Grounds Supervisor

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Supervisor to join our Facilities Management team at West Middlesex University Hospital in Isleworth. This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm.

The role:

Reporting to the Operations Manager
To supervise and assist with the maintenance of the hospital grounds to a professional standard, by means of litter and weed control, graffiti removal, and snow and ice removal
To oversee the day to day operations of the external Car Parking arrangements
Maintain close liaison with the Trust Facilities team members
Oversee the direct labour team and those of sub-contractors
Assist trade staff in maintenance, repair and installation / new works
To monitor and approve contractors’ work
Working 40 hours per week from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday

The person:

Must have supervisory experience and good people management skills
Strongly client focused, able to take ownership of projects/issues and resolve
Previous experience of grounds work is desirable
Excellent customer service skills and a high standard of work and attention to detail
Good organisation skills, including the ability to plan and prioritise work
Multi-skilled with a flexible, can-do approach
Familiar with Health & Safety procedures, manual handling and COSHH
A full driving licence is essential
Must be able to gain DBS clearance

We are committed to providing cutting edge solutions for our clients Data Centre facilities and are recruitment a Project Engineer – Electrical to join our innovative team in projects based in Newport. The Project Engineer – Electrical will be part of the team responsible for managing the construction aspects of large projects from inception to completion, within set timescales, to high quality standards and within health and safety guidelines.

What you will deliver?

Assist in ensuring that work is carried out in full conformance with quality, environmental and safety standards
Assist with co-ordinate and control the on-site construction process ensuring the site build progresses in line with plan
Liaise with Statutory Authorities and Local Authorities as directed by the Site Manager in the submission of all Building Regulation cards as required to allow the progress of the project
Attend site meetings, effectively communicate and provide information for Progress Reports
Chair and minute the subcontractor meetings in the absence of the Site or Project Manager

Senior Technical Services Manager

Equans is looking for an Senior Technical Services Manager to join our team in Wakefield on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week.

On offer is a salary of £68.000 dependent on skills, knowledge and experience, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.

The Senior Technical Services Manager will report directly to the Account Director. You will lead, motivate, support, and provide direct guidance to the Site Facilities Managers, Supervisors and operatives in providing the technical service delivery across all the CCEP sites across the UK.

Ensure delivery of effective and efficient maintenance services encompassing mechanical, electrical, building fabric and small project management. Core elements will include management of the National Electrical Testing and Inspection Team, Health & Safety, communication between the internal technical team and client contacts on day-to-day activities, owning statutory and mandatory compliance.

The role holder will support in the procurement, setting to work and monitoring of key service providers, ensuring inspections, maintenance, testing, verification and repairs are carried out to the correct standard and corrective actions are raised and completion documentation received and verified in accordance with statutory and regulatory compliance.

What will you deliver?

Provide assurance of contractual and statutory compliance, identifying areas of technical risk, and ensuring these are highlighted and solutions sought and train our staff in compliance management best practices.
Ensure defined policy and procedures are adopted by the business, to evidence compliance with all engineering standards including Legislation, ACOP, British, European and International Standards and industry best practice inc SFG20.
To work closely with operational and other business teams to put in place the appropriate standards, systems, processes and ways of working, to deliver excellence in all engineering disciplines.
Ensure Equans safe systems of work, in line with contract specification and recognised codes of practice and carry out the duties of Authorised Person, as designated, in accordance with Company standards for the multiple systems designated to you (following training, assessment and formal appointment)
Ensure the provision of healthy and safe working conditions and that both clients and Company health and safety policy and process is effectively implemented across both Equans and subcontractors’ activities and are regularly reviewed.
Manage compliance and ensure it is fully up to date from respective Facilities Managers/supervisors.
Manage and oversee external sub-contractors and professionals following company contractor management processes
Ensuring that contractor and the in-house engineering team are competence checked and they are appointed as Competent Persons.
Develop and maintain close relationships and liaison with internal/external stakeholders, i.e. Facilities and Utilities Manager, Senior Engineering Manager, Senior Operations manager, site delivery team
To always observe statutory and other relevant requirements, in particular those relating to the Health & Safety at Work Act, COSHH Regulations and Electrical IEE regulations, PSSR and H&S Guidance notes.
To carry out any other such reasonable tasks and duties relevant to the post as may be required
Supporting FM’s interface between client communications and providing Technical/ contractual backup.
Working with direct reports to ensure the collaborative development of the business, effective teamworking, and support to colleagues. – Ensure safe systems of work are in place and always used.
Ensure that the contract delivery team has sufficient appointed persons to undertake works as per Equans Safety Rules
Undertake AP/RP positions/duties such as L8, Pressure Systems. LV/HV – Ensure adherence to all Statutory Standards and Regulations.
Ensure that staff performance is managed as required through for example, performance appraisals, disciplinary proceedings, and grievances.
Proactively identify and manage the professional development and training needs of the technical staff.
Produce technical reports and evidence as required for assurance and auditing.

Who are we looking for?

Relevant trade qualifications or apprenticeship
HNC/ONC/C&G or equivalent in relevant mechanical/electrical/building engineering discipline.
Proven management experience of Hard FM teams.
Knowledge and understanding of SFG Specifications, British Standards.

What We Are Looking For:

Technical Skills: NVQ Level 3 in Maintenance Services (or equivalent) with hands-on experience in mechanical systems, including DHW, LPHW, CHW, and ventilation systems. Previous pipefitting and steam system experience is a plus.
Collaboration: A team player who can build relationships with customers and colleagues, and contribute positively to team goals.

Mechanical Engineer

Equans is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team on site in Westminster, London on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary banding of £40,000 - £45,801 per annum, dependent upon skills and experience and benefits package.

A role has become available on a prestigious government facilities management contract for a mechanical engineer. The role is a for a day shift engineer, working 8 hours each shift 09:00 – 18:00, with some flexibility to meet requirements.

What will you deliver?

The successful candidate will be required to have proven previous experience of planned preventative and reactive maintenance and their primary task will be to perform works on mechanical systems; including plumbing, air conditioning, pressure systems and will be required to assist the team with building fabric and electrical systems
Effectively performing maintenance of a range of assets, through following a PPM schedule and ensuring compliance in a flexible and efficient manner
Manage any reactive tasks that get raised, from diagnosis through to sourcing parts and on to completion
Working as first line response to any reactive call-out, ensuring that you are always working safely and to the Approved Codes of Practice for the relevant service you are carrying out
Working with various different parties, including specialist subcontractors in order to deliver work to the highest of standards for our clients. You must be able to demonstrate that you are aware of best working practices and that you are following them at all times

Servicetechnicus Elektrotechniek Infra

Als Servicetechnicus Elektrotechniek bij Equans Infra & Energie werk je aan uitdagende infrastructurele objecten in Zeeland. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor het uitvoeren van preventief en correctief onderhoud, het oplossen van storingen en het uitvoeren van reparaties en modificaties aan diverse elektrotechnische installaties in de regio. Dit ga je doen als Projectleider Building Automation
Als Projectleider Building Automation bij Equans ben je verantwoordelijk voor het tijdig, binnen (risico) richtlijnen en projectbudgetten realiseren van de overeengekomen projectresultaten. Je pakt de verantwoordelijkheid voor de forecasting van (deel) projecten en zorgt dat projectplannen worden uitgewerkt in inzichtelijke, transparante en beheersbare processtappen. Het is uiteraard van belang dat de juiste competentieniveaus binnen projectteams zijn geborgd om de gestelde projectresultaten te behalen.

Met je projectmanagementervaring ben jij als geen ander in staat een beheersbare projectorganisatie neer te zetten met (kosten) efficiënte, effectieve en volledig op elkaar afgestemde werkprocessen. Daarbij herken je mogelijkheden om bestaande opdrachten uit te breiden. Verder bewaak je de kwaliteit en voortgang van de projectactiviteiten en stuur je tijdig bij wanneer dat nodig is. Als Senior Engineer Meet- & Regeltechniek Utiliteit bij Equans in Roden ben jij de verbinder tussen de verschillende engineering- en uitvoeringsafdelingen van uiteenlopende projecten in de regio Noord. Je zorgt voor een goed werkende meet- en regelinstallatie voor diverse HVAC-projecten. Dat betekent dat je:

ontwerpt en implementeert: je bent verantwoordelijk voor het ontwerp van automatiseringssystemen voor meet- & regelinstallaties
zorgt voor uniformiteit: je hanteert een overeengekomen standaard binnen de afdeling, aangevuld met de wensen van de klant
signaleert en rapporteert: je houdt afwijkingen in HVAC- en regeltechnische installaties scherp in de gaten, analyseert ze en schakelt met de juiste afdelingen of met de Projectleider Meet- & Regeltechniek

Dit ga je doen als Application Engineer
Als Application Engineer bij Equans verdiep je je in de processen en installaties van onze klanten in zowel de complexe utiliteit als de industrie.

Onder leiding van een Project Engineer of Projectleider ben je betrokken bij alle fases van het project, van ontwerp tot uitvoering. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor de functionele uitwerking van de regeltechnische industriële installaties in de PLC- en/of SCADA-applicaties.

Omdat we werken in verschillende marktsegmenten – van industriële omgevingen en grote utilitaire objecten tot drinkwatermanagement – is geen project hetzelfde. Dat vraagt om flexibiliteit en de bereidheid om elke keer weer in nieuwe uitdagingen te duiken. Je houdt je daarnaast bezig met:

beoordelen van aangeleverde gegevens en deze vertalen naar een basisontwerp
vertalen van eisen vanuit de vakdiscipline naar richtlijnen voor offerteaanvragen en het valideren van deze aanvragen
in kaart brengen van technische en functionele risico’s voor de vakdiscipline en maatregelen nemen om deze risico’s te reduceren
bouwen, controleren en onderhouden van de applicatiesoftware aan de hand van ontwerpdocumenten
bepalen en onderhouden van standaarden en sturen op het gebruik hiervan
bewaken van de voortgang van de vakdiscipline binnen het project (zowel urenbudget als planning) en hierover rapporteren aan de projectverantwoordelijke
ondersteunen van Junior en Medior collega’s bij het realiseren van applicatiesoftware en hen vakinhoudelijk begeleiden bij inbedrijfstellingen
