Equans is looking for a Mobile Janitor to join our Team working across North Lanarkshire Schools, Bellshill, ML4 3LR on a permanent basis. This is a full- time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

Shift Pattern: 

Typical shift times are as below:

Primary School Shifts – over 2 week period

5 days / 5½ days over 7 with 30 minute lunchbreak

Early Shift – Monday to Friday 07:00 – 15:00

Back Shift – Monday to Friday 14:00 – 21:15
Back Shift – Saturday 08:00 – 12:15

High School Shifts – over 2 week period

5 days over 7 with 30 minute lunchbreak

Early Shift - Monday to Friday 07:00 – 15:00

Mid Shift – Monday to Wednesday 08:00 – 16:00
Mid Shift – Saturday 09:00 – 16:15
Mid Shift – Sunday 09:00 – 16:15

Back Shift – Monday to Friday 14:00 – 22:00

  • Full Driving license is required

What will you deliver?

  • The role requires the post holder to carry out the Janitors duties on any North Lanarkshire Schools site as required. The post holder must have a high degree of flexibility as they could be asked to work different shifts on different sites at any time.
  • Safe opening and closing of premises, including patrol and inspection through emergency procedures as appropriate the making secure and cleaning up of the premises.
  • Liaise with Police in the event of break-in or fire and carrying out of laid down emergency procedures in these circumstances.

Maintenance Operative


Equans currently has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Operative to join our facilities team at Southmead Hospital in Bristol.  This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 0700 to1530 / 1000 to 1830, 40 hours per week, shift times alternating weekly. What will you deliver? 

  • Reporting to the Operations Manager
  • To undertake maintenance of the building, including both PPM and reactive maintenance, and new installation tasks, as directed by the PPM schedule and management using appropriate trade skills
  • To order materials and services as required using ordering system and updating records, certify satisfactory delivery / completion
  • To oversee specialist contractors
  • Working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 0700 to1530 / 1000 to 1830 (shift times alternating weekly),

 

Who are we looking for?

  • Current M&E qualifications, such as City & Guilds / BTEC National Diploma / NVQ 2 or equivalent in a relevant electrical or mechanical trade discipline are desirable
  • Experience in building services is required
  • Willingness to attain cross skilling and to undertake training
  • General handyperson / building skills are essential
  • Good IT skills
  • Flexibility, good customer service and communication skills are also vital
  • Good knowledge of Health and Safety procedures, formal training an advantage

Electrician


Equans is looking for an Electrician to join our team at Stobhill Hospital, Glasgow on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is competitive salary and in addition you will receive an excellent benefits package.

We are seeking a skilled Electrician with a recognised apprenticeship and certification in electrical maintenance. Reporting to the Facilities Team Leader, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe, continuous operation and maintenance of electrical supplies, building systems, plant, equipment, fabric, and grounds across our healthcare contracts.

What will you deliver?

  • Perform planned and reactive electrical maintenance, repairs, and minor project works involving building systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms, AHUs, water systems, medical gas systems, and pressure equipment.
  • Work in strict compliance with EQUANS safety rules and Scottish Health Technical Memoranda (SHTM), including confined spaces and medical gas standards.
  • Act as an Appointed Person (after training) for electrical safety procedures and issue permits-to-work by preparing method statements and risk assessments.
  • Respond promptly to unplanned events within Service Level Agreement timeframes to minimize service disruption and financial penalties.
  • Collaborate effectively with Facilities Team Leaders and external contractors regarding plant or equipment issues and assist in procurement when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of completed work including test certificates, reports, and task assessments.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in an organized and safe manner.
  • Participate in an on-call rota supporting 24/7 service coverage and be prepared for occasional travel to other sites as required.
  • Promote good teamwork, support colleagues, and uphold EQUANS' high standards in client interaction, particularly with NHS representatives.
  • Undertake ongoing training and development to enhance skills and fulfill business needs.

Who are we looking for?

  • Must have successfully completed a recognised electrical apprenticeship and have previous experience in a similar role carrying out electrical maintenance duties. Hospital maintenance experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Be competent to undertake/assist work on the type of building service systems and equipment for which the appointment is sought.
  • Be familiar with the type of systems and equipment on which work is required to be undertaken.
  • Possess technical knowledge and sufficient experience to avoid any danger that may be presented by the work to be undertaken.
  • Have an adequate knowledge of and within the preceding three years have received training in first aid (including CPR Training). If not held, training will be given.
  • Desirable but not essential to have some knowledge of all the relevant Scottish Health Technical Memoranda (SHTM) and to work within Permit to Work procedures as appropriate SHTM 06 - 01, BSRIA, L8, pressure systems Regulations 2000, etc).
  • This role includes a Disclosure Scotland PVG check therefore ability to pass is essential.

Security Officer


Equans is looking for a Security Officer to join our team in Westminster, London on a permanent basis, This is a full time role working 56 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £40,872.00 per annum and benefits package.

Shift Pattern:  

3 days 3 nights 3 days off 

12hr shifts 0700hrs - 1900hrs, 1900hrs - 0700hrs 

What will you deliver?

To form part of a fully integrated guarding service which is operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, ensuring that the service provided is professional, timely and in keeping with contractual requirements.  The aim of the service is to provide a safe and secure environment for all occupants, visitors and contractors within and around the building.

Please note employment in this post is dependent upon obtaining security clearance; this requires 5 years’ residency in the UK and a valid British or EU passport.

Equans is looking for a Part time Cleaning Supervisor to join our team in Bolton Combined Court, BL1 1UA, on a permanent basis working 15 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £10,452.00 per annum and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

Reporting to the facilities supervisor for HMCTS, the Cleaning Supervisor will be the lead for the cleaning teams for their HMCTS site. 

Responsibilities
• To manage the standards to meet our contractual obligations
• To manage the standards by supporting in self-auditing
• To support in stock management/ordering
• To deliver of toolbox talks  
• To lead and motivate the cleaning team to enable contribution to the best of their ability and maximise their potential

General Overview

The Senior Estimator leads the development of comprehensive and high-value cost estimates for complex construction projects, guiding the commercial aspects of tender submissions and contract negotiations. This role is responsible for ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and risk mitigation in cost forecasting, while providing expert guidance to junior estimating staff and collaborating closely with project leadership and clients to support business growth. 

What will you deliver?

  • Lead the preparation and delivery of detailed and strategic cost estimates for major and complex tenders.

Who are we looking for?

Essential:

  • Degree or equivalent professional qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive estimating experience (typically 5+ years) in construction, with proven success in managing major tenders.
  • Strong technical expertise in cost planning, risk analysis, and value engineering.
  • Proficient in advanced estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Equans is looking for an Estimator to join our team in Colehill, Birmingham or Nottingham on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role, on offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle and benefits package.

General Overview

The Estimator is accountable for producing accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects, supporting tender submissions, procurement, and project delivery. This position is central to ensuring commercial viability and compliance with contractual requirements, by analyzing project documentation and collaborating with stakeholders to develop comprehensive pricing strategies.

What will you deliver?

  • Develop detailed cost estimates for projects, encompassing labour, materials, plant, and overheads.
  • Analyse tender documentation (drawings, specifications, schedules) and identify bid requirements and risks.
  • Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations and verify third-party pricing.
  • Collaborate with operational, design, and commercial teams to ensure estimates reflect technical and programme requirements.
  • Advise on project cost risks, contingencies, and value engineering opportunities.
  • Support post-tender negotiations and handover of estimate documentation to delivery teams.
  • Maintain estimating databases, cost libraries, and benchmarking tools to ensure consistency and accuracy.

Who are we looking for?

Essential:

  • Relevant construction qualification (e.g. HNC/HND, degree, or equivalent experience in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or Civil Engineering).

Vos missions :

 

En tant que Superviseur de Travaux Electricité spécialisé en courant faible/protection physique, vous jouerez un rôle clé dans nos équipes d’ingénierie en AMOE. De l'APS au DOE, nous suivons les projets dans leur ensemble, pour le compte de nos clients Nucléaire.

Rattaché.e au Responsable d’Affaires du site et afin de renforcer l’équipe en place au sein du plateau de maîtrise d'œuvre phase travaux (VISA, DET, AOR, DOE), les missions principales du poste seront :

Rédaction documentaire type notes techniques, compte rendu de réunion, etc.
Supervision des études et des travaux en électricité CFA et protection physique (videosurveillance, alarmes anti-intrusion, portes coupe-feux...)
Enclenchement des prestations avec les différents fournisseurs et réalisation du suivi des travaux (planning, reporting de l'avancée des travaux)

Accompagnement du client dans les écarts relevés, dans la proposition de solutions techniques

Profil recherché :

Idéalement issu.e d’une formation généraliste et technique (type BTS ou licence), vous disposez d’une expérience significative en supervision de travaux et une bonne connaissance technique en CFA, qui vous a permis de vous familiariser avec les missions détaillées.

La connaissance du secteur nucléaire est impérative. En effet la maîtrise des spécificités de cet environnement technique exigeant est nécessaire pour interagir en autonomie avec les différentes parties prenantes du projet et effectuer les suivis sur site des fournisseurs.

Votre rigueur et votre aisance relationnelle seront vos principaux atouts pour ce poste.
