Equans is looking for a Plumber to join our team at Rowanbank Clinic, Glasgow on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is competitive salary and in addition you will receive an excellent benefits package.

We are seeking a skilled Plumber with a recognised apprenticeship background to join our flexible maintenance team. You will play a vital role in ensuring the safe, reliable operation and upkeep of building systems, plant, equipment, fabric, and grounds primarily at Rowanbank Clinic Glasgow, with support duties across other nearby NHS facilities as needed.

Reporting to the Technical Services Manager through the Facilities Team Leader, you will undertake maintenance, repair, and minor project works across multiple sites. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail and use of specialist tools and precision equipment to maintain a wide range of equipment and fabric within healthcare environments.

What will you deliver?

  • Execute planned and reactive mechanical maintenance tasks on equipment including air handling units, calorifiers, heat stations, water and pressure systems, medical gas installations, and legionella control.
  • Follow all EQUANS rules and statutory compliance requirements including Safe Operation Low Voltage, Mechanical, Pressure, Water, Medical Gas, Confined Spaces, and Scottish Health Technical Memoranda (SHTM).
  • Produce and use Method Statements and Risk Assessments to manage safe working practices and Permit-to-Work issuance.
  • Respond promptly to unplanned events to meet SLA requirements, minimizing downtime and avoiding contractual penalties.
  • Assist with small works, variations, installations, improvements, and emergency repairs including out-of-hours duties and on-call rota participation.
  • Liaise professionally with Facilities Team Leaders and NHS clients to coordinate plant or equipment failures, supply of parts, and required services.
  • Maintain accurate electronic and hardcopy reports, test certificates, and task assessment sheets; suggest maintenance routine improvements.
  • Use specialist and standard tools safely and maintain workshops, storage areas, and equipment in a clean, orderly state.
  • Participate in training programs for new skills development and statutory compliance, including becoming an Appointed Person (AP) in relevant disciplines.
  • Demonstrate teamwork by supporting colleagues and subcontractors effectively.
  • Be flexible to travel to other Equans sites in the region based on business needs.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct in patient-facing clinical areas, respecting healthcare site protocols.

Who are we looking for?

  • Must have successfully completed a recognised plumbing apprenticeship and have a proven experience in a similar role carrying out mechanical maintenance duties. Hospital maintenance experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Be competent to undertake/assist work on the type of building service systems and equipment for which the appointment is sought.

    Be familiar with the type of systems and equipment on which work is required to be undertaken.

  • Possess technical knowledge and sufficient experience to avoid any danger that may be presented by the work to be undertaken.

    Have an adequate knowledge of and within the preceding three years have received training in first aid (including CPR Training). If not held, training will be given.

  • Desirable but not essential to have some knowledge of all the relevant Scottish Health Technical Memoranda (SHTM) and to work within Permit to Work procedures as appropriate (SHTM 01 - 08, BSRIA, L8, pressure systems Regulations 2000, etc).
  • This role includes a Disclosure Scotland PVG check therefore ability to pass is essential.

  • Position Equans as a leader in sustainable district energy systems, leveraging the increasing adoption of centralized heating/cooling networks and the integration of renewable sources;
  • Drive multi‑year EaaS contract structuring, including off‑balance‑sheet financing, O&M contracting, lifecycle services, and energy performance guarantees.

 Client Engagement & Strategic Partnerships

  • Build executive‑level relationships with utilities, municipalities, campuses, pharma/biotech clients, industrial operators, and real estate developers;
  • Engage with engineering firms, OEMs, ESCOs, technology providers, and financiers to support project development and delivery;

Technical & Commercial Solution Development

  • Lead development of conceptual and preliminary technical solutions, coordinating with engineering, operations, and finance experts;

Requirements

  • Authorized to work in the US; 
  • Ability to pass all background checks and security screenings;

  • Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in facility management and/or building science (Understanding facility services/IFM commercial models);
  • Demonstrated relevant experience in strategic business development role;

What will you deliver?

  • Reception & helpdesk based with requirement to cover the helpdesk 8am – 8pm; as such a range of working patterns may be available.
  • Act as the primary contact for residents’ enquiries at the Helpdesk, over the phone and via email with a friendly and welcoming, yet sensitive attitude.
  • Promote access to the wider services & support from the university.
  • Take ownership for and respond to all customer enquiries in a timely fashion
  • Log & track all reactive work order requests on the Maximo 7.6 CAFM system
  • Support all planning of student arrivals to the site
  • Distribute reactive work orders to in-house engineers and subcontractors as required.
  • Liaise with residents whenever needed, ensuring they are informed of all planned works, any activities requiring entry or disruption to their living spaces
  • Administer all building access cards & keys for residents & visitors on site
  • Undertake “Safe & Well” checks with residents when required
  • Maintain & update student handbooks and display screens / boards across the site
  • Administer Permits to Work and Access tokens to subcontractors as required.
  • Undertake cyclical housekeeping duties within the accommodation units & externally as required
  • Support the maintenance teams in attending to ad-hoc reactive cleaning requests when needed
  • Support the maintenance teams with replacement of sundry items in residences when required
  • Undertake basic inspections of the accommodation units & grounds
  • Monitor stock levels and report data to the contract administrator
  • Any other reasonable requests on an ad-hoc basis to support the wider FM operations.

Station Reception Officer

Equans currently has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Station Reception Officer to join our operational team at Lewisham Police Station. This is a permanent full-time shift based position working an average of 40 hours per week on a continental shift pattern: - 12 hour day & night shifts / 10 hour shifts 07:00 - 19:00; 19:00 - 07:00 / 07:00 - 17:00 & 21:00 - 07:00 with a one hour paid break.

Senior Operations Manager

Equans is looking for a Senior Operations Manager to join our team at Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.

Reporting to the General Manager, the post holder will be responsible for coordinating the activities of the maintenance services in accordance with the requirements of the Private Finance Initiative (PFI) Concession Agreement. Contract Manager

This is a complex PFI contract delivering Hard FM. Previous experience with PFI and healthcare would be beneficial, a technical background and previous experience with managing KPI’s and SLA is essential.

Digital Project Manager

Equans is looking for a Digital Project Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.

The Digital Project Manager is a member of the Sustainable FM Digital Transformation Team.

Reporting to the Chief Transformation Officer, the Digital Project Manager’s responsibilities are focused on the development and delivery of change interventions and communication activities across a variety of projects and programmes delivered by the central Transformation and Change team. This includes divisional, MBU and Group led projects such as, strategic business changes, process/systems transformation and organisational change, working on a multi project basis.

Activities will be varied but will include mapping and communicating with key stakeholders, and identifying the impact changes have on people within the business and supporting the development of robust change interventions and communication plans to ensure changes are understood and effectively adopted and business outcomes achieved.

The post holder will work closely with colleagues in the Transformation and Change team, Programme Partners and also liaise with the central internal communications team, providing input into wider internal communication activities and initiatives across the UK Business Unit to increase understanding of the UK strategy and ensure coordinated and consistent messaging across the business.

A broad mix of skills and experience are required to enable the role holder to support the wide range of activities the team is involved in. 

What will you deliver?

  • Supporting the implementation of change using established change management methodologies and techniques (change impact assessments, user journeys etc)
  • Developing and delivering training solutions to support change programmes, working with third parties as required
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of stakeholder maps
  • Developing, implementing and continually updating the communications plans for the Transformation Programme and associated strategic projects, acting as the communications business partner to improve adoption, efficiency and awareness throughout the organization

  • Proven experience in quality, compliance, audit, or governance within facilities management or a regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of complex contractual frameworks, preferably in PFI healthcare or NHS estates.
