Wij zoeken een gemotiveerde en ervaren Chauffeur ADR-7 om ons team in Dessel te versterken.

In deze functie ben je verantwoordelijk voor het veilig transporteren van gevaarlijke stoffen volgens de geldende wet- en regelgeving.

Jouw verantwoordelijkheden?

  • vervoeren van ADR-goederen naar verschillende locaties
  • zorgen voor de juiste laad- en losprocedures van gevaarlijke stoffen
  • controleren van de lading en documentatie voor vertrek
  • naleven van alle veiligheids- en milieuregels tijdens het transport
  • opstellen van rapportages van de transportactiviteiten
  • onderhouden van de vrachtwagen en tijdig melden van defecten

 

Wat heb je nodig?

  • geldig rijbewijs C/CE en ADR-7 certificaat
  • minimaal 2 jaar ervaring als chauffeur, bij voorkeur in het transport van gevaarlijke stoffen
  • goede kennis van de relevante wet- en regelgeving omtrent gevaarlijke goederen
  • je bent betrouwbaar, zelfstandig en kan veilig werken
  • je hebt goede communicatieve vaardigheden en bent klantgericht
  • goede kennis van het Nederlands en Frans zijn vereist; basiskennis van het Engels en/of Duits zijn een meerwaarde

Wij zoeken een gemotiveerde HR Officer om ons People Services team te versterken. In deze rol ben je een essentiële schakel in het ondersteunen van medewerkers, managers en HR business partners binnen alle facetten van de employee life cycle. Je bent actief in Brussel of Aartselaar.

Mobile Electrical Engineer


Equans is looking for a Mobile Electrical Engineer to join our HMCTS contract. Based from Lincoln working across sites in the surrounding area.This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £35,000 per annum and in addition you will receive an excellent benefits package.

What will you deliver?

  • Perform routine Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on electrical infrastructure and plant according to site schedules and CAFM systems.
  • Address and resolve reactive maintenance tasks, proactively identifying areas for improvement.
  • Swiftly remedy plant faults and defects to maintain equipment in operational order.
  • Maintain adequate stock of spares to support maintenance and reactive works.
  • Provide parts lists and estimated timescales for remedial work.
  • Complete all relevant documentation and ensure timely submission to the contract administrator.
  • Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks to uphold safe working practices.
  • Foster strong working relationships with Equans staff, subcontractors, and client representatives.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy working environment, adhering to PPE and uniform requirements.
  • Keep up-to-date plant logs and supervise subcontractor activities on-site.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Utilise and update the CAFM system (e.g., PlanOn) with accurate data for PPM and reactive tickets.
  • Operate the Permit to Work System in line with Equans' Technical and SHEQ processes.
  • Provide engineering support during emergencies to ensure operational continuity.
  • Obtain necessary Technical Appointments (e.g., LVCP/LVAP/HVAP) to issue permits to subcontractors and Equans staff.
  • Ensure maintenance, testing, and inspections comply with BS7671 standards.

Who are we looking for?

Essential

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or equivalent (e.g., City & Guilds Technical Certificate in Electrical).
  • 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.
  • Full Clean UK Driving License.
  • Ability to fault-find, diagnose, and rectify complex electrical faults independently.
  • Excellent knowledge of electrical systems, enabling the development of switching schedules and safety documentation before shutdowns.
  • Capability to plan and oversee electrical shutdowns for maintenance and testing.
  • Previous experience in a high-demanding maintenance engineering role. 
  • Due to the nature of the contract, successful post holder must be able to pass and maintain security vetting (BPSS / CTC)

  • IPAF Certification.

Part Time Morning Cleaner


Equans is looking for a Part time Morning Cleaner to join our team in Pendle Vale College, Oxford Rd, Nelson, BB9 8LF on a permanent basis working 5 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £11.44 per hour and benefits package.

Monday to Friday 07.30 am to 08.30 am

What will you deliver?

As the on-site Cleaner, you’ll keep the building clean and tidy to the highest standard of hygiene, health and safety whilst maintaining a professional manner with all members of staff and general public. 

For this role you must undergo BPSS level vetting. Part of this includes DBS clearance therefore ability to pass is essential.

Senior Civil Structural Design Engineer


Equans is a renowned energies & services contractor and a proud member of the Bouygues global industrial group. Our expertise spans the design, construction, and maintenance of buildings and critical infrastructure worldwide. We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Civil Structural Design Engineer interested in decarbonisation projects to join our Carbon Shift business unit.

Our Carbon Shift consulting business is focussed on the delivery of realisable climate action and net zero plans and is supported by delivery capability in heat decarbonisation, regeneration, Facilities Management, Project delivery, EV’s, smart buildings and renewables. Carbon Shift has developed a strong expertise and client base around net zero and energy transition and is now moving expand this offer into offering solutions to the broader climate adaptation and resilience challenge.

Key activities

This role will manage the civil and structural engineering and design development, working alongside a team of in-house specialist engineers with elements outsourced to subconsultants. Typical civil and structural work includes engineering buildings / structures and foundations, drainage systems, highways access, site temporary / permanent roadways, utilities / services distribution, solar superstructures etc.

The role will join an established Engineering Team, whose work spans a diverse range of innovative renewable energy generation and energy efficiency. This brings opportunities to gain experience in a rapidly growing market, working on pioneering low carbon schemes.

  • To lead the civil and structural design and engineering development of utility-scale renewable energy projects, from early concept through the construction phases. This will include the early design development, design calculations, coordination, interrogation, validation and optimisation of civil and structural design, liaison with specialist consultants and engineering teams to ensure coordination of design with concomitant designs and site constraints driven by other disciplines i.e. electrical / mechanical / public health design, ecology and soft landscaping, archaeology etc. 
  • To manage and maintain design technical compliance with Employer’s Requirements, statutory requirements and relevant design standards
  • To ‘project manage’ the civil and structural design process
  • To develop conceptual designs, design / performance specifications and outline scopes of work, to enable commissioning of detailed design, design & build contract specifications and specialist consultancy support. Liaise with procurement teams to provide technical advice in the appraisal and selection of supply-chains.
  • As and when required, progress to detailed / technical design and preparation of technical specifications for civil and structural design elements.
  • Lead the commissioning of insourced / outsourced design and specialist consultancy, through the preparation of technical briefs, design scopes and performance specifications. Liaise closely with design managers of other disciplines to ensure coordination and interfacing of design scopes.
  • To manage relevant statutory processes and coordinate preparation of relevant applications
  • Interrogate and optimise civil and structural designs. Identify cost efficiencies and undertake cost/benefit assessments on potential value-engineering opportunities.
  • Assist in the delivery of Construction Design & Management Principal Designer duties, including but not limited to the preparation of Pre-Construction Information, appraisal of Designer’s Risk Assessments, preparation of Hazard Assessments and identification / implementation of mitigations
  • Assist in the development of Commissioning Plans, Integrated Test Plans, Quality Acceptance Test Plans etc. Interrogate commissioning records and conduct quality inspections from time to time.
  • Liaise with clients to refine project briefs, project objectives, constraints and requirements, to aid in the development of engineering options. To present engineering proposals and business cases. It is expected that these activities will be supported by other members of the engineering team
  • Liaise with key manufacturers and suppliers to gain knowledge and expertise in technology capabilities and their prospective application to renewable energy developments. Undertake discrete assessments of cost benefit and compatibility with project-specific requirements.
  • Liaise with construction teams and contractors to assist in transition to implementation, programming and sequencing of works. Undertake site inspections to assure compliance with design and assist in design and technical matters arising on site.

Skills, qualifications & experience

  • An advanced level of understanding of civil and structural engineering and design
  • Good knowledge of British Standards, design guides and the Building Regulations
  • Aware of health and safety and CDM regulations.
  • Competent in standard industry design software, including AutoCAD, Tuflow, Microdrainage  
  • Experience in the use of standard industry design and project management tools, such as AutoDesk, View For Projects, Microsoft Project and Pro-Core
  • Competent in standard Microsoft Office products i.e. word, excel, outlook, teams etc.

Key activities

The Mechanical Design Engineer to support the development of renewable heat and thermal energy efficiency projects. This role will focus on the engineering and design development of commercial heat pump applications, HVAC systems improvements and controls, working alongside electrical energy engineers and analysts to deliver low-carbon retrofit solutions.  

  • To prepare mechanical design solutions for retrofit decarbonisation projects, new-build energy centres and heat networks, taking RIBA 1 concepts to RIBA 4 technical design
  • To prepare design models, utilising proprietary design software, such as AutoCAD, REVIT and Navisworks
  • To prepare thermal energy simulation models, utilising proprietary software, such as IES VE, Hysopt and EnergyPRO (note work toward etc.)
  • Prepare calculations and engineering analysis for the purpose of validating simulation models, confirming systems design requirements and performances
  • Work within a multidisciplinary design team, collaborating with electrical, structural / civil, architectural, energy and specialist designers to produce coordinated designs
  • Support market research to identify new and emerging technology / design innovations and assess suitability for application to projects
  • Support technical options appraisals to qualify / quantify best available techniques
  • Prepare design / functional specifications and contribute to tender scopes
  • Lead / contribute to Design Stage Reports and associated customer-facing documents
  • Undertake Designer Risk Assessments to identify and minimise health, safety and environmental risks associated with designs prepared
