Position Overview: 

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Expert specializing in energy projects systems to protect and enhance the security of critical infrastructure. This role focuses on securing high voltage substations, solar power plants, SCADA systems, power plant controllers, and energy management systems (EMS). You will develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity measures to safeguard operations from evolving threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cybersecurity strategies for SCADA, power plant controllers, and EMS.
  • Assess vulnerabilities and mitigate cyber risks in high voltage substations and solar power plants.
  • Ensure compliance with NERC CIP, IEC 62443, and other industry standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments, penetration testing, and incident response for energy systems.
  • Implement security protocols for networked industrial control systems (ICS).
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security into system architectures.
  • Monitor and respond to cybersecurity threats targeting energy infrastructure.
  • Train personnel on best practices for cybersecurity in power systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in the field of cybersecurity.
  • Experience in Energy systems or critical infrastructure cybersecurity will be considered an asset.
  • Expertise in SCADA security, power plant controllers, EMS, and high voltage substation protection.
  • Knowledge of ICS/OT security frameworks (e.g., NIST, IEC 62443).
  • Experience with firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and endpoint security solutions.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, encryption, and secure remote access.
  • Certification such as CISSP, GICSP, or CISM is a plus.
