Equans Data Centers are seeking to appoint a Health & Safety Managers to support our growing Data Center in Newport.

What you will deliver? 

  • Promoting a safety-first culture in the business and ensure compliance to the company's Management System. Influence site management on best practice and compliance requirements
  • Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated
  • Carrying out Audits and report on the findings and recommendations to project team and chair the Site Health and Safety Committee meetings with the Project Director
  • Carrying out accident investigations and report back to project team leader and Health & Safety Lead
  • Carrying out Tool Box Talks regarding high risk activities
  • Liaise with supply chain regularly to ensure compliance to company policies and procedures
  • Identify hazards and record on the NOC system
  • Reviewing and providing feedback to RAMS and risk assessments
  • Conducting training, lead the Bsafe program, manging records and work proactively with managers and other key staff to establish and maintain a programme of continuous improvement in the management of Health and Safety
  • Keep up to date with all aspects of relevant health, safety & welfare at work legislation and communicate relevant changes to the business
  • Drive sub-contractor performance

  • A Health & Safety professional with strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively

  • Write weekly summaries of site conditions

  • Good with Excel and Pivot Tables
  • Previous construction experience

Fabric Engineer


Equans is looking for a Fabric Engineer to join our team at the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth. This is a full-time permanent role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary banding of £28,000 - £30,000 per annum dependent upon skills and experience. In addition you will also receive an excellent benefits package. 

What will you deliver? 

  • Support the Estates Management team in delivering 24-hour maintenance services.
  • Promote a culture of excellent customer service, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to address maintenance issues effectively.
  • Diagnose faults, repair, and maintain complex and specialised hospital equipment after suitable training.
  • Undertake a variety of building tasks, including carpentry, painting, fitting ironmongery, and flooring.
  • Actively participate in the Fabric Team on-call rota to ensure timely response to maintenance needs.
  • Work in challenging environments, including unblocking drains and sewers, which may involve exposure to biological hazards and noxious fumes.
  • Liaise with the Stores Team for requisition, supply, and security of materials.
  • Monitor and check the work of contractors to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Observe all relevant statutory requirements, particularly relating to the Health & Safety at Work Act, COSHH regulations, and Electrical IEE regulations.
  • Carry out work across multiple trades where necessary and within the scope of competence.
  • Carry a radio or pager to facilitate immediate response to urgent tasks.

Training Coordinator


Equans is looking for a Learning and Development Coordinator to join our team in Hatfield. This is a 12 month maternity cover working full-time. On offer is a competitive salary, and benefits package.

Responsible for supporting the L&D team, ensuring the efficient booking of courses and allocation of trainers are undertaken, aligned to the training matrix and KPI’s. Take ownership of regional contracts to ensure the training targets are achieved, liaising with internal and external stakeholders across all levels.

Managing and collating financial and performance data aligned to the regional training function, alongside the development and management of reports on a regular basis.

 

What will you deliver?

  • Management of diaries for the internal trainers
  • Management of in-house booking system
  • Assisting with the allocation of rooms
  • Obtaining approval from Line Managers/Senior Leadership Team
  • Contacting delegates for courses
  • Ensure stock levels of training material and equipment are adequate for the purpose
  • Copying and collating of course materials
  • Follow all virtual course booking process and procedures
  • Release / coordinate all relevant e-learning modules
  • Manage all aspects of CSCS, ECS and JIB cards including revision materials
  • Monitor expiry dates and arrange training where necessary
  • Support teams to identify and schedule training (technical/soft skills/safety) for their contracts
  • Management of on-site training bookings
  • Allocation of trainers on site where required
  • Identification of available courses and providers
  • Advising staff on relevant courses, linking with L&D team for advice
  • Booking external courses
  • Liaising with Accounts regarding payments
  • Attend internal and external meetings in relation to training coordination
  • Manage the CITB grant claim process for short duration courses
  • Use various company systems for the booking, payment, and logging of training
  • Work with external providers to ensure standards of training are maintained at a high level, monitor delegate feedback and success rates.
  • Management of financial reports and payments for training.

Site Manager


Equans is looking for a Site Manager to join our team in  Prescot school, Knowsley park Lane, l34 3NB on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

Shift patterns will vary based on a 40-hour rotational system, between 0800 - 1630 Monday to Friday 

What will you deliver?

  • Undertaking general caretaking duties, which include but are not limited to porter services (i.e. deliveries, exam set-ups); general maintenance (changing lamps, replacement ceiling tiles); carrying out of Planned Maintenance activities (Legionnaires checks, door condition checks, light switch checks etc) working in all weathers.
  • Ensure SLA’s and KPi’s within the contract are delivered and met.
  • Carry out opening / closing of the building.
  • Regular support to the school to enable its ability to deliver the teaching curriculum. As well as communication with school representatives.
  • Undertaking and recording statutory and mandatory planned maintenance duties.
  • Logging of reactive maintenance tasks on the Helpdesk, utilising CAFM system to provide updates on work orders.
  • Proactively carrying out a daily regime of ‘find it fix it’ or report it to the helpdesk and ensure it is followed up and fixed within our service level agreement.
  • As part of the compliance to statutory duties the individual will undertake and record the testing of such systems as emergency lighting and fire alarm tests.
  • You will be required to use a computer, mobile phone and technical equipment so previous experience will be a distinct advantage.
  • Carry out sub-contractor inductions and maintain register of inductions, DBS and RAMS
  • Provide supervision/management of subcontractors whilst working on site
  • Participate in emergency call outs
  • Carry out any other duties that may be applicable to the position of a Caretaker.

Part Time Morning Cleaner


Equans is looking for a Part time Morning Cleaner to join our team in Central Payments Administration Offices, OX25 4AL on a permanent basis working 10 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £12.21 per hour and benefits package.

Shift Pattern:

Monday - Friday 9.00AM - 11.00AM 

What will you deliver?

As the on-site Cleaner, you’ll keep the building clean and tidy to the highest standard of hygiene, health and safety whilst maintaining a professional manner with all members of staff and general public. 

For this role you must undergo BPSS level vetting. Part of this includes DBS clearance therefore ability to pass is essential.

BPSS Quick Guide

In order to meet our customers requirements, the post holder must go through Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). This is a form of Security Clearance set out by the Government which goes through several checks.

These checks typically include:

  • Identity Verification: Passport, photo ID, birth certificate, etc.
  • Employment History (past 3 years): Any gaps will require HMRC statements for the period in question.
  • Right to Work Status in the UK: Citizenship or valid share code.
  • Unspent Criminal Record: Disclosure of any unspent convictions.
  • Significant Periods Abroad: Any periods of 6+ months spent abroad in the past 3 years.

CCTV Control Room Operator


Equans is looking for a Security ARC Operator  to join our team in National Operations Centre Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire ST4 1AY on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 42 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £26,280.07 per annually and benefits package.

Shift Pattern: 24/7 shift pattern - 4 days 0700-1900, 4 off, 4 nights 1900-0700, 4 off 

What will you deliver?

Managing site alarm activations, including CCTV verification and to facilitate appropriate escalation.  When required, respond appropriately to requests through the Facilities Management Helpdesk and QSE Incident Reporting Hotline.

Who are we looking for?

  • Previous experience within a Control Room, Service Desk or other high call volume environment or experience of working within a customer focused environment.
  • Maths and English GCSE Grade C and above
  • An excellent working knowledge of IT. Must have experience with the Microsoft Office 365 package including MS Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Excel & Word. 
  • Experience of contributing to incident management /command and control operations.
  • Previous security or service desk experience and experience / training in fire safety and first aid.
  • Previous CCTV & access control knowledge. An understanding of CCTV operations and equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills, including high standards of written and spoken English. Ability to maintain accurate incident logs and gather evidential information

Servicespecialist Koudetechniek


Wanneer er een storing optreedt in één van de koel- en vriesinstallaties en het invries/koelproces loopt gevaar ben jij als servicespecialist snel ter plaatse om het probleem op te lossen. Met jouw specialistische kennis ben jij de meest complexe storingen snel de baas en help jij de klant weer aan een goedwerkende installatie.

Dit ga je doen als Servicespecialist Koudetechniek

Jij bent verantwoordelijk voor de service- en onderhoudswerkzaamheden aan grootschalige industriële koel- en vriesinstallaties. Dit doe jij in de omgeving van Roosendaal, Breda, Etten-Leur, Bergen op Zoom. Dit doe jij natuurlijk niet alleen, samen met een team van ruim 40 collega’s werken jullie in het regiogebied. Als collega ben jij het visitekaartje van Equans en wil jij de klant voorzien van geweldige service. Dus ook bij het:

  • inbedrijfstellen van complexe industriële koelinstallaties
  • uitvoeren van onderhouds-, modificatie-, inspectie- en revisiewerkzaamheden zoals afgesproken met de klant
  • adviseren van de klant en eventuele commerciële kansen herkennen
  • opstellen van onderhoudsrapportages, adviseren en rapporteren van inspecties
  • assisteren en ondersteunen bij de implementatie van onderhoudsplannen en onderhoudsconcepten

Je hebt dagelijks contact met de planner over de ingeplande werkzaamheden. Jouw expertise deel je met je collega servicemonteurs en servicetechnici, samen zorgen jullie voor goed werkende koel- en/of warmte installaties in de regio. Om de 5-6 weken heb je een week lang storingsdienst of sta je stand-by als achterwacht van een collega. Het team rapporteert aan de regio serviceleider Wilfried, je vindt hem regelmatig op de vestiging Zoetermeer of Roosendaal. Wilfried is erg betrokken bij het team en vindt saamhorigheid binnen zijn team erg belangrijk. Daarnaast heeft hij veel technische kennis op het gebied van koudetechniek en is hij altijd bereid zijn kennis te delen.

Chefmonteur Koeltechniek


Krijg jij energie van het bouwen en coördineren van koeltechnische projecten om te zorgen dat deze succesvol worden afgerond? Equans, onderdeel van Refrigeration, is op zoek naar een Chefmonteur koudetechniek voor de regio West-Nederland.

Jouw rol als Chefmonteur
Als Chefmonteur zorg je ervoor dat de dagelijkse werkzaamheden van het lopende project naar behoren worden uitgevoerd met een zo optimaal mogelijke bezetting. Installaties binnen de industriële koudetechniek hebben voor jou geen geheimen aangezien je beschikt over meerdere jaren relevante werkervaring binnen het vakgebied koudetechniek. Doordat je vaak buiten bij de projecten bent, weet je als geen ander hoe belangrijk de veiligheid van jezelf en anderen is.

Wat ga je doen

  • dagelijkse uitvoering: Je zorgt ervoor dat het project volgens de werkinstructies wordt uitgevoerd en op tijd en binnen budget wordt opgeleverd. Je geeft leiding aan een team van 5-20 medewerkers en werkt indien nodig mee als 1e Monteur Koudetechniek
  • teambeheer: Je zorgt voor een gemotiveerd en optimaal functionerend team. Je instrueert, controleert, motiveert en coacht je teamleden om de projectdoelen te bereiken
  • beheer en kostenbewaking: Je houdt wijzigingen en projectkosten nauwkeurig bij, communiceert deze effectief en overlegt met interne afdelingen om ervoor te zorgen dat alles volgens plan verloopt
  • projectvoorbereiding: Samen met de projectleider zorg je voor een gedegen voorbereiding van het project. Dit omvat de organisatie, werkmethoden, planning en inzet van mensen en middelen, zodat de uitvoering veilig, effectief en efficiënt is
  • contacten onderhouden: Je onderhoudt goede relaties met opdrachtgevers, onderaannemers en andere betrokkenen om een vlotte en soepele afronding van het project te garanderen

Werkvoorbereider Elektrotechniek

Dit ga je doen als werkvoorbereider elektrotechniek
Voor onze opdrachtgever, het Rijksvastgoedbedrijf, onderhouden we alles op het gebied van laagspanning. Van schakelkasten en gebouwinstallaties tot noodstroomaggregaten en noodverlichting. Als werkvoorbereider elektrotechniek verzorg je de complete voorbereiding van de projecten voor het RVB contract. Denk hierbij aan modificaties, service, beheer en onderhoud.

Jij bent diegene die ervoor zorgt dat projecten ook werkelijk gerealiseerd worden. Van aanvraag tot oplevering ben jij in staat om deze projecten op een gedegen manier te leiden. Je bewaakt de voortgang van zeer uitdagende projecten op commercieel, technisch, financieel en administratief vlak en brengt verslag uit over de voortgang van het project.

Jouw werk(omgeving)
Equans helpt klanten in het realiseren en versnellen van de 3 grote transities: de energie –, digitale en industriële transitie. We zijn wereldleider in de technische dienstverlening en maken onderdeel uit van de internationale en beursgenoteerde Bouygues groep. In Nederland werken we samen met 6.000 collega’s vanuit 29 locaties. Samen zijn wij Equans.

In regio Zuid-Nederland ben je verantwoordelijk voor het voorbereiden van de projecten voor onder andere Vliegbasis Volkel, Vliegbasis Gilze-Rijen, Vliegbasis Eindhoven, Vliegbasis Woensdrecht, Generaal Majoor De Ruyter van Steveninckkazerne in Oirschot en/of de Luitenant-Generaal Bestkazerne in Vredepeel. Jij bent verantwoordelijk voor het op tijd en juiste wijze verzorgen van materiaal en materieel, vraagt offertes aan bij toeleveranciers, houdt de projectadministratie bij, stelt planningen op en bewaakt de kwaliteit en de kosten van uiteenlopende projecten. Je werkt intensief samen met andere disciplines en coördineert de werkzaamheden samen met je team. Hoe complex het project ook is, als werkvoorbereider ben jij de adviseur voor klanten, leveranciers en collega’s.

Om de rol van werkvoorbereider elektrotechniek bij Equans te kunnen vervullen, vragen wij wel het een en ander van jou: 

  • Je beschikt over Mbo niveau 4 werk -en denkniveau
  • Werkervaring als werkvoorbereider of planner in een technische werkomgeving
  • Sterke organisatorische kwaliteiten en goed in het plannen van werkzaamheden
  • Communicatief vaardig, gestructureerd, gedisciplineerd en je hebt de ambitie om je verder te ontwikkelen in het vakgebied
  • Affiniteit met Installatietechniek of Elektrotechniek
