Sub Contractor Manager
Equans is looking for a Sub-contractor Manager to join our team in Heysham 1 Power Station on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
The role holder will coordinate subcontractor activities on site. By setting and maintaining a high standard of SHEQ compliance from all subcontractors who operate on behalf of Equans at Heysham 1 Power Station.
What will you deliver?
- Manage Equans SMOC process and ensure any subcontractors working on site are fully approved on SMOC with relevant SMOC documentation in place.
- Conduct subcontractor inaugural meetings with subcontractors before work can commence. (Every annual)
- Oversee / manager any subcontractor supervisors/field supervisors, ensuring supervision is meeting expectations. (Suitable setting to work, pre job brief, spot checks etc)
- Meet/greet subcontractors working on behalf of Equans on day of work.
- Update subcontractor manager board
- Conduct a robust setting to work and pre job brief with subcontractors working for Equans. (Where required)
- Review subcontractor RAMS prior to work and review on day of work with subcontractors ensuring subcontractors understand their RAMS/SSOW and sign off stating they understand and will follow their RAMS when working.
- Ensure any high risk works subcontractors undertaken are approved to complete by local ISM, ensuring local ISM has reviewed and approved subcontractor RAMS prior to task commencing.
- Supervise and oversee works in the field by completing regular spot checks on subcontractor working. (active supervision)
- Liaise with operations manages/supervisors planning subcontractor works and build strong relationships with teams to support subcontractor works.
- Review subcontractor performance on regular basis and feedback to operation managers and local ISM on any Health & Safety concerns/issues.
- Core focal point for site overseeing contractor management on day-to-day basis.

Who are we looking for?
- NEBOSH General Certificate or working towards completion within 6 months of the starting the role.
- Minimum of 2 years in a compliance/Health and Safety/Subcontractor management role.
- Experience in managing subcontractors.
- Display an ability to drive Health and Safety performance in subcontractors.
- Ability to own and facilitate a safe subcontractor management system ensuring safety remains number one priority.
- Experience in Health & Safety systems.
- Communicate across all levels working within performance management systems
- Effective and decisive organisational skills with experience in introducing new ideas and approaches
- Understanding of a Technical requirements preferably with certification or a good knowledge and background of facility and domestic disciplines.
- CITB – SMSTS/IOSH Managing safely as a minimum.

Cleaning Supervisor
Equans is looking for a Facilities/Cleaning Supervisor to join our team in Royal Courts of Justice, Strand, London, WC2A 2LL on a permanent basis covering multiple sites in and around central London. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £29,500.00 per annum and benefits package.
Shift Pattern:
Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm with a half hour unpaid break.
Flexibility is required to meet the needs of business which may require early starts or late finishes.
What will you deliver?
Reporting to the facilities supervisor for HMCTS, the Facilities Manager will be the lead for the cleaning teams for their HMCTS site that keep the building clean and tidy to the highest standard of hygiene, health and safety whilst maintaining a professional manner with all members of staff and general public.
As a facilities Supervisor /Cleaning supervisor you will be responsible for supervising our cleaning teams to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and customer service is maintained across our large-scale government contract.
For this role you must undergo BPSS level vetting. Part of this includes DBS clearance therefore ability to pass is essential

Regional SHEQ Manager
Equans is looking for an Regional SHEQ Manager to join our team in Edinburgh on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.
Based from our Royal Infirmary of Edinburg the role holder will provide guidance and leadership to ensure that contracts in the Sustainable FM division meet their statutory health and safety requirements and to assist contracts in delivering business initiatives.
This role will identify and deliver solutions to improve operational Health and Safety management and performance in contracts Scotland and Cork. Working closely, and in partnership, with the operational teams this role will ensure the EQUANS H&S objectives and safety culture are embedded and improved across the operational sites across the region.
What will you deliver?
- Management of Health And Safety across the Regional Operational area to ensure all work is undertaken to external and internal standards and guidelines.
- Work with the Sr Health And Safety Managers, SHEQ Solutions, CDM and Central SHEQ to utilise and maintain adequate systems to meet all statutory and EQUANS obligations.
- Ensure all reportable data (Near Misses, Accidents, RIDDORs, HiPos, LTI’s, Incidents, LSV/MSV) is recorded accurately on the contract – coach contracts, sites and individuals where required.
- Establish Health And Safety Action Plans for each contract with the Contract Director/Manager – these outputs will deliver safer workplaces, improved employee engagement, culture and support our work-winning activity as models of best practice.
- Act on the findings of Health And Safety audits – providing guidance to the sites and feedback to SHEQ Solutions on tools, processes and systems that made be needed to improve the safety and quality of our work.
- Mentor the Safety Ambassadors within the contracts that you will be responsible for.
- Lead by example in following the company’s Responsible Business values and objectives
- Ensure that each contract has a Training Matrix or Learning Management System to ensure that all colleagues within the region have the appropriate H&S training, qualifications, and development. The delivery of training that impacts safety should be monitored and prioritised.
- Lead investigations and liaise with stakeholders, ensuring detailed investigations are undertaken and full reports/ recommendations are provided – these reports will adequately identify the root causes of incidents.
- Hold close out meetings, to ensure incidents/ investigations are fully closed and firm action plans with recommendations are presented to the Accident Incident Review boards to prevent further occurrences across the division and UKBU.
- Support other internal functions to ensure systems and resources are appropriate to manage the risks across the area.

HV ICP Manager

We have a great opportunity for a HV ICP Manager to work on a street lighting and highways lighting projects, specialising in the maintenance, installation, and repair of LED lighting assets across various locations in the UK.
The ideal candidate will manage the implementation of high-voltage electrical frameworks for an Independent Connection Provider (ICP); as part of our wider projects.
Key Responsibilities:
High Voltage Accreditation:
- Lead the process of obtaining High Voltage accreditation by meeting the requirements set by relevant authorities and standards
- Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards for high voltage testing and calibration.
- Prepare and submit necessary documentation for accreditation
NERS Accreditation Maintenance:
- Maintain NERS accreditation by adhering to the scheme's requirements and undergoing regular audits
- Implement and monitor quality management systems to ensure ongoing compliance with NERS standards
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of work procedures and risk assessments.
ICP Development:
- Develop and implement strategies to establish the company as an Independent Connection Provider (ICP)

- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all high voltage projects comply with industry standards and client specifications.

Skills, qualifications & experience
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Energy, or a related field.
- Solid experience in managing HV electrical distribution systems, preferably in an ICP environment or with utilities.
- In-depth knowledge of HV electrical systems, network design, and regulatory requirements (e.g. NERS, IEC, ENA, Ofgem).
- Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and best practices, particularly in high-voltage environments.
- Proven experience in managing and delivering large-scale projects in compliance with technical specifications and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience in working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).

Station Reception Officer

This is a permanent full-time shift based position working an average of 40 hours per week both days and nights, 6 days on, 4 days off with a 30 minute unpaid break.

The role:

Station Reception Officer
Equans is a renowned energies & services contractor and a proud member of the Bouygues global industrial group. Our expertise spans the design, construction, and maintenance of buildings and critical infrastructure worldwide.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Station Reception Officer to join our operational team at Lewisham Police Station on a 12 month fixed-term contract. This is a shift based position working an average of 40 hours per week both days and nights, 6 days on, 4 days off with a 30 minute unpaid break.
Shift pattern is as follows:
2xET: 0600-1600
2xLT: 1200-1000
2xND: 0830-0630
The role:
- Reports to Facilities & Services Manager
- Providing an efficient first point of contact for members of the public
- Answer calls promptly and clearly before re-routing callers accordingly
- Operate computer systems accurately to record enquires
- Receive and administer property
- To be responsible for the security, safety and tidiness of the station reception areas
- Working an average of 40 hours per week on a 6 on 4 off shift pattern, 10 hour shifts, earlies, lates and nights.
- May be required to provide occasional cover at other sites within SE London
The person:
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent with a good standard of written/spoken English
- Diligent customer service attitude
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good IT skills
- Subject to security vetting by the Metropolitan Police

Shift Maintenance Electrician

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Shift Maintenance Electrician to join our maintenance team working at a prestigious central government building in Westminster. This is a permanent shift-based role working 38.5 hours per week on a rolling rota of 4 shifts on, 4 shifts off - DAY SHIFTS ONLY from 07:00 to 19:00.
The role:
- Reporting to the M&E Shift Supervisor
- To maintain all buildings and plant to the required levels as set out by management
- Carry out a range of building service tasks, mainly electrical and mechanical planned and reactive works
- To ensure prompt and accurate completion of associated paperwork, recording recommendations and/or material requirements accordingly
- To make recommendations of replacement parts and materials to ensure the highest levels of equipment and building availability.
- To oversee specialist sub-contractors
- To work to the highest standard and in full compliance with statutory legislation
- To cover for other technicians as necessary in various buildings, including participation in a call out work rota
- Working 38.5 hours per week on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern of days only – 07:00 to 19:00
The person:
- Must hold a recognised Electrical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant Electrical discipline with suitable industry experience; mechanical qualification/experience is a bonus
- C&G 2391 Testing & Inspection and BS7671 qualifications (or equivalent) are desirable
- Must be appointed in at least 1 AP/CP role, and attend any training as necessary to maintain this
- Desirable to have experience of building services/maintenance/facilities management
- Will be able to demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to work on own initiative as well as within a team with a proactive, flexible, can-do attitude
- Employment in this post is dependent upon obtaining security clearance; this requires 5 years’ residency in the UK and a current British or EU passport.

Equans Refrigeration & Heating Solutions is specialist in industriële koeltechniek, warmtepompen en invriestechnologie. Wij ontwikkelen en realiseren duurzame, efficiënte en klantgerichte installaties voor de voedingsmiddelenindustrie en de agrarische sector.
Functieomschrijving:
Als gecertificeerd TIG-lasser werk je aan diverse koeltechnische installaties, zowel op projectlocaties bij klanten als in onze werkplaats in Emmeloord. Je voert las- en fitwerkzaamheden uit aan installaties die worden gebruikt voor industriële en agrarische koel- en vriesoplossingen. De projecten variëren, waardoor geen dag hetzelfde is.
Flexibiliteit is essentieel: je wordt landelijk ingezet en kan indien nodig enkele dagen op locatie verblijven. Je werkt vanaf tekening en krijgt een uitstekende lasuitrusting en gereedschappen om je werk goed uit te voeren.
Wat ga je doen?
- Lezen en interpreteren van koeltechnische en 3D-tekeningen.

Dit breng je mee:
- Mbo-niveau 4 opleiding in Elektrotechniek of Energietechniek.
- STIPEL NEN3140 VP en NEN3840 certificaat of gelijkwaardig.
- Minimaal 5 jaar werkervaring in inbedrijfstelling, werkverantwoordelijke (IV), commissioning engineer LS/MS/HS of een vergelijkbare rol.
- Ervaring met complexe elektrische installaties en kennis van hoogspanningsinstallaties.
- Goede beheersing van Nederlands en Engels.
- Geldig VCA-VOL certificaat.
- Bereidheid om cursussen te volgen en certificaten te behalen.
