Equans is looking for a Mechanical Technician (Water) to join our team at Sandwell General Hospital and Birmingham City Hospital (Retained Estate) on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
What will you deliver?

Perform the complete range of Mechanical Technician (Water) tasks as required or directed by management

Be knowledgeable of and to work to the current regulations, codes of practice, Health & Safety regulations, and all safety rules both Equans and Statutory

Understand the operation of water systems and to correctly apply this knowledge and understand during the performance of Estates Services maintenance and testing activities

Interpret and work from all instructions, drawings, and specifications appropriate to his/her own trade, without supervision

Ensure all PPM work is carried out effectively in compliance with maintenance instructions

Maintain records and logbooks, ensuring they are kept up to date and available for inspection

Record information as required for the operation of Maximo or similar system

Take part in out of hours on call as per business needs

After appropriate training, work off tower scaffolding, MEWP’s, ladders, and step ladders and within confined spaces

Who are we looking for?

Previous experience of working within a health care environment (desirable)
-
NVQ or C&G Level 2 Heating/Vent/Plumbing
-
NVQ or C&G Level 3 Heating/Vent/Plumbing (desirable)
-
Legionella/TMV/Disinfection awareness and training
-
HTM 04 RP/CP training (desirable)
This role includes a DBS Standard check therefore ability to pass is essential.
