NWFR Mobile Electrician

EQUANS is looking for a Mobile Electrician to join our team on a permanent basis for our North-West Fire and Rescue contract, covering 8 fire stations across Cumbria and Lancashire. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.  

General Overview:

To carry out planned & reactive maintenance including statutory and mandatory compliance across the North West Fire and Rescue properties.

This is a customer facing role with tight deadlines, so communications skills and ability to prioritise tasks are essential.

Across 9 fire stations across Lancashire and Cumbria.
Full driving licence required, vehicle will be provided.

Qualifications and Experience 
• A recognised industry qualification will be required, and previous experience is essential
• QC Number required
• Edition 18 is essential
• Trade qualified Electrician with at least 5-years post apprenticeship experience
• Legionella & Asbestos awareness (preferable – can provide training)
• MEWP Licence (preferable but not essential)
• First aid trained (preferable but not essential)
• Experience within a similar role/environment is essential
• Full Clean Driving Licence
• Computer literate with good skills in word, excel, email, internet etc
• Able to work on own initiative
• Good knowledge of SHEQ procedures, risk assessments, work permits etc

Main Duties & Responsibilities
1 Apply relevant trade skills to undertake scheduled, planned and reactive maintenance tasks on electrical plant and equipment, ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standards of workmanship and safety.
2 Investigating, trouble shooting and rectifying defects in all electrical installations and associated equipment/components.  Ensure all record keeping functions are completed on a daily basis, ensuring any parts required are clearly and accurately stated.
3 Maintain appropriate qualifications, and up-to-date trade knowledge, as may be required for the safe and efficient performance of duties.
4 To liaise as necessary with client representatives and resolve any matters which may arise. 
5 To immediately report any potentially dangerous situations to the Management.
6 Ensure the satisfactory, prompt and accurate completion of any associated paperwork as required by the company
7 To fulfil Health & Safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the Company's Health & Safety Policy and Health & Safety Management Plans 

8 Comply with all applicable standards, policies and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.
9 To comply with the Company’s Policies, Management Plans and Procedures
10 To undertake such other duties appropriate to the level and character of work as may reasonably be required within the Department / Service. Significant permanent changes in duties will require agreed revisions to be made to this Job Description
11 To participate on the On Call Rota & occasional out of normal working hours activities

Civil Operative

Equans is looking for a Civil Operative to join our team at Heysham 2 Nuclear Power Station on a fixed term contract basis for two months. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

  • Working within the fabric team you will be responsible for carrying out repairs, planned installations and maintenance work on the building fabric, fixtures and fittings
  • Concreting by compacting ground, erect timber and rigid road forms, lay and compact concrete to paths basic slabs and foundations, finish surfaces, cure concrete, roof maintenance inspection, cleaning and repair
  • Effect repairs to internal and external building fabric as required
  • Undertake essential repair works and completion of other related minor building services tasks, general maintenance and activities, at the request of the Team leader
  • Complete all report sheets and test certificates as necessary and mark up any drawing alterations

  • Must demonstrate a methodical approach to tasks and plan accurately
  • Able to follow technical drawings and plans specifications, schedules and manufacturer’s details
  • Numerical ability for measuring and making calculations (material estimates and measurements)

Part Time Afternoon Cleaner

Equans is looking for a Part time Afternoon Cleaner to join our team in Newcastle Law Courts, Quayside, NE1 3LA, on a permanent basis working 10 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £11.79 per hour and benefits package.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 17:00am - 19:00pm

What will you deliver?

As the on-site Cleaner, you’ll keep the building clean and tidy to the highest standard of hygiene, health and safety whilst maintaining a professional manner with all members of staff and general public.

Technical Services Manager

EQUANS is looking for a Technical Services Manager to join our team in London KT6 5PJ on A permanent basis. This is a fulltime role working Monday to Friday. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package. 

The Technical Services Manager will provide support to the Account Manager & Senior Regional Account Manager with management of all aspects of Hard FM delivery on the project. You will provide technical expertise and assist with the delivery and implementation of the Planned Preventative Maintenance programme and will oversee delivery of all Reactive Works.   • Operational management within a Hard FM / TFM environment

  • Direct Line management and development a team of 6 multiskilled maintenance engineers, ensuring high quality engagement and communication and the delivery of contractual expectations and requirements.
  • Management of subcontracted works, ensuring all safety rules & procedures are adhered to.
  • Delivering and ensuring all contractual obligations are fulfilled and, where required, drawing in wider support to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Being able to influence others, through a pragmatic and positive approach to problem solving and opportunity building, with consideration of both short-term and long-term ramifications of decisions and outcomes.
  • Working knowledge of technical disciplines, including but not limited to Water Safety (L8), Fire Safety, Electrical Safety.
  • Fulfil the role of the Responsible Person for Water Hygiene & Legionella control
  • Informing and supporting the implementation of the rolling 5-year lifecycle plan
  • Understanding of Statutory & Technical Compliance requirements
  • Implementation & management of Health & Safety processes.
  • Contractual awareness, preferably within PFI / DBFMO
  • Required to participate in the management on-call rota

Site Administrator

EQUANS is looking for a Site Administrator to join our team! Your head office base is Hatfield, your time will be split between Hatfield and our two sites located at Camden and Barnett.  You will be required to drive in between site and the office, therefor we cover expenses for travel to sites.

We are looking for someone with administration experience working in a construction environment. You will be able to pick up new systems quickly with training provided.

In return we offer a full time permanent position, with a salary between £26,000 - £28,000 depending on your skills and experience.

What will you deliver? 

The main purpose of the role is to provide administrative support to the relevant department and as required whilst organising and supervising all the administrative activities that facilitate the smooth running of the site.

  • Working alongside refurbishment team on social housing
  • Managing and updating systems
  • Attending site to get updates from site team
  • Attending office to update information onto relevant systems
  • Ensure office filing systems are up to date in line with GDPR / client contracts and modify accordingly
  • Be able to utilise knowledge and experience to ensure quick solutions are provided

Who are we looking for? 

  • Strong Microsoft Office experience, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience of working in the construction industry 
  • Previous experience in an administrative role
  • Ability to pick up new systems quickly
  • High level of organisation skills
  • Full UK driving license

EQUANS Chile (EQCL), se encuentra en búsqueda de un CAPATAZ OBRAS CIVILES quien tendrá como principal función realizar las tareas de mantención de los equipos e instalaciones de las áreas de planta, según los programas, procedimientos y normas establecidas al respecto, con el fin de garantizar la disponibilidad y confiabilidad de los equipos e instalaciones comprometidas en el contrato de mantención, bajo los estándares de calidad, seguridad y protección al medio ambiente definidos.

Conocimientos requeridos:
