Maintenance Craftsperson

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance (M&E) Craftsperson to join our facilities team based at the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford.  This is a permanent full-time position working from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday.

Key Activities:

• Reporting to the Technical Services Manager
• To provide technical engineering support for the Hard FM Services department and carry out preventative maintenance to deadline plus maintain paperwork to support PPM activities
• To respond to reactive and emergency faults and conduct reactive maintenance work to ensure compliance with KPI’s
• To manage Contractors as necessary
• Working 40 hours per week from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday

Skills & Qualifications:

• Must hold a recognised electrical or mechanical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 2 (theory and practice) in a relevant electrical or mechanical discipline with suitable industry experience.
• Experience in building services is required
• Willingness to attain cross skilling and to undertake training and qualify as an AP as required
• IT Literate
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Demonstrate good planning, organising and prioritising skills
• Ability to show examples of using initiative and judgement to resolve problems
• Experience in a Healthcare environment is advantageous
• Must have a good understanding of health and safety best practice; formal training an advantage.
