Sub Contractor Manager


Equans is looking for a Sub-contractor Manager to join our team in West Kilbride on a 12 month FTC basis. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

The role holder will coordinate subcontractor activities on site. By setting and maintaining a high standard of SHEQ compliance from all subcontractors who operate on behalf of Equans at Hunterston B Power Station 

What will you deliver?

  • Manage Equans SMOC process and ensure any subcontractors working on site are fully approved on SMOC with relevant SMOC documentation in place.
  • Conduct subcontractor inaugural meetings with subcontractors before work can commence. (Every annual)
  • Oversee / manager any subcontractor supervisors/field supervisors, ensuring supervision is meeting expectations. (Suitable setting to work, pre job brief, spot checks etc)
  • Meet/greet subcontractors working on behalf of Equans on day of work.
  • Update subcontractor manager board
  • Conduct a robust setting to work and pre job brief with subcontractors working for Equans. (Where required)
  • Review subcontractor RAMS prior to work and review on day of work with subcontractors ensuring subcontractors understand their RAMS/SSOW and sign off stating they understand and will follow their RAMS when working.
  • Ensure any high risk works subcontractors undertaken are approved to complete by local ISM, ensuring local ISM has reviewed and approved subcontractor RAMS prior to task commencing.
  • Supervise and oversee works in the field by completing regular spot checks on subcontractor working. (active supervision)
  • Liaise with operations manages/supervisors planning subcontractor works and build strong relationships with teams to support subcontractor works.
  • Review subcontractor performance on regular basis and feedback to operation managers and local ISM on any Health & Safety concerns/issues.
  • Core focal point for site overseeing contractor management on day-to-day basis.

Who are we looking for?

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or working towards completion within 6 months of the starting the role.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a compliance/Health and Safety/Subcontractor management role.  
  • Experience in managing subcontractors.
  • Display an ability to drive Health and Safety performance in subcontractors.
  • Ability to own and facilitate a safe subcontractor management system ensuring safety remains number one priority.
  • Experience in Health & Safety systems.
  • Communicate across all levels working within performance management systems
  • Effective and decisive organisational skills with experience in introducing new ideas and approaches
  • Understanding of a Technical requirements preferably with certification or a good knowledge and background of facility and domestic disciplines.

M&E Supervisor

Key activities: 

  • Supervise the M&E team to ensure all work is carried out to contract specification and client satisfaction 
  • To undertake PPM and reactive works ensuring that all jobs are completed in line with SLA’s, KPI’s and CPI’s
  • To ensure the speedy and correct allocation of work so that jobs are completed in accordance with the performance monitoring system
  • Assist with the planning and organising of work for both direct and contract labour to ensure cost and time targets are met including allocating and controlling overtime organising out-of-hours emergency works
  • Order materials and services, maintain records, control stock, provide engineers reports, etc
  • Assist with estimates, site measurements and cost control information; to identify chargeable works and ensure these are properly recorded 
  • Liaise with the client when required to resolve any issues
  • To organise and participate in the out of hours on-call rota
  • Working 40 hours per week, from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday

 Skills, qualifications & experience: 

  • Must hold a recognised electrical or mechanical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant electrical or mechanical discipline with suitable industry experience.
  • Must have supervisory experience and good people management skills (appraisals, training, recruitment, team briefings, )
  • Strong IT skills including Word, Excel and Outlook; any experience with Maximo an advantage
  • Proven track record of maintenance/hard services within Facilities Management
  • Strongly client focused, able to take ownership of projects/issues and resolve

Customer Service Representative

We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service Representative to join our Helpdesk team at Southmead Hospital in Bristol.  This is a full-time permanent position working 40 hours per week, 5 days from 7.  Shift times are 7.5 hours per day between 07:00 and 19:00.  Please note this role involves working one weekend in every three.

The role:

  • To provide a professional FM Helpdesk service
  • To receive calls and enter the details onto the CAFM system to enable the works to be completed
  • Contact relevant subcontractor and co-ordinate site visits
  • To support the planned maintenance programme by generating jobs and updating the system when work is complete
  • Raise Purchase Orders, invoicing, and other ad-hoc administration support to the department
  • Working 40 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day between 07:00 and 19:00, 5 days from 7 with a 30 minute unpaid break


The person:

  • Must have experience of providing excellent customer service ideally in a helpdesk environment
  • Knowledge of a CAFM system desirable – Maximo
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Able to work as part of a team and autonomously
  • Must have good IT skills (able to use email, management systems, databases)
  • Well organised and able to prioritise workload

Assistant Quantity Surveyor


EQUANS is looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our refurbishment team, this is a full time permanent role.  Our head office base is Hatfield however this role will be based at our Slough Site. We offer is a competitive salary and benefits package. 

This role is to work as part of our refurbishment team on social housing properties, you will be working on internal and external works. Our ideal candidate would have experience in CVRs, working with sub contractors and schedular rates.

What will you deliver? 

  • Management and control of subcontract orders, accounts and variation accounts in line with the main contract and sub-contract data base
  • Post-tender internal and external pricing analysis/assessment for sign-off whilst ensuring within budget
  • Conduct contract risk and opportunity assessment to identify these areas and plan for them accordingly to ensure pricing remains on budget without undermining Health and Safety.
  • Manage subcontractor and professional services selection for new schemes, ensure the chosen contractor has the appropriate order and information to carry out their work, and helping to prepare procurement schedules liaising with legal counsel as required regarding contractual information (collateral warranties, PCG’s, etc)
  • Completing a monthly cost / valuation report and cash flow for the designated projects.
  • Commercial reporting / CVRs completed independently to be submitted for MQS approval
  • Logical and auditable preparation of relevant documentation for valuation, procurement and commercial administration

Technical services supervisor


Equans is looking for a Technical Services Supervisor to join our team in Birmingham on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

The primary purpose of the role is to supervise and manage a team of static/mobile engineers, making sure that all PPM and Reactive Works are completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the contracted output specifications and EQUANS processes and procedures.

The position is to ensure that all required Building Engineering services as per the Engineering Building strategy is carried out. The position will require you to provide engineering support in emergency situations to ensure business and operational continuity.

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, the post holder will deliver of all specialist engineering services activities obligations under the Contract, Plan, deliver and review all aspects relating to the provision of specialist engineering services carried out by internal engineering staff and subcontractors, implement operational policies and procedures in line with our contractual obligations, ensure that all specialist equipment /stores are held in safe and secure manner.

What will you deliver?

  • To effectively manage a team of engineers carrying out all aspects of maintenance in accordance with KPIs/SLAs in a safe working manner
  • As a Technical Supervisor, provide timely support to maintain the highest standard of statutory compliance. Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements in accordance with the EQUANS Environmental Health & Safety policy, quality, sustainability and energy efficiency related standards, including Legionella Management
  • Ensure KPIs are achieved and reported on
  • Assist in producing all required documentation to ensure that any incidents are recorded and escalated as per the requirements of the contract
  • Act as a Appointed Person / Responsible Person for Technical Disciplines, as required
  • Manage the engineer’s data and job details in accordance with client and EQUANS requirements to ensure that the Computer Aided Facilities Management System (CAFM) is maintained to a current and accurate status to ensure the highest level of operational resilience and completion of works
  • Assist the Technical Services Manager in the first instance in the supervision of sub-contractors and specialist providers where required and liaise with all other parts of the Project Teams to support project activity. Manage and deliver Lifecycle projects
  • Participate in the 24/7 maintenance cover (including on call rota) of the Building Engineering Services during normal and emergency activities, assisting in the preparation of emergency and contingency plans. Participate in emergency plans and provide written reports as required
  • Identify and manage a Critical Spares strategy
  • Carry out sub-contractor audits and awareness
  • Manage and co-ordinate all statutory maintenance activities
  • Supporting specific area team members as required

EPM Controller


Equans is looking for an EPM Controller to join our team on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.

Provide a single, secure, accurate, timely & trusted source of actual & planned financial performance information for the entire Equans UK BU as a member of the Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) team. The core EPM solution is SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (SAP BPC).

The post holder will support the adoption of the group data platform, Palantir, to drive data driven analysis and machine learning efficiencies. Responsible for the complete, accurate & timely collation & reporting of the Equans UK BU, with turnover in excess of £2 billion, within the EPM solution.

The EPM Controller will need to work closely with other team members & 3rd party consultants to deliver the goals of the role and interaction with the Data Services Team to ensure data pipelines are robust & reliable. The EPM controller will liaise with Finance Business Partners from all divisions (to support 150+ solution users) and have regular contact with senior finance staff including Group Financial Controller, FP&A Director, FP&A Manager, Head of Financial Reporting, Divisional Finance Directors, and Financial Controllers.

What will you deliver?

  • Apply high-level problem-solving skills to critical, complex combined datasets, sourced from multiple ERP systems, with differing underlying principles and approaches
  • Apply rigorous analysis to support robust, logical decision making, when faced with complex issues & competing demands
  • Contribute to the design & development of innovative EPM solutions & processes, to increase functionality & continuously improve our solutions
  • Develop & maintain master & transaction data within the EPM solutions in accordance with Company standards, policies & timetables
  • Design & develop integrations with source systems to allow wider reporting and forecasting scope and high value-added solutions
  • Develop & deliver system-specific user training & provide user support
  • Develop new reports & dashboards to meet user requirements & maintain reports logged within the central reporting catalogue
  • Test system developments and changes, including the development of user acceptance testing where appropriate & manage the promotion of developments into the Production environment.
  • Produce documentation to support system administration procedures, including use of our agile development tools Jira and Confluence.

Who are we looking for?

  • A recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, etc)
  • Excellent advanced problem-solving skills to conceptualise & optimise multi-dimensional reporting solutions, which both minimise complexity & maximise utility & benefit for users
  • Highly proficient at applying rigorous analysis to support robust, logical decision making
  • Excellent communication skills required to understand requirements, discuss & resolve complex issues, & write & deliver effective, crisp training materials
  • An ability to work accurately & methodically while under pressure to meet critical reporting deadlines
  • As a qualified accountant, with a minimum of 10 years post qualification experience, you will consistently apply a rigorous approach to controls, fundamental to ensuring a reliable, trusted dataset is created and maintained
  • Highly proficient skill level with a specialised multi-dimensional enterprise performance reporting system. SAP BPC specific experience would be advantageous

  • Extensive experience of data preparation, cleansing, conversion, transformation & loading using Microsoft Power Query or Python

MISSIONS :

 

Sous la responsabilité du Directeur d’Agence et en étroite collaboration avec les Chargés d’affaires, vous assurez la coordination de nos chantiers allant de 20ME à 30M€.

Vos missions sont les suivantes :

- Superviser l'activité des différentes équipes (organisation et planification des besoins de main d'œuvre…)

- Organiser l'intervention des sous-traitants

- Veiller au bon approvisionnement des matériels, et au suivi des locations de matériels,

- Assister le bureau d'études pour les techniques de montage

- Vérifier l'avancement et la qualité des travaux selon les prévisionnels prévus au planning

De plus, vous êtes garant de la bonne application des règles de sécurité et du respect des normes de qualité environnementale du contrat.

Vos missions permettent aux Chargés d'affaires d'analyser les performances de leurs chantiers.

Poste basé à Bry-sur-Marne + déplacement en IDF. 

PROFIL : 

Issu d’une formation technique spécialisée dans le domaine du génie climatique, vous justifiez d’une expérience de 5 ans minimum en gestion de chantiers.

Vous maîtrisez impérativement les techniques de montage, la lecture des plans et les normes « métiers » en vigueur.

Vous êtes à l’écoute, reconnu pour votre charisme et vous aimez manager une équipe de terrain.

Vous êtes à l’aise avec les relations humaines et vous gérez les imprévus avec discernement et efficacité.
