Maintenance Assistant


EQUANS is looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our team in Wakefield on a permanent basis at Pinderfields & Pontefract Hospital. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

General Overview: 
Working within the Technical Services team, the post holder will have the required skills to ensure the safe completion of repairs, minor planned installation, and maintenance work on a wide range of equipment, building fixtures and plant to the highest of standards for our clients.  
The main responsibilities include efficiently and effectively performing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities on lighting, water and heating services and reactive repairs to building fabric e.g. plasterwork, floor coverings, ceramic tiles etc as required. 
Beam Cleaners are required to work at hight inspecting and cleaning where required Active beams throughout the buildings.
Working as part of a wider estates team, there may be a requirement to undertake other tasks as required.

Impact:
The objective of the department is to operate and maintain a physical environment in which healthcare can be delivered to the patient. The main elements being the maintenance of both building fabric and services e.g. external and internal finishes, fittings and fixtures, plumbing, electrical and mechanical services, etc.

Compliance with all statutory requirements in relation to safe working practices and safe operation of plant, equipment and services. Keeping records of all activities as per all Health Technical Memoranda (HTM) and Quality Assurance requirements.

Complexity:
• Work with and assist electrical, mechanical, plumbing, joinery trade personnel as directed. 
• Work and assist external contractors as required
• Liaise with hospital staff on a daily basis. 
• Carry out minor maintenance works and minor repairs to mechanical, electrical, plumbing and joinery equipment. – such as blocked sinks and toilets, lamp replacement and general repairs to fixtures and fittings (ceiling tiles, blinds, cupboards, ironmongery) and minor redecoration.
• Carry out HTM 04-01 Legionella and water hygiene checks.
• Carry out general labouring duties and other works commensurate with the grade, personal abilities and experience.
• Maintain records and complete service reports as appropriate.
• Adhere to H&S policies and comply with Safe Systems of work as operated by Technical Services, together with Statutory Regulations such as Health & Safety, COSHH etc.
• Maintain, adjust and operate associated trades machinery.
• Assist in the maintenance of accurate work and maintenance records.

The post holder will take responsibility for their own work
All employees have a duty to report any accidents, complaints, defects in equipment, near misses and untoward incidents, following EQUANS procedure.

Qualifications or Required Experience:
• Basic education to GCSE/’O’ Level in Maths and English or equivalent.
• Previous experience of general maintenance is beneficial.
• Previous experience in a similar role desirable, although not essential 
• C&G Certificate – Inspection and testing of Portable Electrical Appliances is desirable. 
• Must have (or be able to obtain) Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) clearance.

Electrician

General Overview

To carry out the duties as an Electrician in accordance with Statutory Regulations, Company policies and Procedures.  To assist the Team in producing a quality product meeting the requirements of the contract and in a safe manner.  Adhere to all requirements set by SHEQ team, policy, and strategy.

  • Carry out various Electrical tasks to a high standard as instructed by the company including:
    • Replacement of Consumer units.
    • Installing final sub-circuit wiring.
    • Fault finding

    • Testing in line with current edition of wiring regulations (BS.7671)

Dit ga je doen als Fitter
Je takenpakket is breed en gevarieerd, ongeacht of je op klantlocatie werkt of in onze shop aan het kantoor in Farmsum:

  • installatie en montage: werk met grote, dikwandige buizen volgens werktekeningen die de materiaalspecificaties en afmetingen aangeven.
  • samenwerking: werk samen met andere disciplines om tot een functioneel geheel te komen.
  • uitvoering: zorg dat de installatie wordt opgebouwd conform de werktekeningen en (veiligheids)voorschriften.

Tip: Zorg dat je tijdens het werk een opgeruimde werkomgeving behoudt en efficiënt omgaat met materialen en machines, zodat het productieproces minimaal wordt verstoord.

Voor onze afdeling Services Industrie zoeken we een Technicus Werktuigbouwkunde, Farmsum

Dit ga je doen als technicus werktuigbouwkunde
Als technicus werktuigbouwkunde bij Equans ben je (mede) verantwoordelijk voor het uitvoeren van onderhoud aan de installaties van diverse klanten (o.a. afsluiters, turbines, smeerolie- en koelsystemen en compressoren).
Je voert samen met je collega’s preventief -, correctief - en storingsonderhoud uit, veelal in de regio Delfzijl en op het Chemiepark, maar ook daarbuiten bij andere klanten in Noord-Nederland. Je bent dus altijd lokaal en in je eigen regio aan het werk. Je onderhoudt en repareert alle voorkomende installaties binnen de afgesloten (onderhouds)contracten. Jij en je collega’s zorgen er samen voor dat de opdrachtgever gewoon door kan gaan met waar hij mee bezig is. De installaties zijn bij jou in goede handen.

Je bent medeverantwoordelijk voor het in stand houden en/of wijzigen van alle voorkomende installaties, apparatuur, machines en gereedschappen. De werkzaamheden bestaan uit het inspecteren, onderhouden, repareren, modificeren, reviseren en rapporteren van verschillende installaties. Daarbij is het van belang, dat de werkzaamheden altijd veilig worden uitgevoerd, de kwaliteit voldoet aan de gestelde eisen, het werk conform planning wordt uitgevoerd en geen schade wordt toegebracht aan het milieu. Je rapporteert over de uitgevoerde werkzaamheden en eventuele bijzonderheden, zodat eventueel benodigde vervolgacties in gang kunnen worden gezet

Dit breng je mee
Als Technicus Werktuigbouwkunde bij Equans beschik je in elk geval over:

  • een afgeronde technische mbo-opleiding (bijvoorbeeld Werktuigbouwkunde, AOT of anders)
  • enige werkervaring of in ieder geval affiniteit met de industrie
  • ervaring met of interesse in industriële installaties zoals pompen, tandwielkasten, ventilatoren, compressoren afsluiters, hydrauliek, maar ook met flensen en industriële leidingen
  • een goede zelfstandig werkhouding, maar als het nodig is ben je ook een echte teamplayer
  • een kwaliteitsgerichte instelling, maar bovenal heb je ook veiligheid hoog in het vaandel staan

Dit ga je doen als coördinator Bouwpas
Als coördinator Bouwpas vervul je een essentiële rol in het waarborgen van veiligheid en naleving van wet- en regelgeving op onze projectlocaties. Door toenemende vereisten met betrekking tot wet- en regelgeving, veiligheid, compliance en digitalisering kiest Equans Zuid-Nederland ervoor om te werken met de Bouwpas. Dit gebruiksvriendelijke IT-systeem stelt ons in staat om in een steeds complexer wordende omgeving te voldoen aan geldende wet- en regelgeving rondom uitbesteed werk en externe inhuur, terwijl het de administratieve werklast op onze projectlocaties vermindert.

Bij alles wat je doet haal jij het beste uit jezelf. Dus, naast bovenstaand, ook bij:

  • implementeren en beheren van de Bouwpas en daaraan verbonden processen binnen projecten in Zuid Nederland
  • opzetten en inrichten van projecten in de Bouwpas en gekoppelde toegangscontrole systemen

  • inzichtelijk houden van alle leveranciers en arbeidskrachten binnen projectketens
