Equans is looking for an Account Director to join our team in Manchester on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.
The Account Director will be responsible for the quality of services and the business plan on an ongoing basis and will ensure that we reach optimal service delivery and deliver continuous improvement throughout the life of the contract. Attend the Strategic Partnering Board on a quarterly basis and the Operational Delivery Board meetings monthly as well as providing a regular senior management presence in support of the management team
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Account Director will be the senior lead for communicating and delivering the strategic direction across the contract.
What will you deliver?
- Work closely with the Executive Director, the project management office (PMO), the Lifecycle team, the SHEQ team, and other supporting teams to deliver the lifecycle and variations works across the contract.
- Provide leadership across all elements of the Manchester Joint Hospitals Contract with a strong focus on project delivery, commercial matters and client relationship management.
- Maintains strong customer experience and satisfaction
- Builds and sustain collaborative relationships with all stakeholders in Project Co, Sodexo and the Trust
- Leads on all commercial and financial negotiations with Project Co in line with the company Delegated Levels of Authority (DLA)
- Develops and maintain an annual Life Cycle plan, short and long term Life Cycle plan in collaboration with our central Life Cycle team.
- Ensures the smooth delivery of Life Cycle and variation projects supported by the PMO
- Drives continuous improvement and innovation
- Sustains strong financial performance with full P&L responsibility
- Monitors the performance of Sodexo ensuring the assets under our Life Cycle responsibility are maintained in accordance with expected standards and set life is optimised
- CDM oversight and responsibility as the Principal Contractor
- Health & Safety planning and auditing
- To ensure compliance with Company Policies and Procedures
- Supply chain development and management for the site
Health, Safety, Quality and the Environment
- Develops and maintains a behavioural Health and Safety culture throughout the project.
- Shares best practice across the wider business
- Ensures all sites are operating and audited (by the SHEQ and compliance team) in line with the BMS and Local operating procedures
- Carries out regular behavioural Health and Safety coaching at site level.
Commercial, Finance & Contract Delivery
- Develops challenging but achievable budgets for the operations including profit improvement plans for the project.
- Ensures financial and operational compliance in line with annual budgets set.
- Works as part of the Senior Leadership Team responsible for developing an efficient organisational structure, strategy setting, client relationship building, business development and project management.
- Leads, directs and motivates the Equans team to enable contribution to the best of their ability and maximise their potential
Business Growth
- Supports any business plans for the project that delivers profitable growth for the project.
- Develops project growth through capital project works and other projects in line with the company business objectives and contract deliverables
What can we offer you?
- Experience of Project Delivery in a Healthcare environment as well as outsourced deliveries.
- Significant experience operating at a senior level delivering contract services and excel in relationship management.
- Excellent commercial and financial acumen including previous experience of PFI projects
- Experience of performance related contracts and management systems
- Good presentation, influencing and motivation skills, with experience of managing a team
- Strong IT skills and competent with Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
- Experience of managing contract finances including P&Ls, WIP, etc.
- Ideally qualified to degree level or equivalent experience at Account Management or Director level.
