Equans is looking for a Part Time Food Service Assistant to join our team in Hinkley Point B, Bridgwater, Somerset. TA5 1UD on a permanent basis. This is a part time role working 35 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £18,569.26 per annum( School term time only ) and benefits package.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday  07:00 to 14:30 

What will you deliver?

As the Food Service Assistant you will serve food and beverages to customers following prescribed methods of portioning, presentation, and combinations in line with brand standards and answer questions about the products. Perform basic cold food preparation and made to order services including hot deli and live action in line with  Catering standards.

Catering Supervisor


Equans is recruiting for a Catering Supervisor to join our team in the Cleveland & Durham Police Tactical Training Centre, Urlay Nook Stockton on Tees, TS16 0QB. This is a full time, permanent role working 40 hours per week. On offer is salary of £25,606.00 - £26,886.38  per annum depending upon experience and benefits package.

Shift Pattern: 

Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm with 30 in lunch break

This role includes a DS Basic check therefore ability to pass is essential

What will you deliver?

  • This role is site based at Cleveland and Durham Police, Tactical Training Centre. to oversee running of canteen facility including the preparation and cooking of food and beverages, ordering of all food and non-food items for service provision; to be particularly responsible for strict personal hygiene and the hygiene of Staff ensuring compliance with work performance governing environmental health regulation, menu, and stock control. Ensure efficient and friendly service, and there is always effective communication with the Account Manager.

Learning & Development Coordinator


Equans is looking for a Learning & Development Coordinator to join our team based in Oldham a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package. 

You will be responsible for supporting the L&D team, ensuring the efficient booking of courses and allocation of trainers are undertaken, aligned to the training matrix and KPI’s. Take ownership of regional contracts to ensure the training targets are achieved, liaising with internal and external stakeholders across all levels. 

You  will be managing and collating financial and performance data aligned to the regional training function, alongside the development and management of reports on a regular basis. 

 

What will you deliver? 

  • Management of diaries for the internal trainers.
  • Management of in-house booking system.
  • Assisting with the allocation of rooms.
  • Obtaining approval from Line Managers/Senior Leadership Team.
  • Contacting delegates for courses.
  • Ensure stock levels of training material and equipment are adequate for the purpose.
  • Copying and collating of course materials.
  • Follow all virtual course booking process and procedures.
  • Release / coordinate all relevant e-learning modules.
  • Manage all aspects of CSCS, ECS and JIB cards including revision materials.
  • Monitor expiry dates and arrange training where necessary.
  • Support teams to identify and schedule training (technical/soft skills/safety) for their contracts.
  • Management of on-site training bookings.
  • Allocation of trainers on site where required.
  • Identification of available courses and providers.
  • Advising staff on relevant courses, linking with L&D team for advice.
  • Booking external courses.
  • Maintain accurate records of training programs, certifications, and employee development plans.
  • Assist in onboarding and induction programs for new hires.
  • Liaising with Accounts regarding payments.
  • Attend internal and external meetings in relation to training coordination.
  • Manage the CITB grant claim process for short duration courses.
  • Use various company systems for the booking, payment, and logging of training.
  • Work with external providers to ensure standards of training are maintained at a high level, monitor delegate feedback and success rates.
  • Management of financial reports and payments for training.

Site Manager


Equans is looking for a Site Manager to join our team in Wisbech. This is a full-time role. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle, bonus and benefits package.

To undertake the day to day management of construction activities of a designated project in order to maximise the company’s profitability and client satisfaction whilst ensuring programme, Health and Safety and Quality Control are upheld to the highest of standards at all times.

What will you deliver?

  • To assist the Contracts Manager with pre-start details and attend pre-start meetings with the client as necessary to ensure smooth site set up and full knowledge of the project to manage it through to completion.
  • To issue monthly site progress reports to the Contracts Manager and client to monitor progress against the programme schedule.
  • Ensuring all site attendees (direct employees and subcontractors) work in line with Health & Safety procedures / initiatives, including;
    • Use of PPE
    • Inductions onto the site (covering emergency exits and procedures)
    • Management of Method Statements / Risk Assessments, ensuring these are adhered to and identifying where improvements can be made
    • Work Permits for all areas of the project (i.e. hot works, scaffolding, etc)
    • Scaffold/Lifting equipment inspections as necessary and ensuring all personnel are qualified to use / erect the equipment
    • In house audits, inspections for SHEQ and management reporting
    • Ensure a neat and tidy site to reduce fire risk and keeping escape routes clear
    • Preparation and maintenance of Health and Safety files and documents to ensure all risks areas are identified and monitored through the project lifecycle
  • Adherence to the Company quality standards including:
    • Management of defects in line with KPIs
    • Compliance with specification as determined by the client / business, notifying all parties of any need to move away from the programme
    • Compliance with materials / workmanship schedules and ensuring all are qualified to do the work they are employed to do
  • To manage, coach and develop your team effectively in order to deliver the highest standards of service and maximise individual/team potential (including PDRs, disciplinaries, absence reviews, etc)
  • Managing subcontractors, issuing NCRs where appropriate to ensure contractors are working effectively and in line with Engie standards and procedures.
  • Liaison with individuals at all levels of the contract, including; Contracts Manager, the Clients Project Managers, relevant consultants, contract administrator, head office, etc. to enable the flow of information between all parties ensuring timely project delivery and high standards of work.
  • Develop effective working relationships with client representatives (i.e. the housing department) and RLOs to ensure consistency of information and approach, keeping tenants fully informed with regard to the programme.
  • Manage all complaints in line with our complaint’s procedure in unison with the RLO team and the client
  • To be responsible for the opening and closing of the site facilities each day, ensuring all individuals sign in and are aware of the day’s duties / H&S risks.
  • Management of site facilities; welfare, toilets, offices, compound area, etc.
  • To be aware of possible commercial opportunities and liaise with senior management / QS teams as appropriate
  • Co-ordinate the Sub-Contractors as appropriate in line with the programme schedule to ensure deadlines are met
  • Material take offs and co-ordination to ensure timely and smooth running of the project
  • To be responsible for the accurate and timely completion of site-based documentation (i.e. H&S certs, client reports, etc)
  • Attend internal and external project and Company related meetings as appropriate
  • Carry out work inspections and checks on the running of the project to ensure it is in line with the programme schedule and any delays are reported and rectified immediately where possible
  • To liaise with all staff, clients, consultants and residents in a professional manner to build client relationships helping future business development
  • Any other reasonable management request

Dayshift Electrician


Equans is looking for a Dayshift Electrician to join our team at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh Hospital on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary banding of £35,121 - £37,500 per annum depending on skills and experience. In addition you will receive an excellent benefits package. 

What will you deliver?

  • Working directly to the Electrical Supervisor, the post holder will have the required skills to ensure the safe and continuous operation of mechanical, electrical engineering services and building plant as part of a flexible maintenance team, including specialist subcontractors to deliver work to the highest of standards for our clients.
  • The main responsibilities include efficiently and effectively performing electrical maintenance of all relevant assets. Work will be assigned from a planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule or in response to a reactive work order raised by our client representatives or our own personnel on site. All planned and reactive tasks will be managed through to completion, including fault diagnosis and sourcing parts where applicable. Must be able to demonstrate that awareness of best working practices and that these are always followed. Additional duties to include, working and managing backlog works, assisting when required for specialist projects.
  • Working as part of a wider M&E team, there may be a requirement to undertake other tasks that may not be specifically related to electrical systems.

Who are we looking for?

  • Must have successfully completed a recognised electrical apprenticeship and have a proven experience in a similar role carrying out electrical maintenance duties.
  • Hospital maintenance experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Be competent to undertake/assist work on the type of building service systems and equipment for which the appointment is sought.
  • Be familiar with the type of systems and equipment on which work is required to be undertaken.
  • Possess technical knowledge and sufficient experience to avoid any danger that may be presented by the work to be undertaken.
  • Have an adequate knowledge of and within the preceding three years have received training in first aid (including CPR Training). If not held, training will be given.
  • Desirable but not essential to have some knowledge of all the relevant Scottish Health Technical Memoranda (SHTM) and to work within Permit to Work procedures as appropriate SHTM 06 - 01, BSRIA, L8, pressure systems Regulations 2000, etc).

As a Bid Manager, you will play a critical role in helping us secure new contracts by producing compelling, high-quality bid submissions. As part of a multi-disciplinary bid team, you will be responsible for developing and writing content for tenders, proposals, and other bid-related documents, ensuring that our submissions meet client specifications and stand out in a competitive marketplace. 

About You

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in bid writing, ideally within the Housing or Construction sector.

  • Previous experience in a similar role of one or more of the following products planned and / or responsive maintenance and retrofit / sustainability

  •  Estudios técnicos en Electricidad y/o Electromecánica o afín.

 Conocimientos:

  • Conocimientos de conceptos de tendido y decapado cables remotos de control.

  • Conocimiento de conexionado transformadores de corriente.
  • Uso correcto de instrumentos de medida (Megger, Multimetro, secuenciómetro, etc.)
  • Conocimiento trabajos armarios en servicio.
  • Conocimiento tendido y conexionado cable de comunicaciones.
  • Conocimiento confección terminales de comunicaciones (RJ45-BNC 

Experiencia:

  • 2 años en obras de construcción eléctricas y/o electromecánicas.
