Equans is looking for a Part time Morning Cleaner to join our team in Luton Crown Court, LU1 2AA, on a permanent basis working 15 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £11.79 per hour and benefits package.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 07:00am - 10:00am
What will you deliver?
As the on-site Cleaner, you’ll keep the building clean and tidy to the highest standard of hygiene, health and safety whilst maintaining a professional manner with all members of staff and general public.
For this role you must undergo BPSS level vetting. Part of this includes DBS clearance therefore ability to pass is essential.

Key Activities:
- Reporting to the Technical Services Manager
- To provide technical engineering support for the Hard FM Services department and carry out preventative maintenance to deadline plus maintain paperwork to support PPM activities
- To respond to reactive and emergency faults and conduct reactive maintenance work to ensure compliance with KPI’s
- To manage Contractors as necessary
- Working 40 hours per week from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday
Skills & Qualifications:
- Must hold a recognised electrical or mechanical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 2 (theory and practice) in a relevant electrical or mechanical discipline with suitable industry experience.
- Experience in building services is required
- Willingness to attain cross skilling and to undertake training and qualify as an AP as required
- IT Literate
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Demonstrate good planning, organising and prioritising skills
- Ability to show examples of using initiative and judgement to resolve problems
- Experience in a Healthcare environment is advantageous
- Must have a good understanding of health and safety best practice; formal training an advantage.

Grounds Operative

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Operative to join our Facilities Management team at North Middlesex University Hospital in Edmonton. This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day between 7am & 7pm, Monday to Friday.
The role:
- Reporting to the Grounds Supervisor.
- Maintain the hospital grounds to a professional standard including emptying outdoor bins, litter picking and road sweeping
- Carry out snow clearing
- Strimming, mowing, weeding, seasonal clearance of fallen leaves and removal of fallen branches
- Use relevant tools and equipment, drive company vehicles and machinery safely
- Assist trades staff in maintenance work when needed
- Assist with stores / move stock and materials
- Working 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day between 07:00 & 19:00, Monday to Friday
The person:
- Previous experience of grounds work is preferred but not essential
- Good standard of fitness appropriate to the tasks

Equans is looking for a Customer Liaison Officer to join our team in Birmingham on a permanent basis.

What will you deliver?
- To provide consultation and support to residents prior to, during and after works to their homes, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Managing the customer/resident journey whilst following the client and company engagement procedures
- To develop effective working relationships with residents, clients, subcontractors, site-based personnel, local stakeholders, the local community and the Customer Care Department
- Carry out choice events, consultation events and individual consultation with residents regarding future work.

Helpdesk Operative
Equans is looking for a Helpdesk Operative to join our team based at Southern Water in Durrington near Worthing, West Sussex, on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
General Overview
Assist with Job Logging / emails. Log and allocate all customer requests to relevant provider.
Deliver excellent customer Service and interpret and manage work orders through Planon and SharePoint systems ensuring that SLA’s and KPI’s are met. Provision of administrative support as required. Reactive works sub-contractor management and on-going works management.
What will you deliver?
- First point of contact for incoming telephone calls and services requests received by telephone and email
- Interpret and log requests, inputting details into an in-house system
- Sort and dispatch calls to relevant provider based on each party’s contract deliverables
- Prioritise urgent jobs and dispatch to relevant provider to address urgent demand
- Manage Helpdesk inbox
- Build and maintain a good working relationship with suppliers and sub-contractors
- Escalate any complaints as required and support continuous improvement activity to reduce levels of customer complaints
- Chase and manage on-going reactive and corrective work faults for engineer’s and sub-contractors
- Analysis of duplicate or re-occurring faults
- Ad-hoc administration duties as required
- Ensure all actions taken to progress a fault are call logged in Planon to ensure a full audit history
- Ensure KPI’s and SLAs are adhered to
- Cross train and learn each role to be able to cover where required.

Project Quantity Surveyor
EQUANS is looking for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join our refurbishment team, this is a full time permanent role. Our head office base is Hatfield, your time will be split between office work in Hatfield and sites across London and the South East.
This role is to work as part of our refurbishment team on social housing properties, you will be competing internal and external works on projects of circa 5 million.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and keen to start their career with Equans. You will have experience in both refurbishments and social housing. We offer the opportunity to join a well-established team and progress in your career with us.

What will you deliver?
- Management and control of sub-contract accounts, variation accounts, procurement and commercial management on a designated project(s)
- Post-tender internal and external pricing analysis/assessment for sign-off whilst ensuring within budget
- Conduct contract risk and opportunity assessment to identify these areas and plan for them accordingly to ensure pricing remains on budget without undermining Health and Safety.
- Develop an understanding of the designated contract, specification and pricing ensuring compliance with conditions throughout
- Measure progress, submit valuations, submit final accounts and retention release, process subcontractor requests for payment and monitor receipt of payment in a timely manner.
- Completing a monthly cost / valuation report and cash flow for the designation project(s)
- To manage the day to day cost control, monitoring and reporting on a designated project(s) ensuring timely cash flow management for the Client and the group, and the supply chain
- Complete QS documentation (i.e. client invoices) within deadlines ahead of MQS approval to ensure the business doesn’t occur any late payments
- Assist the Estimating team with pre-tender due diligence to ensure consistent commercial goals, assist with estimates and negotiations for future projects or phases.
- Attend project and company related meetings
- Ensure the company is neither compromise nor disadvantaged by a contractual or financial arrangement
- Manage the costs on a project to ensure both the company and the client is fully advised of the cost situation
- Sufficiently manage the financial aspects of the project to ensure the correct safety equipment is used at all times
- Process subcontractor requests for payment and issue of notices in line with the HGCRA

Building Services Technician
Equans is looking for a Building Services Technician to join our team at Heysham 2 Nuclear Power Station on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
What will you deliver?
- Carry out maintenance routines unsupervised, diagnose and repair faults of a wide variety of Mechanical Systems, Air Conditioning Systems including Splits, Multi-Splits, VRV’s, VRF’s, Chillers, Air Handling Units, Commercial Heating Systems, Steam and condensate systems associated plant and pipework
- Maintain, fault find and repair on Domestic Hot and Cold-Water Systems and associated drainage systems
- Ensure compliance with statutory maintenance including record keeping and testing
- Including but not limited to PSSR, F Gas and legionella
- Assisting installations for minor upgrades & adaptation works
- Keeping records & reports up to date and other relevant administration tasks

AC Engineer
Equans is looking for an AC Engineer to join our team covering 2 sites in Chelsea & Sutton, London on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is competitive salary and benefits package.
What will you deliver?
- Ensure all PPM’s is carried out in accordance with the maintenance specification
- Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works
- Reactive tasks throughout the sites are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made
- Plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order
- Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works. To provide parts lists and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works
- Complete Method Statements and Risk Assessments and used for all tasks undertaken
- Undertake mandatory training and skill related training as required by the business
