EQUANS are recruiting for a Ward Host / Catering Assistant to be based at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, EH16 4SA. This is a permanent part-time role working 20 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £13,135.30 per annum and benefits package.
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday 2:30pm-6:30pm
This role includes a DS Basic check therefore ability to pass is essential
What will you deliver?
- To provide a safe, hygienic, nutritious, and timely food service for patients.
- Assisting in the delivery of a high standard of food service which meets the requirements of food hygiene legislation
- Ward host/hostess would be expected to do basic food prep if required to go down to the main kitchen (pick/pack area)
- Maintaining high standards of personal and general food hygiene as well as high standards of cleanliness in all work areas
- Ward hosts would be expected to do basic food prep when in pick and pack along with minimal cleaning duties
- Ensure that a high standard of personal grooming is maintained including wearing the required uniform and PPE provided.

Senior Project Manager

We currently have a great opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to be based in London on a full-time permanent basis.
Ideally candidates will have a firm grasp of CDM and familiarity with the RIBA stages, as well as excellent stakeholder management. Previous experience within the public sector and PFI is desirable.
The purpose of the role is to lead on projects, delivering project solutions to budget , time and quality requirements. To manage matrix managed project teams to deliver various project delivery solutions (e.g. as principle / prime contractor, management fee or under traditional contracting or design and build arrangements) effectively utilising in-house resource (white and blue collar) and sub-contract arrangements as appropriate. To assume and assert commercial control over projects allocated to deliver margins identified. To work as part of a team to build on reputation, capability and delivering efficiently to ensure the projects team maintains a strong project pipeline and develop new leads and clients.
Key activities:
- Take profit and loss responsibility for those projects allocated to you. To own each project and delivery with a high degree of attention to design, construction and financial detail. Deliver projects without LADs being applied
- From resources available, draw together matrix managed teams to deliver owned projects. These may be from a combination of in-house and out-sourced resources
- To be accountable for the service delivery in accordance with business systems, such as quality assurance, environmental management system, financial systems, administration and policies
- Through a recognised process (usually identified by the client process e.g. RIBA plan of work) create strategic, operational and tactical programmes to demonstrate how projects will be delivered. Set and manage management and client expectations through clear communications centred around programme/construction programme, budget (internal / external) and the quality of services delivered during live projects until completion and post completion assessment
- To Manage the development of detailed Work Method Statements, Risk and COSHH and CDM assessments for all work activity undertaken by in-house and contracted staff ensuring complete compliance. Maintain high and statutory compliant health and safety standards on project sites at all times
- To appoint, manage, monitor and co-ordinate consultants as required and the on site activities of all sub-contractors with regard to programme and ensuring that appropriate planning consents CDM requirements, Method Statements, Risk and COSHH Assessments and Permits to Work are in place prior to work commencing
- In accordance with contract forms, manage projects within the specified terms. Ensure risk is appropriately considered for sub-contract transfer or reviewed in conjunction with procurement / legal departments to agree risk share
- In conjunction with Purchasing Department colleagues prepare and issue documentation for schedules of rates, quotations, tenders and term contracts as appropriate. Carry out tender evaluations and check that returned documents conform to requirements
- Promote effective and efficient co-ordination and integration between the projects team(s) and other departments on the contract and wider Equans managers. Promote effective and efficient co-ordination and integration. Ensure projects delivered do not compromise TFM/PFI KPIs or render space unavailable
- Produce business approval & revue documentation for the launch of new tenders at bid stage, tender receipt and analysis stage and documentation for board ‘Bouclage’ approval to proceed to submission
- To ensure that SLAs from subcontractors are met and exceed the requirements of the TFM contract and that sub-contracts are negotiated, reviewed and renewed actively and in line with the needs of each individual project
- To ensure staff and contractors maintain the highest standards of health and safety, professionalism and customer service at all times
- To participate in out of hours management team as part of Contract business continuity plan
- Working 40 hours per week, from 08:45 to 17:45, Monday to Friday
Skills, qualifications & experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential
- Previous PFI experience is desirable
- Experience in working in a government contract/environment and a strong understanding of listed buildings
- Fully understand CDM
- Familiar with the RIBA stages
- Financially driven with ability to deliver or exceed agreed margin, understanding of business systems and adept in seeing their adherence and development. Project budgetary P&L experience and responsibility (combined on-going project values circa £5m
- Well-developed client facing and customer services skills and the ability to cope with demanding and varied customer requirements. Diplomatic yet forceful to drive projects forward achieving mutually compliant results. Strong and effective communicator able to demonstrate knowledge of all applicable legislation, regulations and standards
- Technically competent in a variety fields of project management delivery environment (e.g. as principle / prime contractor, management fee or under traditional contracting or design and build arrangements). Able to successfully deliver projects from inception to completion – end to end with a hands-on approach
- Must have a track record of successful management and delivery of projects as well as experience of successful partnership
- Previous client contact in negotiation, monitoring and presentation
- Security vetting, or the willingness to comply with the vetting requirements of the contracts (including detailed vetting if required)

Gas Contract Supervisor

The role of the Gas Supervisor is to directly manage a team of operatives across all trades in any workstream across the contract, to ensure all works are carried out safely, efficiently, to a high-quality standard, with exceptional customer care. Sustainability Compliance Officer
Equans is looking for a Sustainability Compliance Officer to join our team in Wath upon Dearne, on a permanent basis to support the Regional Sustainability Team in adhering to scheme delivery requirements in line with funding and accreditation requirements and maintaining the necessary associated accreditations.

Equans is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our team working at Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH) in Smethwick. This is a full-time, permanent role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary banding of £32,000 - £35,000 per annum, dependent upon skills and experience and benefits package.
What will you deliver?
- The candidate will be required to have proven previous experience of planned preventative and reactive maintenance of electrical infrastructure systems (single and three phase) in a NHS Environment
- The main responsibilities will include effectively performing electrical maintenance of all relevant assets, especially lighting and small power (including stock control), through following a PPM schedule and ensuring compliance in a flexible and efficient manner. There will be a requirement in completing reactive tasks that get raised
- Be able to rectify problems where appropriate (following correct procedures)
- Identify and report areas and procedures that fail to meet expected standards (Safety, Technical and Environmental)

- onderhouden en inspecteren van installaties en het uitvoeren van keuringendraaien van storingsdienst voor het oplossen van storingen aan de diverse installaties. Daarbij ben je in staat om afwijkingen te signaleren, analyseren en hier gericht op te reageren of deze te rapporteren

Dit ga je doen als Senior Calculator Werktuigbouwkunde
In jouw rol als senior calculator werktuigbouwkunde ga jij de klantvraag uitwerken tot een gedegen begroting, waarbij je de balans zoekt tussen diepgang en nauwkeurigheid afhankelijk van de verstrekte informatie en de projectfase. Het ene moment maak je een detail calculatie en het volgende moment zul je op basis van een concept ontwerp een grove begroting opzetten. Waarbij je ook de kansen en risico’s in kaart brengt en kwantificeert.
Je komt te werken binnen onze afdeling calculatie in Beek (Limburg). Binnen deze afdeling ben jij verantwoordelijk voor het calculeren van diverse projecten in de nieuwbouw en renovatie in de industrie. Deze projecten worden uitgevoerd bij interessante opdrachtgevers zoals bijvoorbeeld: Sabic, DSM, Brightlands, Lonza en Sitech.
Bij alles haal jij het beste uit jezelf, dus ook bij:
- het adviseren van de organisatie in de te volgen calculatie strategie
- het begroten van projecten op basis van een functionele vraag tot en met het calculeren van een uitgewerkt ontwerp/bestek
- het onderhouden van contacten met leveranciers en derden inclusief het aanvragen van werkzaamheden en leveringen bij leveranciers of derden
- het opzetten van risicoanalyses inclusief kwalificeren en kwantificeren van de risico’s en kansen
- het opnemen van werkzaamheden op locatie
- het optimaliseren van de begroting samen met uitvoering en sourcing
- het door ontwikkelen calculatie normen en best practices
- ontwikkelen van kengetallen voor begrotingen
Jouw werkomgeving
Equans helpt klanten in het realiseren en versnellen van de 3 grote transities, de energie,- digitale en industriële transitie. We zijn wereldleider in technische dienstverlening en maken onderdeel uit van de internationale en beursgenoteerde Boygues groep. In Nederland werken we samen met 6.000 collega’s vanuit 29 locaties.
Je komt te werken binnen Equans Zuid Nederland, waarbij je standplaats Beek is. Samen met zo’n 30 collega’s ben je verantwoordelijk voor de calculatie van projecten die te maken hebben met nieuw- en ombouw in de industrie en utiliteit.
Als calculator heb je naast klanten te maken met diverse stakeholders, zoals adviseurs, projectleiders en directievoerder etc. Buiten deze stakeholders heb je ook te maken met de wettelijke kaders en de kaders van Equans. Je werkt regelmatig gezamenlijk met anderen in tender teams om zo tot een winnende aanbieding te komen.
