Equans is looking for a Multi-skilled Civils Operative to join our team in Taunton, Somerset on a permanent basis for our EDF contract. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

General Overview:  
• Support the delivery of our repairs and maintenance services 
• Specific objectives and deliverables will be agreed as part of the performance and development review (PDR) process, the points below are a summary of your main duties and responsibilities.

• Develop effective working relationships with appropriate parties on Station.
• Be a team player with good communication skills.
• Overcome challenging situations.
• Carry out relevant trade duties on responsive and planned works as requested by Supervisors 
• To carry out associated building works to specification as instructed either individually or as part of the team. (Fire door maintenance / Building fabric upkeep / General maintenance on buildings inside and out.
• To work in accordance with the information, instruction and training given safely and efficiently and to inform the Working Supervisor of any potential safety hazards not adequately controlled.
• Complete timesheets and other relevant documentation to the satisfaction of your Supervisor.
• Use authorised plant & equipment provided with due care and attention and as Supervised.

You will need to demonstrate : –
• Use equipment safely and effectively
• Following instructions
• Selecting the right materials for a job
• Understanding technical drawings and specifications
• Meet H&S site requirements
• Work in confined space environments
• Select and evaluate materials for the job and looking for defects
• Interpret requests but meeting standards    

Qualifications or Required Experience:  
 2+ years in a similar role
 NVQ Level 4 Carpenter Joiner or equivalent (SCQF)
