DEPUTY COMMERCIAL MANAGER / QUANTITY SURVEYOR in large construction Nuclear projects
Based In Bristol (England)
Description of the role:
For NEC Contracts scheme and having a Quantity Surveyor degree, the Deputy commercial manager will have the prime objective to support Project commercial Manager by undertaking the
- Forensic Claims and disputes preparation
- Actively participate to commercial discussions with the end client.
- Liaise with Project Controls for the periodic review of
o Estimate at completion (EAC),
o Estimate to Completion (ETC),
o Budget At completion (BAC),
o 12 months lookahead Cashflow. - Work alongside clients for establishing Compensation Events quotes with acceptable conditions (feasibility studies to ensure a proposal will work · estimate material quantities, costs and liabilities limitations)
- Identify commercial project risks and develop appropriate responses in compliance with NEC mechanisms.
- Liaise with risks manager for ensuring perfect visibility and endorsement by end client of anticipated risks.
- Maintain at any time up to date the project Compensation Events, claims, and disputes
register.
Deliverables:
- Adhoc memorandum of claims.
- BatNa (Best alternative to a Negotiate Agreement) analysis.
- Minutes of meeting Discussions preparation.
- Scenario and tactics reports.
- Animate governance review of CE quotes and claims memorandums.
- CE and Claims register maintenance.
Profile:
- 10+ years experience in large scale construction projects (in Nuclear would be a plus).
- Ideally with Engineering Technical background.
- NEC Proven Experience.
- Quantity Surveyor chartered degree.
- Forensic claims and disputes experience.
- Fluent English.
