What if you could be the key player in bringing complex industrial mechanical construction projects to life?  

As a Technical Engineer in our DES section, you’ll carry out essential technical studies and oversee the engineering process from start to finish. Whether you’re based in Villers-le-Bouillet, Dessel, or Grimbergen, your expertise will help shape innovative solutions in the nuclear sector. 

Ready to lead the charge in technical innovation? Here’s what your role involves: 

  • study technical files to assess project feasibility
  • carry out structural estimates to dimension the work to be built
  • define the processes and methods required for the construction of projects
  • provide calculated results to the drafting teams to aid in plan production
  • plan the execution of the work
  • monitor and follow up on all technical aspects of a specific project during its engineering and execution phases
  • ensure the project meets customer, technical, HSEQ, and financial targets
  • work closely with project engineers, the drafting team, and other collaborators
  • oversee subcontractors, analyze their offers technically, and track their progress
  • report directly to the Project Manager and make recommendations to enhance the organization’s overall performance 

You’re exactly what we’re looking for if you bring: 

  • an engineering degree in mechanics or electromechanics
  • relevant experience in a similar role, with a nuclear environment being a plus
  • solid understanding of mechanical concepts, with a bonus for experience in the nuclear sector
  • strong knowledge of building standards
  • proficiency in technical calculations
  • experience in computer-aided design (CAD)
  • general knowledge in related fields: nuclear, radioprotection, chemistry, electricity, electromechanics, automation, hydraulics
  • affinity with IT and Office tools
  • the ability to thrive in a multitasking environment
  • strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • a rigorous, curious, and creative mindset
  • a budget, performance, and results-oriented approach
  • fluency in Dutch, French, and English (German is a plus)

About the Department 

The Department Specialized Nuclear Services, part of the Division ‘Energy Transition & Integrated Solutions,’ operates within Equans’ Industry segment. This department includes three sections: Proximity, Nuclear Contracting, and Design, Engineering & (Fuel) Solutions, generating a turnover of €30M with a team of 400 people. Our mission is to deliver comprehensive solutions to the nuclear sector, encompassing onsite technical services, nuclear logistics, decontamination projects, and the design and construction of nuclear packaging and tooling.
