Equans is looking for an Electrician to join our team in Somerset at Hinkley Point B on a permanent basis for our EDF contract. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
General Overview:
The Electrician is responsible for delivery of all aspects of Electrical work that falls under the responsibility of Equans. This will consist of project related work, testing routines, enhancement work and preventative maintenance routines. All carried out within strict safety, quality, time and cost parameters.

• To work as part of a team of electricians undertaking electrical maintenance and installation works.
• Manage time effectively to ensure tasks are handled accurately and on time ensuring a high standard of work to the client.

• Develop effective working relationships with appropriate parties.

• Overcome challenging situations.
Complexity:
• Responsible for adherence to the work week plan, minor works and completion of help desk requests.
• Comply with all relevant H&S Regulations.
• Ability to work diligently and proactively whilst adhering to strict safety controls and work processes.
Qualifications or Required Experience:
• Relevant electrical qualifications or equivalent (NVQ3 AM2, City & Guilds 236 Part 1&2, 18th Edition).
• A minimum of two years’ qualified experience delivering electrical works.
• Experience of operating in a heavy industry or nuclear environment.
• Preferable experience in working from Mobile Platforms inc’ IPAFF qualification or equivalent.
• Willingness to complete site related training requirements.
• Team player with excellent communication and customer skills.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• Liaise with line manager on any day to day issues.
