As an Equans graduate you will have the exciting opportunity to experience the diverse and interesting world of one of the UK’s biggest facilities management organisations.

Starting in September 2025, you will join our induction with all the other graduates in your cohort to start building your network and understanding of the Business before your specific placement commences. During your scheme, you will experience operational and functional roles alongside our engineering teams. Your time on the graduate scheme will span across a 2-year period, and you will complete between two to four rotations of either 6 or 12 months in length depending on the project type and department. You will need to be fully mobile as the placements could be based anywhere within the UK and graduates might need to relocate depending on the placement locations.

Energy Engineering Graduate Scheme Overview

Our Engineering teams deliver an incredibly wide range of technical services to our clients all over the country.  

As an Engineering Graduate within our Digital & Energy Services Division, you will rotate across different areas in order to build your knowledge of the business and develop your technical, people & project management skills.

You could be part of our Solar & Battery Storage Team getting involved in energy generation projects for low carbon on our Solar PV Farms, work with our Energy and Carbon Solutions Team supporting clients to increase efficiencies and create cost savings through low-carbon energy solutions or work alongside our Embedded Energy teams supporting the operations and management projects for a range of client and contracts. You will spend at least 6 months on one of our sites to understand the technical details of how we operate. You could also get exposure to a variety of areas such as design engineering, quality management, procurement, commercial, operations and management support, compliance, or project management.

A life in Engineering is never dull, and as a Equans graduate you will gain experience in what it takes to manage a range of engineering projects varying in size and complexity and work with diverse teams in a fun and rewarding industry.

Some of the roles and responsibilities you may undertake during your rotations could be:

  • Managing the financial and commercial activities under a variety of contracts, interacting with clients, vendors, and sub-contractors.
  • Delivering on client maintenance or engineering projects to deliver improved efficiencies and net zero objectives.
  • Supporting the operational and maintenance needs for various contracts ensuring client services are delivered safely and to the required standard.
  • Supporting the Operations, Maintenance, Engineering & Compliance teams to prepare information for large orders in line with policies and procedures.
  • Monitoring requirements from various sites to ensure the delivery of design documentation and equipment.
  • Supporting with the delivery of net zero plans and sustainability consulting services to a variety of clients.
  • Acting as an ambassador for Energy & Carbon solutions.

You may also work on specific projects for a variety of clients, for example:

  • Delivering net zero carbon and energy feasibility strategies to clients, including modelling and analysis, site audits to identify engineering and digital opportunities and client reporting.
  • Supporting with the financial, commercial and procurement activities for net zero carbon models.
  • Supporting the operational teams with projects, ensuring performance is monitored and regular forecasting and reporting is in place.

You may be based on an operational site or be required to travel to different client locations depending on your placement.

Over the graduate scheme, we will provide a wide variety of training opportunities to develop your engineering, leadership and management skills, so that you can excel in your role, and be ready for an Engineering Management role at the end of the scheme. You will gain exposure to different areas of the business and opportunities to increase your network, such as working on a business improvement project with other graduates which you will present to senior leaders. You will be encouraged and supported to apply to become a member of a relevant engineering institution and assisted in navigating a route to professional registration, for example with the Energy Institute. 

We’re looking for people who are motivated to continue learning and are ready to take on new opportunities. You won’t be alone during the scheme; you will be supported to drive your development through structured placement reviews and regular meetings with the Early Careers team. From day one you will have a buddy, usually a graduate in the year above, to share experiences with, and you will have a mentor throughout the scheme. You will also be able to join any of our employee-led networks, including our Young Professionals Network.

As an Equans intern you will have the exciting opportunity to experience the diverse and interesting world of one of the UK’s biggest facilities management organisations.

Starting in August 2025, you will join our induction with all the other interns before your specific placement commences to start building your network and understanding of the business. During your scheme, you will have the opportunity to gain insight and experience the diverse and exciting world of facilities management. Our internships also give an invaluable insight into our graduate scheme, which enables you to build a network and learn who you are. Whether your focus is operations, services or finance, we will help you figure out your full potential. You will need to be fully mobile as the placements could be based anywhere within the UK and interns might need to relocate depending on the placement locations.

This 12-month structured programme will give you unparalleled insight into one of our many divisions, as well as the opportunity to experience others, in order to develop your understanding of the whole business. Year in Industry Placement – Engineering Overview

Our Engineering teams deliver an incredibly wide range of services to our clients all over the country. You could be a part of the largest facilities management contracts in the UK where we work in partnership with some of the UK’s biggest hospitals or helping to mobilise our newest contract wins. A life in Engineering is never dull and as an intern you will gain experience of what it takes to work alongside large, diverse teams in a fun and rewarding industry.

You will have a passion for putting the customer first, working in teams and constantly looking to improve and innovate. Over the course of your internship scheme, you will gain an understanding of how we support our customers and how to deliver innovative solutions to our communities and clients.

Over the course of your internship scheme, you could gain exposure to:

  • Supporting the central Engineering & Compliance team train, assess and appoint our engineers to carry out complex isolation activities
  • Audit our contracts for compliance with our contractual maintenance obligations and ensuring the adequate application of our engineering safe systems of work
  • Assist our contracts in the planning of complex engineering activities, e.g. shutting down areas of our hospitals to carry out intrusive electrical testing and inspection
  • Following training given on the scheme, supporting a range of different contracts for the management of our Water or Gas systems
  • Development and build of our Asset management & Planned Maintenance systems, when mobilising a new contract

Site Administrator


EQUANS is looking for a Site Administrator to join our team in Slough. This is a full time permanent position offering a competitive salary and benefits package.

We are looking for someone who is highly organised and has solid experience in an administration environment, if you have worked in a construction company before this would be beneficial but not essential.

Year in Industry Placement – Finance Overview

Our Finance teams deliver an incredibly wide range of technical services to our clients all over the country. You could be a part of one of our largest facilities management contracts, where we work in partnership with some of the UK’s biggest hospitals, universities, and schools. Alternatively, you could be helping to mobilise one of our newest contract wins. A life in Finance is never dull and as a intern you will gain experience of what it takes to support large, diverse teams in a fun and rewarding industry.

You will have a passion for putting the customer first, working in teams and constantly looking to improve and innovate. Over the course of your internship scheme, you will gain an understanding of how we support our customers and how to deliver innovative solutions to our communities and clients.

Over the course of your internship scheme, you could gain exposure to:

  • Supporting our Shared Service Centre to develop your technical finance skills and understand some of the teams such as Accounting Services, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Supporting one of our central finance teams such as Pricing and Modelling, Financial Planning & Analysis or Tax
  • You could also work alongside one of our operational finance teams where you will be required to go on site to understand the way our teams work

You will also spend at least 6 months on site with one of our operational teams to understand the way our teams work so you can make an impact in your role. At the end of the scheme, you could become a junior finance business partner before moving to finance business partner upon qualifying.

Over the graduate scheme, we will provide a wide variety of training opportunities to develop your operational and financial knowledge, leadership and management skills, so that you can excel in your role. You will gain exposure to different areas of the business and opportunities to increase your network, such as working on a business improvement project with other graduates which you will present to senior leaders. You will also be able to start your CIMA or ACCA qualification while on the scheme.

Our Operational teams deliver an incredibly wide range of services to our clients all over the country. A life in Operations is never dull and as a graduate you will gain experience of what it takes to work alongside large, diverse teams in a fun and rewarding industry.

You will have a passion for putting the customer first, working in teams and constantly looking to improve and innovate. Over the course of your graduate scheme, you will gain an understanding of how we support our customers and how to deliver innovative solutions to our communities and clients.

As a graduate on the generalist pathway, you will typically complete 4 x 6-month rotations to explore various areas of the business and become as rounded as possible before specialising at the end of the scheme.

In your first year of the scheme, you will build a solid foundation of skills and knowledge. You will complete one placement on site with our operational teams and one placement in an operational support service function role such as in our Business Development, Finance, Procurement, Digital Transformation, Sustainability & Corporate Social Responsibility or Mobilisation teams.

In your second year, depending on your strengths and interests, you may move onto one of our other pathways such as Operational Management and do a longer 12-month placement to gain more responsibility and experience. Dit ga je doen als Juridisch Contractmanager

Als juridisch contractmanager is het jouw verantwoordelijkheid om samen met de projectmanager en het projectteam de projectdoelstellingen te behalen in een zo beheerst en voorspelbaar mogelijk proces. Je waarborgt de contractuele belangen van de projecten van de business unit Duurzame Energie en Netten in zowel de aanbiedings- als realisatiefase.

Hiernaast ben je betrokken bij het opstellen van omvangrijke, of van de normale procedure afwijkende, meerwerk opgave. Je onderneemt acties ter voorkoming van claims, vorderingen of aanspraken. Als juridisch contractmanager bevorder je contract awareness binnen het bedrijf en implementeer je best practices in samenwerking met collega’s van andere afdelingen en teams. Bij alles wat je doet haal jij het beste uit jezelf. Dus ook bij het:

  • het ondersteunen vanuit juridische oogpunt bij het afsluiten van contracten met betrekking tot het gesloten distributienet dat Equans in beheer heeft
  • signaleren van kansen en mogelijkheden welke contracten bieden in de tenderfase
  • analyseren en beoordelen van af te sluiten contracten op potentiële en commerciële risico’s, vervolgens breng je hiervan het advies uit richting het tenderteam en de directie van Equans Infra & Energie
  • ondersteunen van het tenderteam en de directie van Equans Infra & Energie tijdens onderhandelingen met opdrachtgevers. Je geeft je advies over contractuele condities, het voorkomen en beperken van risico’s en aansprakelijkheid en de gewenste vorm en inhoud van de af te sluiten contracten
  • ondersteunen van de projectteams in de realisatiefase op juridisch en commercieel gebied

Jouw werkomgeving

In Nederland werken we samen met 5.500 collega’s vanuit 29 locaties.

Jij komt te werken binnen Equans Infra & Energie voor de business unit Duurzame Energie & Netten. Een snel groeiend en zelfstandig bedrijf binnen de Equans Nederland groep. Jij bent juridisch verantwoordelijk voor alle  projecten binnen deze business unit in Nederland. In deze functie wordt jouw standplaats  Zaandam, Je rapporteert aan de Deputy General Counsel van Equans Nederland en functioneel aan de finance manager van Infra & Energie. Je maakt onderdeel uit van een landelijk team bedrijfsjuristen en juridisch contractmanagers van Equans Nederland.

Senior Inspecteur Legionella


Waar kom je terecht?

Je gaat aan de slag bij de afdeling Technical Inspections & Solutions (TIS), een dynamische afdeling met een informele en prettige werksfeer. TIS ontzorgt volledig op het gebied van inspecties en keuringen van technische installaties volgens wet- en regelgeving en normtechnische vereisten. De afdeling groeit snel en streeft ernaar de grootste inspectiedienst van Nederland te worden.

Jouw rol als Inspecteur

Als Senior inspecteur voer je legionella inspecties uit bij diverse opdrachtgevers. Daarnaast adviseer je klanten over wettelijke regelgeving, waterveiligheid en kostenbesparing.

Wat ga je doen?

  • beoordelen van de volledige waterinstallaties
  • schriftelijk vastleggen van procedures voor ter voorkoming van legionella
  • egelmatig overleg voeren met opdrachtgevers en technisch advies geven
  • uitvoeren van inspecties BRL-6010 bij opdrachtgevers waar je niet als installatieverantwoordelijke bent aangesteld
  • verzamelen en beheren van volledige keuringsregistratie en ondersteunen van monteurs op het gebied van (internationaal) geldende kwaliteits- en veiligheidsnormen

Wat breng je mee?

Je bent goed op de hoogte van de geldende regels en normen en wordt regelmatig gevraagd om elektrotechnisch advies. Je bent deskundig en klantgericht en kunt onderbouwde, (elektro)technische adviezen geven.

Daarnaast heb je:

  • minimaal een afgeronde MBO 3 of 4 opleiding in de techniek
  • ongeveer 3 tot 5 jaar werkervaring als inspecteur of servicetechnicus
  • een BLR-6010-diploma of een diploma installatieverantwoordelijke (of bereidheid om dit op korte termijn te behalen)
  • VCA certificaat, of bereid deze te halen
  • ervaring met het overbrengen van jouw expertise op anderen
  • het vermogen om snel te schakelen en stressbestendig te zijn

Wij vinden het belangrijk dat je jezelf wilt blijven ontwikkelen. Binnen onze afdeling ben je nooit uitgeleerd en stimuleren wij doorgroei- en ontwikkelingsmogelijkheden.

Je komt op diverse locaties terecht, of indien gewenst op een vaste locatie. De ene dag sta je in een mayofabriek, de andere dag tussen de tanks en gevechtsvoertuigen van Defensie.
