Sustainability Team in establishing EQUANS as the partner of choice in energy efficiency retrofit solutions through SHDF, LAD, ECO and any other available funding streams.
  • Provide accurate and effective energy modelling using RdSAP and full SAP, and provide guidance on solutions for meeting specific scheme criteria.
  • Delivery against specific objectives and targets on retrofit schemes.
  • Manage the PAS2035 lodgement process  on trustmatk in accordance with main contract delivery programmes to allow timely draw down of funding.
  • Ensure that the entire end to end surveying process and customer journey provides the highest standards for both our ‘traditional customers’ (RSLs, LAs etc) as well at the end user customers (House Owners, tenants etc)
  • Ensure that the surveying of schemes exceeds targets in terms of survey quality, maximising outputs, and compliance with Trustmark
  • Be the main technical point of contact for Retrofit Coordination and energy modelling and manage relationship with key client stakeholders delighting and exceeding customers expectations
  • Work closely with operational teams to maintain timely and accurate survey information and specification solutions
  • Set up, implement and work with external survey partners on delivering retrofit surveys.
  • Work closely with external solution providers and designers to ensure high quality technical solutions to be passed on to delivery teams
  • Implement and manage an audit programme on both internal and external Assessors to ensure high standards of surveys
  • Assist the Bid Team on quality submissions for tenders ensuring that high standards of technical and process solutions of conveyed
  • Provide a single source of technical knowledge and leadership for the business unit.
  • Disseminate regular updates and briefings to teams, in line with technical developments.

Shift Maintenance Electrician

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Shift Maintenance Electrician to join our maintenance team working at a prestigious central government building in Westminster. This is a permanent shift-based role working 38.5 hours per week on a rolling rota of 4 shifts on, 4 shifts off - DAY SHIFTS ONLY from 07:00 to 19:00. 

The role:

  • Reporting to the M&E Shift Supervisor
  • To maintain all buildings and plant to the required levels as set out by management
  • Carry out a range of building service tasks, mainly electrical and mechanical planned and reactive works
  • To ensure prompt and accurate completion of associated paperwork, recording recommendations and/or material requirements accordingly
  • To make recommendations of replacement parts and materials to ensure the highest levels of equipment and building availability.
  • To oversee specialist sub-contractors
  • To work to the highest standard and in full compliance with statutory legislation
  • To cover for other technicians as necessary in various buildings, including participation in a call out work rota
  • Working 38.5 hours per week on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern of days only – 07:00 to 19:00


The person:

  • Must hold a recognised Electrical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant Electrical discipline with suitable industry experience; mechanical qualification/experience is a bonus
  • C&G 2391 Testing & Inspection and BS7671 qualifications (or equivalent) are desirable
  • Must be appointed in at least 1 AP/CP role, and attend any training as necessary to maintain this
  • Desirable to have experience of building services/maintenance/facilities management 
  • Will be able to demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to work on own initiative as well as within a team with a proactive, flexible, can-do attitude
  • Employment in this post is dependent upon obtaining security clearance; this requires 5 years’ residency in the UK and a current British or EU passport.
