What if you could lead a team of communication and marketing professionals while making a real impact on Equans’ branding and employer image? 

As Head of Communication & Marketing you are responsible for leading and managing the Communication team (10 people) and establishing the Marketing team (focused on market intelligence and offer management). The role is crucial in defining and executing the company’s communication, branding, and marketing strategies to support business goals and enhance visibility.

You are active in Brussels.

Zoom on the key responsibilities:

  • internal communication:
    • define internal communication strategy aligned with the company’s strategic objectives, manage internal channels (intranet, newsletters, etc.), and organize internal events
  • employer branding:
    • collaborate with HR teams to strengthen employer branding and awareness, create internal and external campaigns, and manage the Equans jobsite
  • branding:
    • implement global branding strategies at the local level, ensure adherence to branding guidelines, and manage local/historical and specialties brands
  • marketing:
    • support business departments in developing value proposition, market intelligence, pricing, marketing materials, organize client events, and coordinate trade shows/exhibitions
  • digital:
    • manage the corporate website (technical and content aspects), oversee social media platforms, and execute social media campaigns
  • media relations:
    • manage media relations and act as the company spokesperson, work with the PR agency to develop a more proactive press approach
  • KPI & budget:
    • track communication KPIs to optimize impact and manage an operational budget of approximately €2 million
  • internal relations:
    • collaborate with the corporate communication team and maintain regular contact with communication managers in other countries
  • ExCom participation:
    • regularly attend the Belux Executive Committee as a permanent guest

What do you need to excel in this function?

  • min. 10 years of experience in a communication role within the industrial B2B services sector
  • strong experience in people management
  • strong diplomatic skills and the ability to work in a matrix environment (Belux vs. corporate)
  • ability to write strategic messages and adapt them to a diverse workforce (from blue collar workers to senior management)
  • a continuous improvement mindset to optimize communication and marketing processes
  • fluency in French, Dutch and English
