Craftsman (Joiner)

EQUANS is looking for a Craftsman (Joiner) to join our team in Halifax on a permanent basis at Calderdale Royal Hospital. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

General Overview:

To undertake a proactive role to carry out maintenance, repairs and inspection of the building fabric, joinery services, associated systems, plant and equipment in accordance with relevant standards and operational procedures.

Impact: 

Deliver a safe, happy & compliant hospital environment to provide the best possible patient experience. Minimise penalty deductions by responding in a timely manner to all maintenance issues in accordance with the requirements of the Concession / Project Agreement.

Ensure there is minimum disruption to wards and departments throughout the site whilst carrying out works.

Complexity:

Complete allocated Reactive & Maintenance tasks with in timeframes required by the  contract. Work collaboratively with other Equans staff members as well as our Service partners. All within a challenging but rewarding healthcare environment.

1.  Carry out maintenance, repairs, testing and inspection of building, joinery services, associated systems, plant and equipment in accordance with relevant standards and operational procedures.

2. Carry out duties in accordance with safe working practices within statutory, NHS, Trust and Company guidelines.

3. Respond in a timely manner to breakdown requests

4. Ensure that there is minimum disruption to the Wards and Departments whilst carrying out work.

5. Collaborate and co-operate with the Trust, partners and colleagues to deliver a customer focussed service

6. Where instructed, carry out minor repairs to the building fabric to ensure the safety and security of the Trust’s premises, patients, staff and visitors.

7. Carry out installation work involved in minor upgrading and adaptation works.

8. Demonstrate flexibility in undertaking tasks with other trades and contractors.

9. Safely operate all types of access equipment, hand and power tools in accordance with health & safety and manufacturers' guidelines.

10. Ensure the correct use of personal protective equipment and adherence to health & safety and infection control procedures

11. Respond in a safe manner to the effects of bad weather, eg. Snow clearing, gritting, flooding, high winds, etc.

12. Maintain records as appropriate.

13. Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives

14. Undertake training where necessary to learn other skills and to maintain and develop the requirements of the service.

15. Participate in emergency Standby rota.

16. Liaise and undertake duties at other EQUANS projects as directed.

17. Implement Infection Control requirements through information, instruction and training.

Qualifications or Required Experience: 

Hold an NVQ in Joinery other similar qualifications will be considered for the right candidate. Experience in a Healthcare environment or experience working in similar contractual arrangement.

Dit ga je doen als Projecteider Piping & Mechanical
Als Projectleider bij Equans is geen dag hetzelfde. Afwisseling en uitdagingen kenmerken de functie. In deze functie ben je verantwoordelijk voor de planning, coördinatie en realisatie van complexe, vaak multidisciplinaire nieuwbouw en renovatieprojecten bij mooie opdrachtgevers binnen de industriële sector (energiebedrijven, waterschappen, stadsverwarming, etc.). Hierbij draag je zowel de operationele als de financiële verantwoordelijkheid, geef je leiding aan een gemotiveerd team van deskundige engineers, werkvoorbereiders en uitvoerders en werk je nauw samen met collega ‘s, projectleiders en andere afdelingen zoals HSE, planning, project cost controls en het management.

Wat neem je mee
Voor deze fantastische functie zijn wij op zoek naar een enthousiaste en gedreven kandidaat die zichzelf herkent in de volgende omschrijving:
- je hebt minimaal een HBO opleiding (bijvoorbeeld Werktuigbouwkunde) afgerond en je hebt HBO werk- en denkniveau
- je hebt een aantal jaar ervaring met het leiden van installatietechnische projecten in de industrie of hoogwaardige utiliteit
- uitstekende managementvaardigheden: je bent een echte teamspeler, kunt op een natuurlijk wijze - leidinggeven en bent organisatorisch sterk
- eigenaarschap: je bent een aanpakker, een doorzetter en neemt zelf verantwoordelijkheid
- je bent in staat om zelfstandig te functioneren, projecten in alle aspecten te beheersen en heeft een natuurlijke drive om continue te leren en verbeteren
- communicatief en commercieel vaardig: je bent doortastend, overtuigend en sociaal handig, communiceert duidelijk en helder richting het projectteam, collega’s en opdrachtgevers. Je pikt commerciële kansen op en bewaakt (budgettaire) grenzen.
