EQUANS are looking for an Electrical Apprentice to develop their skills and knowledge to transition eventually into an Electrical Craftsperson. This will be an Apprenticeship for our Pinderfields & Pontefract Hospital contract in Wakefield – this will become a permanent position working 37.5 hours per week. General Overview:  
We are looking for someone willing to learn and actively develop their knowledge, skills, and experience to complete Electrical qualifications. This person will develop onsite experience through assisting and learning from Electrical Craftsman, Technicians and Subcontractors. This will include learning about electrical and repair and maintenance work within healthcare.

Complexity:
•Be actively involved in the learning, personal development, and apprenticeship training
•To assist in maintenance repairs and installation of electrical systems within the Hospital.
•To be willing to learn to interpret design drawings, diagrams, manufacturers specifications and instructions
•Maintain and care for all company tools
•Ensure that the services provided are to the highest quality/standard with due recognition of client and customer requirements and ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with EQUANS customer care values and Equal Opportunities Policies
•An excellent can-do attitude in wanting to learn and develop whilst doing so safely within our electrical safe systems of work.

Pay Grade
•1st Year salary is £22308
•2nd Year – £24375* (subject to internal Equans pay review)
•3rd Year – £26325* (subject to internal Equans pay review)

Qualifications or Required Experience:
• Basic education to GCSE/’O’ Level in Maths and English or equivalent.
• Previous experience of general maintenance is beneficial.
• Previous experience in a similar role desirable, although not essential 
• C&G Certificate – Inspection and testing of Portable Electrical Appliances is desirable. 
• Must have (or be able to obtain) Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) clearance.
