Grounds Assistant


Equans is looking for a Grounds Assistant  to join our team in the University of Brighton Mithras House,  BN2 4QX  on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £26,280.00 per annum and benefits package.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday Monday to Friday 08.00-17.00 

For this role you must undergo BPSS level vetting. Part of this includes DBS clearance therefore ability to pass is essential

What will you deliver?

To maintain the allocated sites and associated grounds to a professional standard, by means of litter and weed control, graffiti removal, and snow and ice removal.

Undertake weed control  to the planters, raised beds and turfed areas as required

Contract Administrator


Equans is looking for a Contract Administrator to join our team in Liverpool Central Library on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £12.31 per hour and benefits package.

 

Reporting to the Account Manager, the Contract Administrator will be responsible for administration duties associated with the contract.

What will you deliver?

 

  • Prepare and collate monthly performance and paymech reports.
  • Prepare monthly payment notices and invoices.
  • Assist with minute taking and reports as and when required.
  • Coupa – responsible for managing purchase orders, example receipting, invoice approval.
  • Ensuring billable work is invoiced in a timely manner.
  • Manage purchasing, receipting, WIP and associated administration.
  • Update and maintain Defects Log.
  • Complete Variations / ANC for Client sign off.
  • Undertake daily cleaning audits.
  • Maintain sub-contractor register.
  • Complete and submit timesheets for the cleaning team, manage/approve cleaning team holidays.
  • Organise cover for the cleaning team when they are on leave/absent within the cleaning budget.
  • Creating of Work Order and Purchase Orders on Maximo.
  • Run Business Reports when required.
  • Any other duties that may be required in order to facilitate the efficient operation of the Contract.
  • Provide administrative cover to other parts of the FM Administration Team during staff absences or when required.
  • Collate and distribute O&M information.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate and compliant maintenance records for statutory and implied statutory activities.
  • Be the main point of liaison with the Regional Operations Centre (Helpdesk) to ensure that scheduled maintenance visits are booked in a timely fashion, and that corresponding maintenance records are received and locally reviewed in a timely manner.
  • Support Account / Technical Manager on non-compliance or unavailability of services, including impact to financial performance.
  • Support team meetings and events as necessary.
  • Understand and meet customer requirements, delivering consistently high service levels and utilising feedback to improve service.
  • Updating and issuing delay requests to the Client and via Maximo.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties.

  • Assist in ensuring that work is carried out in full conformance with quality environmental and safety requirements

Mechanical Shift Engineer


Equans is looking for a Mechanical Shift Engineer to join our team at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh Hospital on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working on average 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

The post holder will very much be involved with the maintenance and minor works service covering a wide and varied range of mechanical equipment servicing large industrial units such as dual fired boilers and heating and ventilation distribution equipment.

*The role is working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern covering days, backs and nights.  

What will you deliver?

  • Undertake fault finding on complex medical gas systems, MTHW /LTHW pressure heating water systems, critical systems and equipment and pressurised steam systems
  • Using cause effect analysis and detailed examination to gain a solution and use of all relevant drawings and schematics
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance, inspections, commissioning and testing in accordance with published procedures, completing all report sheets and test certificates as necessary and mark up any drawing alterations
  • Use of all relevant tools and equipment within safety guidelines as necessary for the completion of works ensuring full compliance with EQUANS Guidelines and Controls e.g. Risk Assessment, Site Safety, Fire Safety, Control of Infection and Hazardous Substances
  • Work involves the use of analytical test devices, specialist tools, workshop fixed equipment, portable electrical equipment, welding equipment, emergency generators, medical gas equipment (patient use) suction units, geared drives

Fabric Engineer


Equans is looking for a Fabric Engineer to join our team on the HMCTS contract in a mobile capacity covering Telford and the surrounding area. This is a full-time permanent role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £28,000 per annum and in addition you will receive an excellent benefits package. 

We’re looking for a reliable and competent Fabric Engineer to join our dynamic facilities management team. You’ll play a critical role in maintaining a wide range of building fabric and limited engineering assets, ensuring safety, functionality, and visual standards are consistently met.

What will you deliver? 

  • Carry out both planned and reactive maintenance across a wide variety of assets
  • Conduct Legionella control and monitoring, including tap flushing
  • Inspect and repair: floors, ceilings, walls, doors (including Fire Doors), windows, and furniture
  • Perform basic plumbing, drainage clearance, and lighting maintenance
  • Complete painting, decorating, and hanging of signage or notices
  • Assist engineering staff with broader maintenance tasks as required
  • Supervise subcontractors performing fabric-related tasks on site
  • Ensure all work is safely executed with proper use of PPE, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments
  • Accurately update and close work tickets in CAFM systems (e.g. PlanOn)
  • Maintain plant rooms and storage areas to high standards of cleanliness and safety
  • Provide support during emergency situations to ensure operational continuity
  • Be flexible in working hours and provide cover for holidays/sickness when needed

Qualifications:

  • NVQ or equivalent in Plumbing, Carpentry, or Decorating Services

Experience:

  • Proven experience in building fabric maintenance within a construction, repair, or facilities environment

Roofer


Equans is looking for a Roofers to join our team in Long Bennington on a Permanent basis. This is a full time role. On offer is a competitive salary, and benefits package.

The Roofer would provide responsive roofing repairs to properties, which would consist of pitched and flat roof repairs. 

What will you deliver?

  • Install, repair, and maintain roofing systems according to specifications and industry standards
  • Conduct inspections to assess the condition of roofs and identify necessary repairs
  • Repair leaks, renewing felt, refix or replace damaged concrete, clay or slate tiles including ridge, hip, verge, valleys and vertical tiles. To further include repairs to flashings, verges and RWP
  • Repair flat roofing to plain, mineral or torch on felt
  • Repair and replace roofing materials using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and supervisors regarding job requirements and progress
  • Respond promptly to emergency repair requests and ensure timely completion of assigned work orders

Who are we looking for?

  • NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds qualification in Roofing or equivalent
  • Valid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card
  • Proven experience in roofing repairs and maintenance work
  • Knowledge of various roofing materials and systems (slate, tile, flat roofs, etc)
  • Experience in conducting roof inspections and repairs
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations related to roofing work
  • Full UK driving license

Servicetechnicus Elektrotechniek - Schiphol


Hoe zou jij het vinden om naast een grote Boeing van KLM in een enorme hangar te mogen werken? Het kan zomaar eens je volgende uitdaging kunnen zijn als servicetechnicus elektrotechniek.

Dit ga je doen als servicetechnicus elektrotechniek

Wij beheren en onderhouden 93 gebouwen op de bijzondere omgeving van Schiphol. Dat is geen standaard vastgoed het gaat van hangaars tot datacenters, van kantoren, business lounges tot een dierenhotel en simulatorruimtes. Alles speelt een cruciale rol in het proces van KLM. Als bijvoorbeeld de liften in het catering gebouw stilvallen, dan komen de maaltijden letterlijk niet aan boord.

Van lampen vervangen tot het beheren van installaties voor 400 Hz-stroomvoorziening (speciaal voor vliegtuigen) – bij ons werk je aan alles. En altijd met oog voor duurzaamheid, innovatie en veiligheid.

Als servicetechnicus elektrotechniek ben jij een belangrijke schakel in het contact met onze klant en houd jij je bezig met de onderhoudswerkzaamheden aan de gebouw gebonden installaties binnen het areaal Industrie. Jij bent dé technische specialist die kan meedenken, snel schakelt en goed kan samenwerken met jouw collega’s en professionals binnen verschillende disciplines.

Jouw werkzaamheden zijn onder andere:

  • Uitvoeren van preventieve en correctieve onderhoudswerkzaamheden
  • Verrichten van metingen, periodieke inspecties en onderzoeken storingsbronnen
  • Zorgdragen voor een goede vastlegging van de uitgevoerde werkzaamheden
  • Opstellen van rapportages
  • Opnieuw inregelen en inbedrijfstellen van installaties binnen de planning
  • Meedraaien in de periodieke consignatiedienst van 4AMS, zodat plotselinge storingen zo snel mogelijk verholpen kunnen worden

Tendermanager


In de rol van Tendermanager ben je verantwoordelijk voor het voorbereiden en succesvol afronden van tenders binnen de utiliteit en industrie. Het gaat om tenders voor multidisciplinaire projecten vanaf ca. 1 tot ca. 80 miljoen euro en onderhoudscontracten vanaf ca. 300.000, - tot ca. 10 miljoen per jaar. Je begeleidt tendertrajecten zowel voor bestaande als nieuwe klanten, waarbij je zowel intern als extern de regie hebt om tot een getekend contract te komen.

Heb jij daarom kennis van de installatiebranche en weet jij complexe salestrajecten met veel stakeholders in goede banen te leiden? Dan ben jij de nieuwe collega die wij zoeken. Je weet een goed beeld te krijgen en in te leven in het beslissingsproces van de klant en kan wensen en verwachtingen vertalen naar een winnende tenderstrategie. Hierbij heb je een scherp oog voor commerciële kansen maar ook voor de risico's.

 
Dit ga je doen als Tendermanager

  • Het inventariseren en analyseren van de klantbehoefte om met het team tot een winnende aanbieding te komen 
  • Jij bent als Tendermanager de regisseur van het proces om tot de aanbieding te komen. 
    Je slaat een brug tussen de verschillende disciplines en stuurt het door jou samengestelde tenderteam aan, bestaande uit collega's van o.a. uitvoerende afdelingen, calculatie, finance, legal en inkoop
  • Jij weet een kwalitatief goed voorstel samen te stellen en te presenteren dat aansluit op de klantvraag en wat intern goedgekeurd is. Soms zelfs tot op het niveau van CEO Equans Global
  • Het verzorgen van de planning; je bewaakt de voortgang en het budget voor de offerte en houdt alles onder controle gedurende het gehele salestraject. Daarbij kan je voor inhoudelijke aspecten terugvallen op consultants met technische en of juridische kennis
  • Je stelt kritische vragen aan je tenderteam over mogelijke technische oplossingen en zorgt voor de best passende aanbieding
  • Gedurende de tenderfase zorg je voor een goede informatievoorziening aan het team en andere betrokkenen binnen de organisatie 
  • Je neemt na een succesvolle inschrijving de lead in daaropvolgende contractonderhandelingen
  • Na opdracht zorg je voor een zorgvuldige overdracht naar het uitvoeringsteam 

Dit breng je mee

  • Je hebt minimaal HBO of WO werk- en denkniveau en bij voorkeur enkele jaren ervaring als tendermanager
  • Affiniteit met techniek en de installatiebranche is een pré, maar ervaring in andere sectoren (bijv. ICT) is ook mogelijk
  • Sterke achtergrond binnen de branche in projecten of services is een pré
  • Visie en strategie in plannen van aanpak en goede schrijfvaardigheden, al dan niet ondersteund met AI-tooling
  • Procesmatig ben je sterk en vanzelfsprekend ben je goed op de hoogte van relevante ontwikkelingen in de markt en op het gebied van aanbestedingen en (nieuwe) contractvormen 
  • Je bent een verbindende factor die binnen de organisatie de verschillende disciplines tot elkaar weet te brengen
  • Je bent enthousiast en hebt een sterke drang om onderscheidend en succesvol te zijn en straalt dit ook uit naar je team
  • Je bent stressbestendig en houdt overzicht als je meerdere tenders doet
  • Je hebt oog voor details en legt de lat hoog voor jezelf en het team
  • Financieel inzicht, sterk in pricing en business cases is een pré
