Semi Skilled Operative M&E

Equans is looking for a Semi Skilled Operative (M&E) to be based at the Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth. This is a permanent, full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week, based on a shift pattern that includes days, evenings and weekends. On offer is a salary banding of £27,000 - £28,000 per annum, dependent upon skills and experience, a fixed monthly unsocial allowance and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

Support the Estates Management in the provision of a 24hr maintenance Service within the Portsmouth Hospital Trust for the service provider
Promote a culture of customer service to both internal and external customers and partners and to liaise with other departments regarding maintenance issues if required
Undertake any other reasonable tasks and duties relevant to the post
After suitable training and guidance diagnose faults, repair and maintain complex equipment in accordance with Health Technical Memorandum (HTM’s) and other specialised hospital equipment
Carry out the work of other trades where there is an interface to the work in hand with a level of competence that’s outside core trade
Carry a radio or pager to facilitate immediate response
Work in highly unpleasant working conditions, unblocking drains and sewers, which include biological hazards of body fluids and noxious fumes
Carry out replacement of lamps and cleaning of all types of light fittings
Carry out cleaning, labouring and driving tasks associated with Estates maintenance as instructed
Observe statutory and other relevant requirements at all times in particular those relating to the Health & Safety at Work Act, COSHH regulations and Electrical IEE regulations

Key Responsibilities:

Finance Business Partner

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join our team working flexibly under a hybrid model both in the office and at home. The role can be based in our Welwyn office but we are happy to consider other base locations – London, Cambridge, Kent, Birmingham and Manchester. The role will involve travel to various sites when required.

Key activities

Will be responsible for monthly project(s) financial results including the identification and production of variance analysis against the relevant forecasts, via detailed understanding of project expenditure, risks and opportunities
Ensure accounting in line with Equans policies and IFRS standards
Will be responsible for the production and analysis of key performance indicators based on all business areas
Notify managers of trends and work with them on options/ways to achieve company targets
Budgetary control. Support project sites (Project Manager, Operational Excellence, Quantity Surveyors, etc) to keep the project cost model and local risk register up to date
Review the model (integrity + reconciliation with SAP) and constructively challenge forecast assumptions
Key participant in project point reviews
Provide forecasting, leading with input from relevant budget holders, the preparation of budgets forecasts, using a clear and driver-based approach
Act as a business partner to ensure early identification of risks with successful mitigations
Conduct finance reviews at project sites to support adherence to company procedures (i.e., stock, goods receipts) and conduct general and financial audits where relevant
Review and drive the contract for general auditing of financial and non-financial obligations as well as for responding to operational queries
Produce year end the statutory audit justification as required

Skills & qualification

CIMA/ACCA part/fully qualified. Degree in relevant field preferred
Construction/infrastructure background
Line management experience
Able and willing to travel to site when required
Financial diligence and attention to detail - Ability to be timely and accurate in the presentation of financial information in a pressured environment

What will you deliver?

To be accountable for the financial performance of the contracts
To ensure personnel manage the contract to the Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
To ensure that all risks relating to safety, health, environment and quality are effectively managed through the use of risk assessments, PPE, training and company procedures to ensure a safe working environment for both employees and clients
To operate a Permit to Work System in accordance with Equans Technical and SHEQ processes and client requirements (or approved client system)
To review monthly audit checks demonstrating legislative compliance within scope of service delivery streams and to escalate to the portfolio director as necessary
To ensure compliance with all statutory and company procedures across the stakeholder groups
To ensure all PPM and reactive tasks are carried out in accordance with the maintenance specification and documented in real time using the CAFM system
To ensure cleaning team always meets Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) cleaning standards
To be on call as part of the management team
To maintain commercial understanding of the client contractual deliverables across all services
To work with operational management to develop performance measurement and improvement objectives in line with business plan through positive collaboration
To drive successful contract negotiations and business improvement initiatives
To attend and deliver monthly contract performance meetings with the customer and demonstrate agreed actions have been undertaken satisfactory
To drive profit improvement through both sales generation and cost saving initiatives in a collaborative manner with the operations teams

Als Engineer HVAC bij Equans in Roden ben je medeverantwoordelijk voor de engineering van uiteenlopende projecten in de regio Noord. Je ontwerpt niet alleen reguliere HVAC-installaties, maar ook klant-specifieke oplossingen. Als Tekenaar Utiliteit ben jij een belangrijke schakel in ons engineering- en projectteam. Je zorgt ervoor dat de technische ontwerpen nauwkeurig en volgens afspraak op papier (of digitaal) komen te staan. Of het nu gaat om de verbouwing van een kantoorgebouw of de nieuwbouw van een ziekenhuis – dankzij jouw tekeningen kan de uitvoering vlekkeloos aan de slag.

Je kunt hierbij denken aan de volgende resultaatgebieden:

systematisch ordenen van projectdocumenten en tekeningen in een (elektronisch) archief, zodat deze voor iedereen toegankelijk zijn

Dit ga je doen als (jr) projectleider building automation
Als (jr) projectleider building automation ben je verantwoordelijk voor het eindresultaat van ieder project. Je begeleidt de realisatie van de gebouwautomatisering- en meet & regelsystemen voor zowel utilitaire projecten als projecten in de high end industrie.

Daarnaast onderhoudt je contacten met opdrachtgevers, leveranciers, onderaannemers, evt. collega-aannemers en derden. Ook zal er van jou gevraagd worden om potentiële nieuwe opdrachten te signaleren, zodanig dat een bijdrage wordt geleverd aan de verwerving van nieuwe opdrachten binnen onze afdeling Projecten.

Bij alles wat je doet haal jij het beste uit jezelf. Dus, naast bovenstaande, ook bij:

het opstellen van een werkplanning met inachtneming van de relevante randvoorwaarden (prioriteiten, capaciteit, kosten, tijdsbestek, effectiviteit, efficiency, veiligheid etc). Dit ga je doen als Ontwerpleider
Als Ontwerpleider ben je verantwoordelijk voor het coördineren van het ontwerpproces, zodat het ontwerp voldoet aan de eisen van de opdrachtgever. Je verzamelt zorgvuldig informatie over randvoorwaarden, uitgangspunten en geldende voorschriften en zorgt voor een optimale afstemming tussen deze eisen, technische mogelijkheden, planning en budget. Je leidt een team van engineers en modelleurs, bespreekt het ontwerp met de opdrachtgever en andere belanghebbenden en bewaakt de voortgang en kosten. Je streeft naar kwaliteit en financiële beheersing.

Verder bestaan je werkzaamheden uit het:

leiden van een team van engineers en modelleurs
bespreken van het ontwerp met de opdrachtgever en andere belanghebbenden en goedkeuring geven voor het definitieve ontwerp
bewaken van de voortgang van de ontwerpwerkzaamheden, inclusief benodigde berekeningen
opstellen en controleren van kostenramingen, bestekken en verwervingsbegrotingen
streven naar een hoogwaardig ontwerp en beheersen van financiële aspecten

Jouw werkomgeving
Je komt als Ontwerpleider terecht in een enthousiaste club engineers welke bezig zijn met diverse uitdagende projecten die verschillend in grootte zijn maar altijd veel diepgang op het gebied van techniek bevatten. Dit ga je doen als Eerste Monteur Elektrotechniek
Als eerste Monteur Elektrotechniek Utiliteit (in dagdienst) bij Equans ben je verantwoordelijk voor het zelfstandig installeren of onderhouden van gedeelten van elektrotechnische installaties, panelen en besturingskasten. Deze werkzaamheden voer je uit conform relevante normen en richtlijnen alsmede specifieke eisen van de klant. Uiteraard is het van belang dat de werkzaamheden binnen de gestelde tijd en conform werktekeningen, specificaties en (veiligheids-)voorschriften en KAM-procedures worden uitgevoerd.

Je belangrijkste taken en verantwoordelijkheden:

je verzorgt de installatie en montage van elektrotechnische installaties
je verzorgt de inzet en begeleiding van monteurs
je verzorgt de inzet en gebruik van materiaal en gereedschap

Onze afdeling Services bestaat uit het Klussenteam (KSW) en het Onderhoud & Services team (OBS). Waar het Onderhoud & Services team zich focust op het uitvoeren van preventief- en correctief onderhoud middels de onderhoudscontracten, focust het Klussenteam zich op kleinschalig project werk bij onze klanten voortkomend uit de onderhoudscontracten. Voor dit Klussenteam zijn wij nu op zoek naar uitbreiding.

Dit breng je mee
Als Eerste Monteur Elektrotechniek ben je technisch natuurlijk goed onderlegd. Je kunt zelfstandig werken maar ook in teamverband. Jij bent het type dat het beste uit zichzelf en anderen kan halen als de druk wat hoger ligt. Je overziet waar de prioriteit ligt en behoud de rust die nodig is om kwalitatief hoogstaand werk af te leveren. Voldoe je ook nog eens over het onderstaande dan is dat helemaal mooi meegenomen.

je hebt een elektrotechnische MBO 3-opleiding Elektrotechniek
