Equans is looking for a Senior Operations Manager (Security) to join our team in London on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, car allowance, bonus and benefits package.
The post holder will lead and enhance the reputation of the Security, Reception and Support Services including Helpdesk and Pass Office on the 2MS contract.
To ensure the effective delivery of services including Security, Reception and Support Services including Helpdesk and Pass Office services across the contract and co-ordinate their work to provide exemplary service provision to the Authority against the requirements of the PFI contract.
To operate profit centres with commercial and financial expediency to ensure the optimum efficiency.
What will you deliver?
- To be responsible for the delivery of all associated Security services (Security, Reception and sub-contracted services) together with Helpdesk and Pass office in line with contract specification and to meet the requirements of all performance measuring criteria (AIs/KPIs)
- To be accountable for the service delivery of the services under remit in accordance with business systems, such as quality assurance, environmental management system, financial systems, administration and policies
- To ensure that all services are delivered to the specification of the 2 Marsham Street PFI contract ensuring all changes, developments and additional services are recorded accordingly with the commercial activity of the contract
- To be an integral part of the Senior Management team at 2 Marsham Street contract and work alongside the GM and SMT in a manner consistent with the Company’s mission, aims, beliefs and FM best practice. Deputise for the GM as required
- Work collaboratively with the Authority Estates team, Government Department Security and the SPV to ensure the service delivered meets with the expectations of all stakeholders
- To be responsible for monitoring and tracking of relevant Key Performance Indicators and the self-reporting protocols of the Security service in accordance with PFI contract
- To be responsible for ensuring that all customer facing services meet the Authority’s expectations, within contract and budget parameters. Lead and manage customer contact, to ensure that the highest standards of quality, customer care, pro-activity and professionalism are delivered
- To be responsible for the financial performance of the services under remit as defined by line management, against budget and procedures. Prepare, manage and achieve annual budget for services
- The effectively manage all HR related issues for staff ensuring the close liaison with the contract’s HR Manager to ensure that all issues are dealt with in accordance to company procedures and timescales. i.e. Sickness, Disciplinary, Appraisals, Recruitment and Welfare
- To establish and maintain a training and development plan on an individual level and strategic organisational level
- To ensure the effective management of items such as COSHH, PPE and H&S ensuring industry legislation and company quality systems are adhered to and that these areas are managed to the very highest standard at all times
- To conduct meetings with the client and staff as required by the specification of the contract and by the GM on a regular basis
- To foster a harmonious working relationship with other contract Service Managers and their retrospective areas
- To develop business opportunities within and external to the contract where appropriate
- Provide regional support and look to integrate effectively with other Equans contracts for mutual benefit where appropriate
- To provide all necessary management reports on services, and output information from services to ensure the effective and timely production of monthly reports and information required for meetings

Who are we looking for?
- Proven background in Facilities Management
- Previous experience with PFI
- Commercial awareness
- Ability to show understanding of Local Authority legislation
- High level of verbal, written and numeric skills and must be computer literate.
- Must be able to work with all stakeholders and operational staff, be self-motivating, able to work on own initiative, liaise and delegate effectively with staff operating in a multi-disciplinary environment
