Equans is recruiting for a Chef to join our team in the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, EH16 4SA. This is a full time, permanent role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is salary of £26,869.00 per annum and benefits package.

Shift Pattern: 

Monday to Friday between the hours of 630am and 7pm 7.5 hours per day

Early shift 630 till 1430

Late shift 11am till 7pm

This role includes a DS Basic check therefore ability to pass is essential

What will you deliver?

Reporting to the Head Chef/Senior Chef you produce and deliver food which is safe, hygienic, nutritious and of the highest possible quality for Staff and Visitors. The service will meet the requirements of food hygiene legislation, the Company’s Food Safety Policy, and the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) and national standards as dictated by the government’s national plan.

General Operative

Equans is a renowned energies & services contractor and a proud member of the Bouygues global industrial group. Our expertise spans the design, construction, and maintenance of buildings and critical infrastructure worldwide.

We have a great opportunity for a General Operative in Sittingbourne to support our growing Connected Cities business which focuses on street and highways lighting infrastructure projects across the UK. The role itself will focus on activities on a long term LED Street Lighting maintenance contract across Kent.

Role overview:

 

This role is for the install of columns and street furniture on the Kent TMC contract running out of Sittingbourne. Specifically this role is to work in a team of two or more and contribute with the removal and instal of columns and other associated Street Furniture.

Work includes site set up for traffic management, excavation, reinstatement and associated electrical works.  

Work will be programmed by the back office team and the supervisors in the branch will be putting the team to work on a daily basis.

Materials will be picked in advance of the work by the yard team, part of this role is to check materials have been picked according to the work to be completed. Checks to be made against the order in the clients system.

Materials to be installed on site, removed redundant equipment to be disposed of in the appropriate recycling locations in the main depot. Photos and all other required information is to be recorded on the PDA, to be added to the databases on completion of activities.

Maintenance Assistant - Mobile

We have an exciting opportunity for a Mobile Maintenance Assistant to join our facilities team working on our Greater Manchester Police maintenance contract at Cheadle police station and covering various police stations across Greater Manchester as required. This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm, plus participation in the on call rota.

Key activities:

  • Reporting to the Maintenance Manager
  • To undertake any allocated jobs as directed by Maintenance Manager, in line with requests sent via PDA/mobile devices
  • To respond promptly and efficiently to breakdowns and ensure all associated paperwork is completed in a satisfactory, accurate and prompt manner
  • To carry out general duties including support by manual labour for relocations and moves, tidying and cleaning Estates areas and Plant rooms.
  • Work alone with minimum supervision or within a team to carry out routine maintenance, repair, and cleaning activity across the estate
  • Responsible for ensuring cleaning materials and chemicals are available at all sites
  • Required to attend training programmes as necessary to meet contract requirements and for self-development purposes.
  • Working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break plus participation in the on call rota (1 in 5 which includes weekends).

Skills, qualifications & experience:

  • Experience in a maintenance role and of PPM completion is desirable
  • Good customer care and people skills
  • Ability to work well in a team or unsupervised 
  • Basic fabric handyperson skills
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures
  • Must have a full valid UK driving licence due to requirement to travel between sites across Greater Manchester

Equans is looking for an Industrial Operative to join our team in Sizewell B Power Station, Leiston, Suffolk, IP16 4UR on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

Multi Site Caretaker

Equans is looking for a Multi Site Caretaker to join our team across all Rotherham Schools, based in Venture House S60 1RF, on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £26,436.80 per annum.

Shift Pattern:

Any 8 hours between the hours of 6:00am – 22:00pm.

What will you deliver?

  • The role provides support across several education and leisure facilities where EQUANS provide services such as: maintenance; cleaning; porterage; and maintenance of the external site, including preparations for seasonal changes to the outside areas.
  • This role expects you to be a key holder and to deliver the full range of caretaking, maintenance, and ad-hoc cleaning duties, with responsibility of securing the site. You should have a keen eye for detail and be able to demonstrate a practical knowledge of DIY skills.

Enterprise Architect - Digital Workplace (M/F)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enterprise-wide Architecture Design:
    • Design and maintain the architectural framework for EQUANS Group's digital workplace solutions, ensuring alignment with the company’s overarching IT strategy.
    • Ensure coherence and sustainability of the information system throughout its evolution, with a focus on optimizing resources, performance, and cost efficiency.
    • Actively participate in defining the roadmap for the organization’s technical infrastructure, emphasizing the digital workplace while also considering network (WAN, LAN), telephony, security, data center infrastructure, and cloud solutions (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
  • Standard Definition, Management, and Enforcement:
    • Define and manage technical standards in accordance with architectural and cyber security guidelines.
    • Maintain a comprehensive technical mapping of the information system and oversee the evolution of technical architectures to foster application interoperability, availability, and security.
    • Document established standards and maintain up-to-date documentation.
    • Conduct audits of the organization’s IT infrastructures and assess the effectiveness of existing processes; develop improvement recommendations based on audit findings and industry best practices.
  • Moderate the Digital Workplace Design Authority:
    • Serve as the moderator and steward for the Design Authority focused on the digital workplace, ensuring that architectural decisions are in harmony with the overall IT strategy and meet business requirements.
    • Present viable solutions and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Evaluate and Integrate Innovative Solutions:
    • Stay informed on technological advancements and provide strategic guidance to design teams regarding technical choices and their impact on existing architectures.

    • Assess infrastructure needs in collaboration with IT architects and suggest technical solutions that guarantee service quality and continuity while adhering to architectural guidelines.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Actively engage as a team player within a broader architecture community, fostering collaboration among peers and contributing to the sharing of knowledge and best practices.
    • Work closely with the Cyber Technical Office to ensure that all architectural decisions are aligned with cyber security constraints and best practices, thereby strengthening the organization’s security posture.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Min 5 years of experience in digital workplace architecture within complex, multi-localized, and matrixed organizations, preferably in a European or international context.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in:
      • Collaborative Tools: Microsoft 365, Intune, and related desktop environments.
      • Architecture Frameworks: Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks.
      • Cloud Solutions: Azure and AWS.
    • Desirable Skills:
      • Networking: Expertise in MPLS, SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, LAN/WAN.

Part time Morning Cleaner

Equans is looking for a Part time Morning Cleaner to join our team in Bexley Magistrates Court Norwich Place, Bexleyheath DA6 7ND on a permanent basis working 10 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £12.21 per hour and benefits package.

Shift Pattern:

Monday - Friday 6.00 - 8.00

What will you deliver?

As the on-site Cleaner, you’ll keep the building clean and tidy to the highest standard of hygiene, health and safety whilst maintaining a professional manner with all members of staff and general public. 

For this role you must undergo BPSS level vetting. Part of this includes DBS clearance therefore ability to pass is essential.

Cleaning Supervisor

Equans is looking for a Cleaning Supervisor to join our team in Heysham 1 Power Station Morecambe LA3 2XQ on a permanent basis working 37 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary per annum and benefits package.

Shift Pattern: 

Monday to Thursday 07:45 - 16:15 , 30 minute break

Friday 07:45 -12:45, no break

What will you deliver?

To lead & motivate a multi-skilled workforce delivering a wide range of services.  You will be responsible for a team of domestic cleaners and will be responsible for all cleaning activities in this area. 
Must be an effective team leader focused on customer care with a “can do” attitude with the flexibility and adaptability to lead the team in a changing business environment.

Service Delivery Manager - Group Applications (M/F)

Service Delivery Manager (M/F)

The Corporate Information Technology organization is in charge of defining the IT vision & strategy for EQUANS. Based on the main axes of development for the IT function its mission is to implement the strategy to create the expected value through the delivery of various programs. This is close partnership with the businesses.

Reporting to the Group Apps Service Line, you will assist the different Business domain lead and CIO’s in the implementation of Business strategy and IT by also taking into consideration group strategy and technology evolution. You will participate in the vision and performance of the Corporate application and IT architectures. You will ensure end to end integration of the whole application portfolio for the different Corporate domains (HR, Procurement, Communication, Sales ops…)

In this context, your main activities will include:

  • Responsible of SLS suppliers (Data / Group Apps)
  • Act as bridge between the Side partner, the business and the final users
  • Manage and Coordinate work on:
    • Operation : SLA and objectives monitoring to ensure they are met, including compliance with costs and deadlines. Follow-up incident management and root cause analysis. Ensure seamless operation with other SLS and suppliers
    • Coordination and monitoring of remedial plans and actions taken by suppliers and Equans
    • Coordination and monitoring of change management and user adoption plans
    • Contract and market evolution, supporting Vendor Management
    • Coordinate Compliance and risk management for Group Apps (Resilience, BCP…)
  • Main interface for Vendor Management:
    • Participate to Vendor Management actions and apply their processes.
    • Follow compliance and risk tracking with Side(s) partner(s)
  • Follow suppliers' performance & improvement, deliver key inputs on performance. KPI monitoring
  • Main interface for:
    • Participate and represent SLS Group Apps on weekly and monthly meeting with Side partner, CAB, GCAB and Cyber operational committee
  • • Manage and coordinate work on:
    • Remediation plan and actions needed for patching, Cyber security action and others for the “BU” Corporate
    • Coordinate and follow up with task for change management and user adoption for Corporate “BU” level

You will be a key member of the Group Apps Service line of EQUANS

Profile we are looking for :

  • You have an Engineer degree in IT with professional experience at least 10 years in an international, complex and high demanding environment
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in large scale global transformation programs and Architecture Management
  • Change management experience is a plus to coordinate on technical challenges we could face
  • Basic or intermediate knowledge on SAP and SaaS Applications will be appreciated
  • You know the industry specific topics related to architecture.
  • You have an ability to lead diverse teams in distributed environments.
  • You have Strong leadership skills and effective communication.
  • Fluent English is essential.

Occasional travelling within the EQUANS perimeter (e.g., France, European, International) is to be considered.


Electrical T&I Supervisor

Equans is looking for an Electrical T&I Supervisor to join our team in East Kilbride on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary banding of £39,000 - £41,820 per annum, dependent upon skills and experience, company vehicle and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

  • Report directly to the Technical Services Manager with responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the electrical testing and inspection contract for the Northern region, including development of the contract
  • Operate and maintain the plant at the sites identified above in line with existing procedures, thereby fulfilling site health, safety, environmental, quality and customer service targets. This will include identifying areas for continual improvement
  • Supervise and carry out scheduled Electrical testing and Inspection maintenance tasks including but not limited to Emergency Lighting, ECIR, Illumination Levels, Infra-Red, Motors, PAT, Static Discharge, Lightening Protection. To carry out repairs and operations of equipment and services in accordance with best practice
  • Ensure that all works under his/her control are effectively carried out to ensure that any third-party contractors who carry out work on the site do so in a safe and professional manner and abide by the relevant Company procedures and site-specific procedures where applicable
  • Ensure that works are conducted in line with Company Safe Systems of Work and the site Permit to Work system, ensuring adequate procedures and processes are in place
  • Complete PPM and reactive works activities in accordance with contract requirements, and in line with company competency appointment(s)
