Maintenance Electrician
Equans is looking for 3x Maintenance Electricians to join our team in Blackburn on a permanent basis for our Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
General Overview:
Based at Royal Blackburn Hospital, the Maintenance Electrician will be responsible for
The Maintenance Electrician will complete electrical and some mechanical engineering activities and undertake duties for which their trained and competent to do. There is a Technical Services management team based on site that can offer specialised technical advice and who can liaise with the appropriate levels of management to facilitate all works and activities are delivered and managed in accordance with all relevant regulations and guidance.
• Carries out electrical planned and reactive maintenance on all on site infrastructure.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with clients and develop excellent professional working relationship to ensure a smooth running of the business.
• Organise works allocated in a timely manner and work supportively with the team.
• Carry out operational activities in a manner that ensures personal safety and in a manner that does not endanger the safety of others.
• Ensure that Equans are able to meet their statutory and contractual obligations whilst simultaneously providing an excellent service to our customers.
• Diagnose, fault-find, commission systems, monitor and assess ongoing machine/facility performance, through Planned Preventive Maintenance programme, identifying any additional works required.
• Assist in installing, commissioning, and servicing plant, equipment and specialist healthcare/ patient equipment.
• At all times maintain a smart appearance and professional manner that is representative of EQUANS in the workplace.
• Carry out and assist in planned/reactive maintenance to on-site systems.
• Flexible working hours required which may include overtime working
• Participate in the on-call rota.
• Administer and complete relevant paperwork.
• Fair, consistent, and courteous attitude in all dealings at all levels.
• Ability to work under pressure, take ownership of problems and deal with them to their conclusion.
• Ensure that all issues are reported to the Technical Services Supervisor/ Technical Services Manager.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, NHS and company procedures, maintaining up to date knowledge always.
• Participate in the on-call system.
Impact:
The individual will play a vital role to Equans, working alongside an already established technical team to ensure that the operations are legally and contractually compliant and represent excellence in service delivery.
Complexity:
The primary complexities of the role are around the management of the workflow from helpdesk/ CAFM system through to completion and sign off. We are looking for a driven individual to add expertise and dimension to the FM team. They will be able to demonstrate flexibility and efficiency in responding to changing business requirements and will establish good working relationships with their team members. Qualifications and Required Experience:
• Apprentice trained and qualified/experienced in relevant trade (Electrical)
• Basic computer literate.
• Experience particularly in the healthcare environment. (Desirable)
• Attention to detail and problem solving.
• A self-starter, good attitude, good communicator and a people person
• Health & Safety courses qualifications (i.e. company or industry standard).
• Experience of working with contractors.
• Strong customer focus with experience of delivering high standards of Customer Service, previous FM experience within a hospital and/or PFI environment or a similar large, complex and technically demanding site would be an advantage.
• Sound awareness of risk assessment and working safely.
• Experience of working within safe systems of work (SSOW) – permit to work, induction process, etc.
• Preferably experienced with HVAC, Pump systems, Lighting and Power, Fire Alarms, IPS, UPS, BMS, Generation, Passenger/ Goods Lifts, Switchgear.
• Good knowledge of It based systems such as Microsoft Office and CAFM based hand held devices.
• Sound knowledge of the practical implementation of Health & Safety.
• Experience of working within a Healthcare environment desirable but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence required.

General Overview
The main purpose of the role is to assist the Energy, Sustainability, and Innovation team in the undertaking of their duties within the North. This includes the provision of support on low carbon and energy efficiency services to both internal and external clients. Administration of funding opportunities and project administration.

General Overview
To take responsibility, ownership and accountability of the successful management and control all aspects of the commercial / financial and contractual elements of the designated project in order to control and maximise the company’s profitability, protect the companies legal and contractual obligations under the contract and to manage proactively the control of all commercial issues. Reception Supervisor
Equans is a renowned energies & services contractor and a proud member of the Bouygues global industrial group. Our expertise spans the design, construction, and maintenance of buildings and critical infrastructure worldwide.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Reception Supervisor to join our Facilities Management team at our client’s high security site in Gravesend. This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
The role:
- To supervise and work as part of the front of house team ensuring that all core duties / positions are covered and staffing levels are in line with contractual obligations and service requirements
- To provide reception cover in accordance with the contract
- To provide a high level of day to day customer service to the reception desk including issuing of visitor passes and permissions for access to the building
- To take the lead on customer service training for Reception ensuring provision of a highly professional service for all visitors, maintaining records and observing strict security procedures
- Handle building users enquiries both over the phone and in person
- To arrange and administer the provision of classroom/accommodation bookings ensuring that all requirements are captured
- To lead, manage and motivate direct reports through the effective use of goal setting, team briefings, appraisals, performance/attendance management, development and succession planning to support individuals and teams in fulfilling their potential and maximizing productivity
- To prepare weekly/monthly management reports
- Working 40 hours per week from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday
The person:
- Supervisory experience is essential
- This role will be subject to Metropolitan Police security clearance.
- Previous experience of working in a reception environment
- Able to communicate at many different levels effectively (both in writing and verbally)
- Will be a committed team player with excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Must be client focused and able to represent the Company in a professional manner at all times
- Will have a good working knowledge in IT literate (MS Office).
