Wat als jij de cruciale schakel bent die zorgt voor een efficiënte organisatie en uitvoering van complexe piping- en mechanische werkzaamheden?
Equans in Zwijndrecht zoekt een Site Supervisor Piping & Mechanical. Je organiseert en leidt een werf met onder andere werkkrachten, materieel en middelen, in overeenstemming met de financiële middelen. Afhankelijk van de grootte van de werf ben je verantwoordelijk voor de realisatie van een gedeelte of voor alle werkzaamheden.
Wat houdt deze job precies in?
- werkvoorbereiding:
- doornemen van de werkinstructies samen met de Project Manager
- werfbezoek en evaluatie van de montagewerkzaamheden
- zoeken naar oplossingen voor technische problemen, rekening houdend met het vooropgestelde budget
- bepalen van de werkvolgorde
- bepalen van de middelen: benodigde materialen, gereedschappen, personeel …
- werkverdeling:
- briefing van de werkplanning met de brigadiers en hun teams

Equans is looking for a RB & SHEQ Business Partner to join our team in Birmingham on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.
To provide guidance and leadership to ensure that contracts in the Sustainable FM Services division meet their statutory safety and environment requirements and to assist contracts in delivering on responsible business initiatives.
This role will identify and deliver solutions to improve operational safety, health, environment & quality (SHEQ) in contracts in the part of Sustainable FM that they are assigned to. Working closely, and in partnership, with the operational teams and the Responsible Business, CDM and Sustainable FM SHEQ Solutions teams this role will ensure the EQUANS objectives, Responsible Business (RB) & SHEQ culture are embedded within sites and contracts at a regional level.
What will you deliver?
- Management of RB & SHEQ across the Regional Operational area to ensure all work is undertaken to external and internal standards and guidelines
- Work with the Sr RB & SHEQ Managers, SHEQ Solutions BPs, RB, CDM and Central SHEQ to utilise and maintain adequate systems to meet all statutory and EQUANS obligations
- Ensure all reportable data (Near Misses, Accidents, RIDDORs, HiPo’s, LTI’s, Incidents, LSV/MSV, Waste, Water, Energy, Social Initiatives, Volunteering etc) is recorded accurately on the contract – coach contracts, sites and individuals where required
- Establish RB & SHEQ Action Plans for each contract with the Contract Director/Manager – these outputs will deliver safer workplaces, improved employee engagement, culture and support our work-winning activity as models of best practice
- Act on the findings of RB & SHEQ Audits – providing guidance to the sites and feedback to SHEQ Solutions on tools, processes and systems that made be needed to improve the safety and quality of our work
- Actively promote and champion Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and our Responsible Business (RB) agenda across the contracts that you will be responsible for
- Mentor the Safety Ambassadors and the Responsible Business Champions within the contracts that you will be responsible for
- Lead by example in following the company’s Responsible Business values and objectives
- Ensure that each contract has a Training Matrix or Learning Management System to ensure that all colleagues within the area have the appropriate Responsible Business, Quality and H&S training, qualifications, and development. The delivery of training that impacts safety should be monitored and prioritised
- Lead investigations and liaise with stakeholders, ensuring detailed investigations are undertaken and full reports/ recommendations are provided – these reports will adequately identify the root causes of incidents
- Hold close out meetings, to ensure incidents/ investigations are fully closed and firm action plans with recommendations are presented to the Accident Incident Review boards to prevent further occurrences across the division and UKBU
- Support other internal functions to ensure systems and resources are appropriate to manage the risks across the area
- Coach contracts to use the Divisional Reporting tools power Bi and feedback to the central SHEQ team on what further reporting may be needed
- Form strategic relationships with the HSE/EHO’s and other appropriate industry forums
- Support key bids, attend tender interviews, lead competitive dialogue in the bid process to demonstrate that H&S is top the agenda
- Support RB activities including volunteering posters, Clean Air Day campaign, Save Water campaign etc
- Working as a team with other RB & SHEQ Solutions BPs in Sustainable FM RB & SHEQ, functions and operations to ensure a positive Health & Safety culture, compliance and management system across the area BU

Equans is looking for a Part time Cleaner to join our team in Brighton Magistrates Court, BN2 0LG, on a permanent basis working 15 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £11.79 per hour and benefits package.

Assistant Commercial Manager
Equans is looking for an Assistant Commercial Manager to join our team in Birmingham on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.
The Assistant Commercial Manager will support the commercial delivery across a portfolio of complex contracts (PFI), working closely with the Account Directors/Managers. They will assist in the contract commercial management, delivery of contract action plans (profit improvement), risk and opportunity management along with focus on contract compliance.
The Assistant Commercial Manager will support in the management of numerous stakeholder relationships, including external relationships with clients, suppliers and internal Business Unit leadership and functions.
What will you deliver?
- Assist in analysing/managing risk, including assessing revenue opportunity vs cost & risk
- Assist in drafting and managing the commercial viability of variations
- Assist in negotiations for multiple disciplines including supplier negotiations & sub-contractor flow-downs
- Base knowledge of contract law and its application in services and construction
- Assist in modelling and testing contractual KPIs and Payment Mechanisms
- Sound financial acumen (P&L), good understanding of financial modelling, contract pricing and differing pricing models
- Assist in producing reports and summaries (ad hoc and regular) which can articulate key matters for a senior and/or non-commercial audience
- Support in defining, driving, and overseeing commercial & contract governance
- Commercial management of TFM and Minor Construction related works from inception through to completion
- Support in governance within the contracts to ensure that the requirements of the contract are being complied with
- Aiding the quality of service by ensuring awareness of contractual responsibilities among all other EQUANS colleagues (including contract deliverables, scope of services etc)
- Assisting in the search for efficiencies and service optimisation
- Enforcing commercial compliance (by audit and support against EQUANS’ Minimum Commercial Standards)
- Supporting the management of cash under their contract sector
- Taking a key supporting role in the management of contractual claims / disputes with clients and other third-parties
- Assist in Production of claims to any potential contentious contractual issue that may arise
- Supporting the identification, management, and mitigation of risks at all levels associated with bidding new contracts
- Ensure all functions comply with regard Governance process within the contracts and DLAs (Delegated level of Authority)

Who are we looking for?
- Advantageous to have experience within the PFI environment
- Industry experience in the role of a Quantity Surveyor / Assistant Commercial Manager
- Educated to degree/ diploma level in either Law, Business, Surveying (Building/Quantity), or the Built Environment (FM, Land)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong & confident communicator able to successfully engage and influence at all levels of the organisation, including up to Senior Operational Management and senior members of Functional Teams
- Starter – Finisher: seeing activities through to successful completion whilst creating a platform for engagement & collaboration
- The ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work under pressure

Senior Maintenance Electrician
Equans is a renowned energies & services contractor and a proud member of the Bouygues global industrial group. Our expertise spans the design, construction, and maintenance of buildings and critical infrastructure worldwide.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Maintenance Electrician to join our team providing Building Services maintenance at Southmead Hospital in Bristol. This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, from 07:00 to 15:30, Monday to Friday with a 30 minute unpaid break.
The role:
- Reporting to the Operations Manager / Head of Estates
- Supervise, lead and motivate all staff within your responsibility to ensure allocated and reactive work is completed to a defined standard, within the agreed time and budget.
- Carry out maintenance/repair of mechanical/electrical services to plant and equipment across the site and also refurbishments and new works
- Supervise sub-contractors for all mechanical / electrical / building work, ensuring work is carried out and completed in compliance with contract specification and to client satisfaction
- Carry out maintenance/repair/refurbishments/new works to plant and equipment across site
- Plan, prioritise and delegate work in accordance with response and rectification times set out in the contract for all trade staff and contract labour ensuring that all associated paperwork is completed within the required timescales
- Working 40 hours per week, from 07:00 to 15:30, Monday to Friday with participation in the on-call rota
The person:
- Must hold a recognised electrical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant electrical discipline with suitable industry experience
- Must be appointed in at least 2 electrical AP roles, and attend any training as necessary to maintain these
- Excellent knowledge of building maintenance including HVAC systems, gas appliances, piped medical gas systems, steam plant/equipment and all other equipment in plant rooms, patient areas, and other departments.
- Experience in managing and maintaining safe system of works (SSoW)
- Team player and able to motivate and manage staff, including specialist sub-contractors
- Able to communicate well with the client, as well as with peers, team and senior management.
