Equans is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Westminster, London on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package. 

A role has become available on a prestigious government facilities management contract for a mechanical engineer with a water bias. The successful candidate will be required to have proven previous experience of planned preventative and reactive maintenance and their primary task will be to perform works on mechanical systems; including management of the domestic and closed water systems, plumbing, air conditioning, pressure systems and will be required to assist the team with building fabric and electrical systems.

What will you deliver? 

  • To perform the complete range of Mechanical Engineer (Water) tasks as required or directed by management
  • To be knowledgeable of and to work to the current regulations, codes of practice, Health & Safety regulations, and all safety rules both Equans and Statutory
  • To understand the operation of water systems and to correctly apply this knowledge and understand during the performance of Estates Services maintenance and testing activities
  • Ensure all PPM work is carried out effectively in compliance with maintenance instructions
  • To assist in ensuring that immediate corrective action is taken in the event of emergencies
  • To provide as requested by management reports, calculations, and recommendations for the correct and efficient running of all plant and equipment

Who are we looking for? 

 

  • City & Guilds or equivalent NVQ in plumbing preferable
  • City & Guilds or equivalent NVG in mechanical engineering
  • Knowledge and previous experience of building services
  • 18th Edition Test & Inspection
  • Full Clean Driving licence
  • L8 qualified
