The Design Manager will be focused on the management of design and technical support services to our data center projects and will support the teams in the resolution of design related issues in a timely manner, ensuring there are no delays to the construction and fit-out process.
What you will deliver?
- Take full responsibility for the design coordination within the project.
- Liaise with the client to establish information flow and platforms to be utilised.
- Work with the programmers to establish timelines and take responsibility for the production and control of the design programme and report against it.
- Manage the uploading of the design information in a timely manner.
- Monitor the Design management tools to ensure all information is available and is in the correct location.
- Organise, control and manage the design team meeting with the client and their teams.
- Identify and manage risk from drawings, specifications, programme and procurement.
- Identify problems and offer solutions.
- Assist in ensuring that work is carried out in full conformance with quality, environmental and safety standards.

Customer Services Advisor
Working in partnership with North Tyneside Council, EQUANS is looking for a Customer Service Advisor to join our team based in Killingworth, Newcastle on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £23,400 per annum and benefits package.
Customer Service Advisors are part of a wider Customer Service team providing comprehensive advice and information on a range of services via all contact channels e.g. telephone, face to face and other electronic channels. The post holder will be expected to provide support for a range of internal and external customers, providing first contact resolution and taking ownership of customer’s enquiries. The post holder will work within and actively promote customer service standards, acting as an ambassador for Customer Services, clients and EQUANS. Senior Project Manager
EQUANS is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our team at Manchester Joint Hospital on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, car allowance, and benefits package.
This role is fundamental to the delivery of all projects and lifecycle works on behalf of Equans and the Client. Meeting the Clients needs and ensuring works are delivered within budget and on time is paramount and the post holder needs to reflect this in the day-day operations. All projects must ensure a favourable financial return.
As part of the Project Management team you will take full accountability for the delivery of Variations and Life Cycle projects across the PFI site. Your role will be fundamental to the efficient delivery of projects to both the SPV and Trust who you will build relationships with as part of your role. You will be expected to work well with the remainder of the team and support the wider Operational team to support the business in its Contractual delivery.
We are looking for a driven individual to add expertise and dimension to the team at the Hospital. The individual will be able to demonstrate flexibility and efficiency in responding to a changing workload and business imperatives while able to establish excellent working relationships within the existing team and clients alike. Experience within a contractual, KPI-driven environment and exposure to a hospital PFI environment a pre-requisite.
The ideal candidate will have an M&E or construction background and previous experience of end to end project management, being responsible for development through to completion.
What will you deliver?
- Take profit and loss responsibility for those projects allocated to you. To own each project and delivery with a high degree of attention to design, construction and financial detail. Deliver projects without LADs being applied
- From resources available, draw together matrix managed teams to deliver owned projects. These may be from a combination of in-house and out-sourced resources
- To be accountable for the service delivery in accordance with business systems, such as quality assurance, environmental management system, financial systems, administration and policies
- Through a recognised process (usually identified by the client process e.g. RIBA plan of work) create strategic, operational and tactical programmes to demonstrate how projects will be delivered. Set and manage management and client expectations through clear communications centred around programme/construction programme, budget (internal / external) and the quality of services delivered during live projects until completion and post completion assessment
- To Manage the development of detailed Work Method Statements, Risk and COSHH and CDM assessments for all work activity undertaken by in-house and contracted staff ensuring complete compliance. Maintain high and statutory compliant health and safety standards on project sites at all times
- To appoint, manage, monitor and co-ordinate consultants as required and the on site activities of all sub-contractors with regard to programme and ensuring that appropriate planning consents, CDM requirements, Method Statements, Risk and COSHH Assessments and Permits to Work are in place prior to work commencing
- In accordance with contract forms, manage projects within the specified terms. Ensure risk is appropriately considered for sub-contract transfer or reviewed in conjunction with procurement / legal departments to agree risk share
- In conjunction with Purchasing Department colleagues prepare and issue documentation for schedules of rates, quotations, tenders and term contracts as appropriate. Carry out tender evaluations and check that returned documents conform to requirements
- Promote effective and efficient co-ordination and integration between the projects team(s) and other departments on the contract and wider Equans managers. Promote effective and efficient co-ordination and integration. Ensure projects delivered do not compromise TFM/PFI KPIs or render space unavailable
- Provide urgent management information when required, weekly up-dates and monthly management information for pipeline, cashflow, budgetary and ‘Gesion’ purposes
- To develop business opportunities within and external to the contract where appropriate
- Produce business approval & revue documentation for the launch of new tenders at bid stage, tender receipt and analysis stage and documentation for board ‘Bouclage’ approval to proceed to submission
- To ensure that SLAs from subcontractors are met and exceed the requirements of the TFM contract and that sub-contracts are negotiated, reviewed and renewed actively and in line with the needs of each individual project
- Gather organise and provide information required for report purposes to meet all contractual obligations including KPI’s and maintain such records as are required by the contract. Work closely with supply chain on all appointment and monitoring activities
- To ensure that all contracting companies plant and equipment is maintained in a safe condition and is ready for use at all times
- To participate in out of hours management team as part of Contract business continuity plan

General Overview
To assist the Commercial Manager with effective financial management during pre-commencement stage in order to reduce risk and increase target contribution prior to commencement on site.
To play a fundamental role within the site team to ensure the efficient delivery of each scheme. It is also essential that the SQS undertakes financial management and accurate reportage, in accordance with company procedures.
To assist the CM in financial pre-commencement activities such as pricing of works for submission to client, appointment of consultants, initial subcontract negotiations.
To carry out key commercial tasks such as bonus payments, subcontract procurement and management, site measurement, internal and external valuations, Management of change orders, Cost Value reportage, Performance Reviews – all in accordance with the Quantity Surveyors Manual and Training Plan.

- Ensure PSL is reviewed prior to subcontract procurement and that subcontract orders are placed in line with supply chain agreements.

Operative bonus payments
- Obtain weekly bonus sheets from directly employed operative.
- Check against Site Manager’s weekly time sheet.

Monthly cost value reports
- Completion of initial internal value split within cost value report to determine value within each discipline.
- Completion of cost projection for duration of scheme across all elements to establish projected final cost.
- Produce accurate cost information for monthly Cost Value Report.

- Updating internal value in line with most recent projected final account.
- Updating projected cost for the duration of scheme.
- Ensure Subcontract and Material liabilities are input accurately.
- Completion of Contribution Action Plan.

- Attend budget meetings with site team.
- Production of performance review document for senior management.
- Present current Cost Value Report to senior management during performance review.
Management of change orders/variation accounts
- Accurately record occurrence of any change orders; whether client or contractor led.

Dagelijks bestaan jouw werkzaamheden als Onderhoudstechnicus uit:
- uitvoeren van servicebeurten en onderhoud, zodat de installaties in uitmuntende staat zijn. Hierbij houd je rekening met de gemaakte afspraken, veiligheidsvoorschriften en procedures
- oplossen van storingen aan gebouwgebonden installaties (Elektrotechniek, Werktuigbouwkunde en/of HVAC) waarbij je rekening houdt met de geldende veiligheidsvoorschriften, klanteisen en geldende kwaliteitsnormen
- zorgen voor een opgeruimde en schone werkplek en installaties waarbij je controleboekjes netjes invult. Daarnaast zorg je voor een goede schriftelijke rapportage welke je met digitale systemen aanlevert bij de servicecoördinatoren
- het draaien van een wachtdienst waarbij je zelfstandig verantwoordelijk bent voor het oplossen van plotselinge storingen

Afstudeerstage Engineering, Dordrecht
Ben jij een hbo student en op zoek naar een afstudeerstage op het gebied van engineering zowel hardware als software? Per februari zijn wij dan op zoek naar jou.
Dit ga je doen
Je gaat meedraaien in het ontwerpteam en vertaalt de vraag van de klant naar concrete oplossingen. Dit uiteraard onder begeleiding van een senior engineer welke jou alle kneepjes van het vak leert. Je komt in aanraking met verschillende deelinstallaties, denk aan energiedistributie, cameratechniek, glasvezeltechniek, diverse verkeersinstallaties en nog veel meer! Je zult je verbazen over hoeveel verschillende technieken er verstopt zitten in onze wereld van Infra.
Verder ga je met allerlei systemen en methodieken te maken krijgen om het werk overzichtelijk te maken. Ook ga je samen met je collega’s naar projectbezoeken om daar met uitvoering en testers te overleggen hoe we de ontwerpen naar de praktijk kunnen brengen en om te bouwen tot een technisch hoogstaande installatie voor onze klanten.
Al het bovenstaande stemmen we uiteraard met je af op jouw wensen en opleiding.
Je zal onderdeel worden van onze Talentpool waarbij je met andere stagiaires en afstudeerders deelneemt aan verschillende workshops.
Jouw stage omgeving

Dit ga je doen als projectleider
Als projectleider fire safety & security bij Equans ben je verantwoordelijk voor het tijdig, binnen (risico) richtlijnen en projectbudgetten realiseren van de overeengekomen projectresultaten. Hierbij beoordeel je offertes op kwaliteit en haalbaarheid en ben je actief betrokken bij de verbetering of aanscherping hiervan. Je pakt de verantwoordelijk voor de forecasting van (deel) projecten en zorgt dat projectplannen worden uitgewerkt in inzichtelijke, transparante en beheersbare processtappen. Het is uiteraard van belang dat de juiste competentieniveau ’s binnen projectteams zijn geborgd om de gestelde projectresultaten te behalen. Met je projectmanagementervaring ben jij als geen ander in staat een beheersbare projectorganisatie neer te zetten met (kosten) efficiënte, effectieve en volledig op elkaar afgestemde werkprocessen. Daarbij herken je mogelijkheden om bestaande opdrachten uit te breiden. Verder bewaakt je de kwaliteit en voortgang van de projectactiviteiten en stuurt tijdig bij wanneer dat nodig is. Verandering is een zekerheid en is altijd aan de orde van de dag. Gelukkig heb jij een vooruitziende blik en anticipeer je handig en tijdig bij een veranderende klantvraag en/of meerwerk.
