Dayshift Electrician

Equans is looking for a Dayshift Electrician to join our team at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh Hospital on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary banding of £35,121 - £37,500 per annum depending on skills and experience. In addition you will receive an excellent benefits package. 

What will you deliver?

  • Working directly to the Electrical Supervisor, the post holder will have the required skills to ensure the safe and continuous operation of mechanical, electrical engineering services and building plant as part of a flexible maintenance team, including specialist subcontractors to deliver work to the highest of standards for our clients.
  • The main responsibilities include efficiently and effectively performing electrical maintenance of all relevant assets. Work will be assigned from a planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule or in response to a reactive work order raised by our client representatives or our own personnel on site. All planned and reactive tasks will be managed through to completion, including fault diagnosis and sourcing parts where applicable. Must be able to demonstrate that awareness of best working practices and that these are always followed. Additional duties to include, working and managing backlog works, assisting when required for specialist projects.
  • Working as part of a wider M&E team, there may be a requirement to undertake other tasks that may not be specifically related to electrical systems.

Who are we looking for?

  • Must have successfully completed a recognised electrical apprenticeship and have a proven experience in a similar role carrying out electrical maintenance duties.
  • Hospital maintenance experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Be competent to undertake/assist work on the type of building service systems and equipment for which the appointment is sought.
  • Be familiar with the type of systems and equipment on which work is required to be undertaken.
  • Possess technical knowledge and sufficient experience to avoid any danger that may be presented by the work to be undertaken.
  • Have an adequate knowledge of and within the preceding three years have received training in first aid (including CPR Training). If not held, training will be given.
  • Desirable but not essential to have some knowledge of all the relevant Scottish Health Technical Memoranda (SHTM) and to work within Permit to Work procedures as appropriate SHTM 06 - 01, BSRIA, L8, pressure systems Regulations 2000, etc).
  • Must be able to obtain a Disclosure Scotland at a Basic Level

Key activities: 

  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, track material usage, and conduct regular physical inventory counts to ensure data accuracy

  • Documentation: Ensure all material transactions are properly documented in the inventory management system, including receipts, transfers, and shipments
  • Quality Control: Inspect materials upon arrival for quality and quantity, and manage any discrepancies or defects in collaboration with the quality assurance team
  • Reporting: Generate regular inventory and material usage reports for management, highlighting any issues or potential improvements in material handling and storage
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines for material storage and handling, and ensure that all team members follow these protocols
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve material control processes, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency within the supply chain
  • Must continuously balance the need for adequate stock levels against the risk of overstocking. This requires careful analysis of demand forecasts, lead times, and production schedules to ensure materials are available when needed without tying up excess capital in inventory

Skills, qualifications & experience 

  • Experience in material control, inventory management, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Forklift licence
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of safety and quality standards related to material handling
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move materials as needed, work in a warehouse environment, and operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).

Voor Projecten groep Industrie zijn wij op zoek naar een ervaren en enthousiaste Werkvoorbereider Electrical & Instrumentation in Zaandam. Ben jij op zoek naar een bredere technische uitdaging als ervaren werkvoorbereider, of wil je de stap maken van werkvoorbereider die een paar jaar onderweg is naar een rol met meer verantwoordelijkheid/uitdaging of ben jij wellicht de persoon met ambitie om vanuit deze functie door te groeien naar projectleider? Dan willen we jou graag onze mogelijkheden laten zien.

Als Werkvoorbereider heb je een belangrijke coördinerende rol in het team. Je bent betrokken, voelt je verantwoordelijk en draagt bij aan een zorgvuldige voorbereiding van de project werkzaamheden. Daarbij houd je het projectteam op de hoogte van de juiste informatie en documentatie. Je takenpakket daarbij is breed. Je stelt o.a. werkplannen op, maakt duidelijke werkinstructies, bestelt materialen, vraagt offertes aan bij leveranciers, stelt planningen op en schakelt met engineering om te kijken of de oplossingen passend en uitvoerbaar zijn.

Je werkt intensief samen met andere disciplines en subcontractors. Dit kunnen je collega’s zijn van de afdelingen Hoogspanning, Industriële automatisering, Engineering, of de Piping & Mechanical groep. Samen met het team van Projectleider en Uitvoerder draag je zorg voor het coördineren van de werkzaamheden voor uiteenlopende industriële projecten.

Wie ben jij

  • je hebt werkervaring binnen een industriële omgeving (en is het een pré indien je ervaring hebt met Electrical & Instrumentation)
  • je hebt ervaring in het lezen en interpreteren van tekeningen (blokschema's, aansluitschema's, kasttekeningen etc)
  • je hebt kennis van calculaties, materialen en documenten binnen de industrie
  • je hebt ervaring in de werkvoorbereiding, maar als je de stap wil maken richting werkvoorbereiding ontvangen wij ook graag jouw sollicitatie
  • je hebt minimaal MBO werk- en denkniveau
  • je bent communicatief vaardig op verschillende niveaus
  • je bent enthousiast en je weet je collega’s ook hierin mee te nemen

Ineo Télésécurité Services fait partie de l’entité EQUANS France. Notre agence est composée de 30 salariés, spécialisée dans les missions de télésurveillance pour de nombreux clients qui se reposent sur notre expertise pour assurer la sécurité de leurs sites.

Vos principales missions  : 

En tant qu’Opérateur en Télésurveillance, vous assurez la surveillance à distance et simultanée de plusieurs sites clients depuis un site sécurisé. Lors de chaque service, vous prenez en compte les consignes propre à chaque client.

Votre métier consiste, au sein de centre de télésurveillance, à analyser et traiter les alarmes et appels téléphoniques en ayant la réaction adaptée : détection des urgences et des anomalies, déclenchement et suivi de l'intervention sur site chez le client.

Votre profil : 

Diplômé d'un CAP, BEP ou Bac Pro, vous enregistrez 3 ans d'expérience dans le domaine de la surveillance et vous êtes titulaire d'une carte professionnelle du CNAPS (Conseil National des Activités Privées de Sécurité) à jour. 

A l'aise dans l'utilisation du pack office, au téléphone, vous avez le sens du contact et de la relation clients. 

Organisé, rigoureux, vous savez prioriser les tâches et les urgences, analyser les situations et faire preuve de réactivité.

Le poste nécessite de savoir appliquer des procédures rigoureuses et précises.

Résistant au stress, votre esprit d'équipe, vos capacités rédactionnelles (rapports d'intervention) seront de vrais atouts pour ce poste et pour évoluer au sein de notre groupe.
