Equans in Brussels is looking for an Insurance Manager.

As an experienced Insurance Manager, you are responsible for the operational management of our insurance portfolio. You assist in concluding, maintaining, and updating insurance policies and act as the point of contact for internal departments and external partners. With your knowledge and experience, you ensure that our organization is well protected against financial risks and that claims are handled efficiently.

Focus on your tasks and responsibilities:

• management of insurance policies:
  • support the administration and maintenance of existing insurance contracts
  • ensure timely renewal, adjustment, and optimization of policies
  • analyze insurance documentation to ensure compliance and completeness
• claims handling and reporting:
  • coordinate claims from notification to settlement
  • maintain contact with insurers, brokers, and internal stakeholders regarding the progress of claims
  • verify claim payouts and report results
• advice and support:
  • advise internal departments on insurance questions and risks
  • assist in risk analyses and make proposals for additional insurance coverage
• relationship management:
  • maintain good contacts with insurance companies, brokers, and other external parties
  • function as a point of contact for questions about insurance coverage, terms, and procedures
• reporting and administration:
  • gather and report data on claims and insurance costs
  • ensure accurate and clear administration of insurance files

You report to the Insurance Manager/Team Leader Insurance within the Finance/Finance Operations/Risk & Insurance Management department.

What do you need to succeed in this role?

• a completed bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as risk management, insurance…
• 3 years of experience in a similar role within insurance, claims management, or risk management
• in-depth knowledge of insurance products (e.g., property or commercial insurance
• solid basic knowledge of insurance terms and regulations
• strong in organizing and managing multiple files simultaneously
• an analytical ability to quickly grasp complex information
• accurate, structured, and solution-oriented
• proactive and independent, with a hands-on mentality
• customer-oriented and team-oriented
• excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• good knowledge of French, Dutch, and English
