We have a great opportunity for a High Voltage Delivery Manager that will be responsible for the successful delivery of the design, construction, testing, commissioning and maintenance of large-scale Solar PV, Solar Canopies, Battery Storage, Electric Vehicle Charging Points, and Hydrogen projects.
The role focuses on the High Voltage components and associated processes in accordance with client contract specifications, company procedures and safe systems of work.
Key Activities:
- Support the HV Engineering Manager in delivering the High Voltage grid connections for all new projects to client, DNO/iDNO and company policies and standards.
- Take responsibility for delivering assigned projects from the late design stage through construction, commissioning, energisation and generation stage to achieve project completion
- Assist in initial design specification for procurement of equipment ranging from full High Voltage Substation design to Inverter HV and LV components.
- Manage the relationship between Clients, ICP’s and Contractors ensuring the information and programme deliverables are clearly communicated and understood within the team and wider business.
- Oversee the Power Generating Module Documentation process to achieve G99/G100 compliance and approval from DNO’S. Work with ICP’s and contractors to review and collate all study reports/documentation and submit complete PGMD to DNO in line with project programmes to achieve key project milestones.
- Achieve High Voltage Authorised Person status under BYES Electrical Safety Rules and perform Senior Authorised Person duties during the construction and commissioning stages of assigned projects.
- Provide leadership and support to all Authorised Persons (Electrical) for the safe system of work.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, reporting on project progress by attending the daily progress meetings.
- Mentor and train prospective Authorized Persons (Electrical) and assist in developing new HV procedures and processes. Identify training needs and provide feedback to senior managers and directors.
Skills, qualifications & experience:
- Existing SAP Authorisation at 33kV on renewable energy projects
- Electrical Engineering qualification to HNC level (equivalent experience would be considered)
- Inverter Manufacturer Training Certification,
- Project delivery experience on MW scale generation projects
