Equans is recruiting for an Apprentice Mobile Electrician to be based on our HMCTS contract. You will be based from Mansfield, Nottingham but be required to travel throughout a specific area. This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.

The Apprentice Electrician will work together with the Electrical Engineers and Technical Supervisors to optimise the property conditions and quality and to ensure that the buildings are kept in clean working conditions at all times. 

The successful candidate will be working towards a Level 3 Installation and Maintenance Electrician qualification. 

What will you deliver? 

  • Carry out planned preventable maintenance (PPM) on electrical and electronic systems, plant and equipment in accordance with the PPM programme.
  • Respond in a timely manner to breakdown requests.
  • Assist with installation works involved in minor upgrading and adaptation works.
  • Carry out duties in accordance with safe working practices within statutory and Company guidelines.
  • Safely operate all types of access equipment, hand and power tools in accordance with health & safety and manufacturers’ guidelines.
  • Ensure the correct use of personal protective equipment and adherence to health & safety and infection control procedures.
  • Maintain records as appropriate.
  • Wear appropriate PPE and safety footwear at all times
  • Undertake a willingness to assist and work flexibly with other trades.
  • Ensure that there is minimum disruption to the Courts whilst carrying out work.
  • Collaborate and co-operate with the partners and colleagues to deliver a customer focused service.
  • Observe all safety instructions and wear the correct protective clothing for the task to undertaken.
  • To complete all units laid down in the formal qualification, in order to achieve the company standards
  • To attend all relevant training courses including all SHEQ courses arranged by the employer and Toolbox Talks
  • To maintain and care for all company tools
  • To ensure all areas of work are left clean and tidy at the end of the working day
  • Effective time management and capable of prioritising workloads.

    This role includes a DBS Standard check therefore ability to pass is essential.
