Apprentice Electrician

We have a great opportunity for an Apprentice Electrician to support our long term street lighting maintenance contract covering Kent. This position is based from our Sittingbourne office and will cover parts of Kent.
Key activities
- Assist qualified electricians in the installation, repair, and maintenance of street lighting assets, including columns, lanterns, cabling, and control equipment.
- Support fault-finding activities and carry out basic electrical checks under supervision.
- Follow all safety policies, risk assessments, and method statements when working on highways and electrical systems.
- Use PPE correctly and promptly report hazards, near misses, or unsafe conditions.
- Successfully complete all apprenticeship training, coursework, and on-the-job assessments within required timescales.
- Actively seek to increase knowledge of electrical principles, lighting technologies, and industry standards.
- Prepare tools, equipment, and materials needed for site tasks.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organised work areas and vehicles.
- Assist with accurate recording of work completed, materials used, and asset information using handheld devices or job sheets.
- Carry out tasks to the required technical and quality standards under the direction of a supervisor or qualified electrician.
- Report defects, asset issues, or installation concerns promptly
- Work effectively as part of a street lighting team, supporting colleagues with day-to-day tasks.
- Attend toolbox talks, team briefings, and technical training sessions as required.
Skills, qualifications & experience
- No prior industry experience required — full training will be provided.
- Demonstrated interest in electrical work, engineering, or practical hands-on tasks
- Ability to follow instructions and work within a team environment
- Basic understanding of electrical theory (voltage, current, resistance).
- Awareness of street lighting components such as lanterns, photocells, drivers, control gear, and columns.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical test equipment.
- Competence in working at height and using access equipment (e.g., ladders, MEWPs).
- Strong awareness of safe working practices, including PPE, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Ability to identify hazards on site and work safely near roads and live electrical equipment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn from mentors and supervisors.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Monday to Friday 6.30am - 8.30am

As the on-site Cleaner, you’ll keep the building clean and tidy to the highest standard of hygiene, health and safety whilst maintaining a professional manner with all members of staff and general public.
For this role you must undergo BPSS level vetting. Part of this includes DBS clearance therefore ability to pass is essential.

Lead Fire Engineer
EQUANS is looking for a Lead fire Engineer to join our team in Birmingham or London on a permanent basis. This is a fulltime role working Monday to Friday. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
The Lead Fire Engineer is a senior technical leader responsible for developing and delivering robust fire safety strategies across regeneration, retrofit, and new-build projects.
This potentially includes complex occupied refurbishments and high-rise residential schemes. The role provides strategic guidance, technical assurance, and regulatory compliance, ensuring fire safety is integrated into sustainable design and digital workflows.
What will you deliver?
Fire Safety Design, Strategy and Engineering Leadership
- Coordinate/ develop fire strategies compliant with UK Building Regulations, BS 9999, BS 7974.
- Lead fire risk assessments, smoke and egress modelling, and structural fire resistance analysis.
- Provide guidance on passive and active fire protection systems.
- Integrate fire safety into MMC and low-carbon design solutions.
- Ensure BIM integration for fire safety elements and accurate digital records.
- Collaborate with architectural, structural, and MEP teams to embed fire safety into coordinated design solutions.
Project Delivery and Risk Management
- Review and approve fire-related design documentation, specifications, and contractor submittals.
- Oversee effective fire safety implementation during construction and commissioning.

Who are we looking for?
Experience and Qualifications:
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) with IFE or equivalent.
- Degree in Fire Engineering or related discipline.
- Additional qualifications or certifications in fire risk assessment, fire modelling, or building safety (e.g. NEBOSH Fire Safety, CFPA Europe) are desirable.
- At least 10 years of experience in fire engineering, including involvement with complex projects or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience in regulatory engagement and work winning.

BIM Manager
EQUANS is looking for a BIM Manager to join our team in Manchester or London on a permanent basis. This is a fulltime role working Monday to Friday. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
The Digital Engineering and Innovation (BIM) Manager leads BIM and digital engineering delivery across EQUANS Places and Communities projects. The role ensures compliance with ISO 19650, promotes digital innovation, and integrates BIM workflows across all RIBA stages.
Deliverables will be tailored to project requirements - whether for construction, client asset information, or facilities management handover.
What will you deliver?
Digital Design and Model Coordination
- Produce and develop discipline-specific BIM models and coordinated design deliverables from RIBA Stage 2 to 5.
- Ensure design intent is accurately represented in BIM models and drawings.
- Ensure compliance with Employer’s Information Requirements (EIRs), BIM Execution Plans (BEP), Asset Information requirements (AIR), and ISO 19650.
- Manage model clash detection, geometric and data validation, and structured information outputs.
- Facilitate coordination workshops and support early-stage contractor engagement on digital delivery.
Information Management & Governance
- Integrate model and drawing workflows with Viewpoint for Projects (4P) to support collaboration, document control, and approval processes.
- Maintain and govern the Common Data Environment (CDE) for Design and Engineering Projects.
- Conduct audits, enforce version control, and ensure metadata completeness.
- Implement ISO 19650 requirements and lead compliance reviews.
Innovation and Digital Delivery
- Drive adoption of AI, digital twins, Scan-to-BIM, and automation tools.
- Champion the use of emerging digital tools (e.g., Dynamo, Synchro) for automation, planning, and insight reporting.
- Support digital platforms like Fieldview for site-based workflows, snagging, and commissioning data.
Training, Collaboration & Upskilling
- Deliver CPDs and mentor BIM/ CAD team members.
- Provide training and support on Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and digital platforms.
- Support regional teams to improve BIM integration and consistency.

Who are we looking for?
Knowledge, & Experience
- Proficient in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and CDE platforms.
- Knowledge of ISO 19650, COBie, IFC, and BS 1192 standards.
- Familiarity with scripting (Dynamo) desirable.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in BIM and/or CAD management roles, or equivalent relevant experience. .
Qualifications
- Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Technology, or equivalent.
- Certification in BIM (e.g. BSI, BRE) and AutoCAD highly desirable.
- Working towards professional accreditation (e.g. CIBSE, CIOB, ICE).

Cybersecurity Architect - SLS Cyber Customer Trust (M/F/X)
As part of its new organization and the global challenges in the field of cybersecurity, the IT Department of EQUANS is looking for :
SLS Cyber Customer Trust Architect (M/F/X)

Within the EQUANS IT department, you will be part of the Cyber Customer Trust team, that helps the EQUANS business units delivering cyber secure solutions to their customers.
This team is led by the Cyber Customer Trust director and is reporting to the Global CISO.
As the Architect in the Shared Line of Service (SLS) Cyber Customer Trust, you will mainly be tasked with assessing the cybersecurity in architectures of products created by the Equans Business Units, as well as providing global support to local cyber teams responsible for securing the service offerings of their businesses, including digital and OT. This can also include in globalizing a local product for EQUANS world wide usage. For example, assessing an existing architecture on cybersecurity aspects and advising the Business Unit on improvements. An other example: to better protect our clients' operations and data, you are involved in assisting in designing secure architectures for their applications or proposing a sustainable security plan for their projects.
In this context, your main missions and activities will include:
- Assess architectures from existing and new products from the Business Units on cybersecurity aspects and advise (and track) Business Units in any improvements.
- Define cyber guidelines and policies related to service offerings including Digital and OT delivered to our clients.
- Responsible for designing and maintaining our standardized security solutions that will enable our operational staff to conduct their activities with and be compliant to EQUANS policies.
- Develop and maintain a catalog of cyber solutions, products, and partners that can be integrated into the commercial offers including Digital and OT.
- When needed, participate in the writing of cyber offers and supporting local cyber teams, in case local skills and knowledge are absent. This includes participating in the Bid, Design and Acceptance phases of projects. These activities also demonstrate the added value of cyber activities from the launch of the SLS.
- Participate in Technology Watch to spot solutions, trends and innovations, that can be used by the EQUANS business to deliver secure solutions to EQUANS customers.
- Participate in Regulatory Watch to monitor regulations for any impact on the CCT activities or impact the EQUANS solutions used for EQUANS customers.
- Participate in a Vulnerability Disclosure Program for EQUANS developed Products, to improve security and comply with legislation (NIS2, CRA).
Your profile:
- You have a higher education degree (an Engineering degree in cybersecurity or a master's degree in computer science and networks) or a proven experience as a OT Security Consultant;
- You are recognized for your expertise in securing systems, with ideally some related certifications (CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+ or GSEC) or certifications from main security solutions related to the OT environment;
- You have a good understanding of our clients' business challenges;
- Knowledge of security information frameworks and risk management is useful (IEC 62443, ISO 27001, 27002, 27005);
- You are comfortable working in a decentralized and multicultural organization, with heterogenous maturity levels in terms of cybersecurity and architecture practices;

Risk & Compliance Analyst - SLS Cyber Customer Trust (M/F/X)

SLS Cyber Customer Trust Risk & Compliance Analyst (M/F/X)

Within the EQUANS IT department, you will be part of the Cyber Customer Trust team, that helps the EQUANS business units delivering cyber secure solutions to their customers.
This team is led by the Cyber Customer Trust director and is reporting to the Global CISO.
As a Risk & Compliance Analyst in the Shared Line of Service (SLS) Cyber Customer Trust, you will be tasked with providing global support to local cyber teams responsible for securing the service offerings of their businesses, including digital and OT. For example, to better protect our clients' operations and data, this may involve analysing the risks that apply on their projects with Equans and proposing sustainable security plans for their projects.
In this context, your main missions and activities will include:
- Conduct risk assessments on these projects/bids/contracts to identify possible risks for the EQUANS business and for the customers. This includes advising business units in improving the used solutions, and provide recommendations for them to improve their cybersecurity level.
- Conduct risk assessments on vendors and third-party products, check for compliance and assist in creating a catalog of approved vendors and OT-products.
- Build and maintain awareness material to explain the role of the CCT team and the growing importance of laws, directives and regulations in the cyber landscape (NIS2, CRA, etc.).
- Be the evangelist of the created awareness material in the different Business Units.
- Help maintaining the inventory of ongoing projects/bids between EQUANS and its clients that involve digital solutions.
- Help with the audit and compliance checks done by the other CCT risk assessors (technical audits, configuration reviews, etc.) on products, bids and contracts with the support of internal or external experts (pentesters, legal teams, etc.).
Your profile:
- You have a higher education degree (an Engineering degree in cybersecurity or a Master’s degree in Computer Science and networks) or a proven experience in governance, risk and compliance (more than 3 years) ;
- You have a good knowledge of security information frameworks and risk management (ISO/IEC 27001, 27002 et 27005, NIST, EBIOS,…);
- You have basic knowledge of the current EU regulations (CRA, NIS2, DORA) and their stakes, and want to deep-dive to help our businesses become compliant;
- You have a good understanding of our clients' business challenges;

FM Cost Coordinator
Equans is looking for a Cost Coordinator to join our team based in Speke on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £29,875 and benefits package.
Being a part of the Knowsley School contract and reporting to the Account Manager, you will coordinate of all finance based administrational support to Senior Management Team.
What will you deliver?
- Production of regular routine reports and financial statistical data for the senior management team and finance business partner.
- Regular liaison with the finance business partner relating to effective management of profit and loss.
- Coordination of financial work in progress (WIP).
- Collate and submit the monthly application for payment. Invoice once approved.
- Align monthly tasks to finance timetable. Identify and report on any deadlines that cannot be met and their financial implication.
- Control of ‘goods received’ pursuit of invoices from EQUANS supply chain.
- Investigating invoices submitted eligible for payment/dispute.
- Assisting supply chain with outstanding invoices arrears.
- Overseeing all aspects of purchase order receipting in COUPA.
- Key liaison with external and internal finance functions.
- Ensure all contract variations eligible billed at the agreed fee. In collaboration with the Project Manager.
- Actively monitor and chase debt, resolving any queries leading to non-payment.
- Carry out other duties requested by the Account Manager to maintain the effective support of the Contract Management Team.
- Maintain electronic based filing systems.
- Weekly review of potential billable items and accrual reports awaiting invoice submissions.
