Cleaning Supervisor

Equans is looking for a Mobile Cleaning Supervisor to join our team, covering the Cheshire West and Chester area, with base locations in Ellesmere Port and Winsford.

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week, with a salary of £28,000 per annum, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Shift Pattern:

Monday to Friday, with flexible working hours to meet operational requirements. Shifts may be scheduled between 5:00am and 8:00pm.

On-Call Requirement: The post holder is required to provide on-call support between 5:00am and 8:00pm, Monday to Friday, to ensure service continuity and respond to operational requirements as necessary. 

What will you deliver?

The Mobile Cleaning Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and delivering high-quality cleaning services across corporate and council buildings. The role involves supervising and supporting cleaning staff, organising work schedules, carrying out inspections, maintaining health and safety standards, managing supplies, and responding to customer and operational requirements. The Supervisor will also provide practical cleaning support when required, report issues promptly, and help develop and motivate the team to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all building users.

Who are we looking for?

• Previous experience of supervising or managing a team, with the ability to motivate, support, and develop staff to achieve high performance standards.
• Basic IT proficiency, including the use of email, reporting systems, and Microsoft Office applications. Further training will be provided where required.
• A good understanding of workplace standards, policies, and procedures, with the ability to implement and ensure compliance across the team.
• Knowledge and experience of Health and Safety legislation and safe working practices within a cleaning or facilities management environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads, manage resources effectively, and work under pressure when necessary.
• A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to use initiative and resolve issues effectively.
