Area Facilities Manager


Equans is looking for an Area Facilities Manager to join our team in central London. This is a permanent, full-time role, working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.

Working on our largest contract, HMCTS, the post holder will be based at one of our central London sites. The Area Facilities Manager is responsible for managing the efficient delivery of both Hard and Soft Service to meet Contractual and Company requirements. The post holder will need to proactively engage with the client to provide a one-point contact for all service delivery ensuring internal and Client KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) are met while operating within the framework of the contract.

The post holder will manage a team of engineers and act as a point of contact for the delivery of non-complex project. Ensuring the effective implementation of EQUANS and business stream Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) Policies and Procedures, including ISO9001 standards.

The ideal candidate will have experience in hard and soft FM, excellent stakeholder management and team management, a technical background and experience in contract management.

What will you deliver?

  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and company procedures across the stakeholder groups
  • Line management responsibility for both a Technical Supervisor and a Facilities Supervisor in the delivery of both Hard and Soft Services
  • Management of a Mechanical and Electrical bias workforce and other sub-contracted M&E services
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with Legionella control (Water Management Control) regulations and best practices
  • Management of commercial soft services workforce and sub-contracted horticultural, pest and waste services
  • Training, development and performance review of direct reports (including succession planning)
  • Work with the relevant operational leads to ensure the service delivery across the full range of services is continually improving
  • Contribute to the financial performance of the contract particularly around operational efficiency and subcontract procurement
  • Guarantee full compliance with company procedures for the effective planning, organisation, control, monitor and review of the services by analysis of the relevant data
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and company procedures, maintaining up to date knowledge at all times
  • Understand and meet ongoing customer requirements, develop effective working relationships with business partners, suppliers and sub-contractors
  • Clear and effective communicator with professional personal presentation
  • Organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads to ensure deadlines are met
  • Carry out any other reasonable management request

Who are you?

  • Degree or equivalent experience in appropriate field (Technical Bias)
  • Experience within an FM business
  • Proven experience of effectively leading a large, complex team
  • Strong customer focus with experience of delivering high standards of Customer Service, previous FM experience within a FM/ Public sector environment
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office software
  • Experience of FM project management
  • Proven understanding of HR Management and processes
  • Experience of effectively managing contractors
  • Post holder must pass and maintain BPSS

Equans is looking for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our team based at Callflex Business Park, Rotherham on a temporary basis of 12 months covering maternity leave. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

You will be working as part of a busy team in a Procure to Pay environment, responsible for processing invoices, reconciling supplier accounts, and helping to resolve any known disputes in a timely manner. Assistant Quantity Surveyor


Equans is looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team in London on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be a member of the Commercial resource supporting the operational team within the HMCTS contract where EQUANS complete Project Works. They will provide contract commercial management services and profit improvement along with focus on compliance. In addition, they may be required to support growth within the Sector on the existing contracts as well as new business development initiatives to extend the suite of contracts.

The post holder will be responsible for delivering the commercial management function across the contract and clearly communicate the obligations and liabilities to ultimately ensure that income is maximised, costs are minimised, whilst the service required is delivered.

This is a junior role ideal for someone who is looking for exposure within the FM industry. We are looking for someone with some experience within a similar role, for example construction or project management.

What will you deliver?

  • To assist the QS with commercial administration and management on a number of live projects
  • Collate sub-contract procurement information in order to manage subcontract orders, accounts and variation accounts in line with the main contract
  • Assist on post-tender internal and external pricing analysis/assessment for sign-off whilst ensuring within budget
  • Conduct contract risk and opportunity assessment to identify these areas and plan for them accordingly to ensure pricing remains on budget without undermining Health and Safety
  • Assist with subcontractor selection for new schemes, ensure the chosen subcontractor has the appropriate order and information to carry out their work, and helping to prepare procurement schedules
  • Logical and auditable preparation of relevant documentation for valuation, procurement and commercial administration
  • Preparation and administration of monthly applications and sub-contractor accounts in line with legal obligations
  • To support the QS in the management of the day to day cost control, monitoring and reporting
  • Review of sub-contractor accounts and measure progress to assist in submitting valuations, preparing the submission of application for payments, final accounts, and retention release
  • Monitor receipt of payment in a timely manner to ensure timely cash flow management for the Client and the group, and the supply chain
  • Compile valuations with QS to prepare internal valuations to determine accurate cost reports
  • Assist on completing QS documentation (i.e. client invoices) within deadlines
  • Assist the QS with contractual issues and take action as required
  • Process subcontractor requests for payment and issue of notices
  • Ensure the Company is neither compromised nor disadvantaged by a contractual or financial arrangement
  • Attend internal and external project and Company related meetings as appropriate
  • Where appropriate, assist with estimates and negotiations for future projects or phases
  • Provide assistance to the finance, accounts, and estimating teams as necessary
  • General day to day administrative duties
  • Prepared to travel to and from site and/or head offices within various geographical areas

Part time Afternoon Cleaner


Equans is looking for a Part time Afternoon Cleaner to join our team in Darlington Magistrates Court, DL1 1RS on a permanent basis working 10 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £12.40 per hour and benefits package.

Shift Pattern:

Monday to Friday 15.30-17.30 

What will you deliver?

As the on-site Cleaner, you’ll keep the building clean and tidy to the highest standard of hygiene, health and safety whilst maintaining a professional manner with all members of staff and general public. 

For this role you must undergo BPSS level vetting. Part of this includes DBS clearance therefore ability to pass is essential.

Payroll Team Lead


EQUANS is looking for a Payroll Team Lead to join our team based in Quorum Business Park on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package. 

You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Payroll, Pension and Benefit administration activities across the UK, ensuring accurate and timely processing in line with current UK legislation.  This role will engage with employees, line managers and HR Operational leads to ensure a quality and timely service delivery.

What will you deliver? 

  • Drive excellence in service delivery, ensuring that the team completes activity in line with statutory or agreed Equans processes.
  • Co-ordinate all audit activity for own work teams, with timely monthly sign off.
  • Lead business process mapping, process transformation and improvement sessions with their team and implements improvements in liaison with the Payroll Manager and other key members of the HR Operations Team as appropriate.
  • Improve and maintains process documentation and procedures to ensure they are fit for purpose taking into consideration feedback from stakeholders.
  • Motivate, manage, lead and coaches the team to deliver service excellence against key performance indicators and challenging metrics.
  • Coach members of the team in their activities to support their individual development, provide feedback on areas for improvement, and also provide ‘hands-on’ support where required.
  • Manage a clear plan of monthly and annual activity for the team to understand peak periods. 
  • Develop strong working relationships with the Shared Service Centre Leadership Team and other team leaders to provide a seamless service to those outside of Shared Services.
  • Work closely with the SAP technical teams to help to analyse any system build requirements and also to verify any data loaded. 
  • Deputise for the Payroll Manager as required.

Electrician

 
Equans is recruiting for an Electrician to be based at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth. This is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary banding of £35,000 to £36,500 plus a shift allowance of £3,581 per annum. In addition you will receive an excellent benefits package.

Shift rota which includes days, lates and weekends.

What will you deliver?

  • Support the estates management in providing a 24 hour maintenance service within the hospital
  • Undertake PPMs, testing and repairs covering a wide range of equipment, services, systems and buildings associated with a large hospital.
  • Assist other trades where required. 
  • Any other duties required by site management
  • Be part of the shift pattern including day shifts, late shifts and 1 weekend in 4.

IT Portfolio Lead (ERP)


Equans is looking for an IT Portfolio Lead (ERP)  to join our team on a secondment basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week.

As the IT Portfolio Lead for ERP, you will be responsible for the delivery of a range of projects and products using both waterfall and agile frameworks. You will be responsible for planning, leading and executing the portfolio of projects ensuring it reflects business priorities and delivers anticipated benefit.

You will have line management responsibility for the team of PM’s, Delivery Leads, Developers, SME’s and 3rd Party resource and be expected to support and develop individuals’ personal growth / development to ensure a quality service and appropriate frameworks are applied to each project in the Portfolio.

Also working with the BP’s, IT Exec and senior stakeholders across the various business streams to understand priorities, manage expectations, drive delivery value through finances, evaluate future projects and ensure that resources are allocated efficiently. Championing agile and new ways of working, the role will ensure professional standards and develop communities of practice which will enable our aspiration to deliver excellence through great communication.

What will you deliver?

  • Responsible for the successful delivery of the portfolio through the direct portfolio team, Service Delivery Teams and wider technology teams, ensuring projects / products are well planned, communicated and delivered, ensuring adhere to governance and managed financially to realise the business benefits
  • In conjunction with PMO ensure appropriate assurance is in place and managed for the Portfolio reporting on and managing IT finances and resource across the team, managing prioritisation, risks/ issues and dependencies, drive decision making, identifying and removing obstacles to progress, and resolving any conflicting stakeholder issues
  • Input and influence the Delivery Roadmaps through quarterly PI Planning, MTP and other regular scheduling activities to ensure that resourcing requirements are understood and met across the wider IT teams
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior business stakeholders to promote IT’s capabilities, challenges and strategies. Monitoring the levels of customer satisfaction with a focus on continuous improvement of the Portfolio delivery
  • Inspire and lead the adoption of Agile Ways of Working to support our agile transformation by demonstrating the value, sharing the vision and influencing others
  • Providing effective support, coaching, motivation and guidance to the portfolio team to realise the potential and develop individuals as well as preparing and building a high-performing, multi-skilled and diverse delivery team to meet the forward forecast of demand

  • Extensive experience in managing the delivery including full lifecycle testing and complex implementations of multiple projects with various aspects including technical and business change (H2R; O2C; P2P and R2R processes), etc.
  • Successful leadership and people management experience in developing a delivery team
  • Proven ability to understand and manage business stakeholder relationships, their needs and priorities
  • Good communication skills across a range of channels and audiences to clearly explain ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Mobile Mechanical Engineer


Equans is looking for a Mobile Mechanical Engineer to join our team on the HMCTS contract. You will be based out of Portsmouth Combined Court but look after various sites across the surrounding area.   • Maintain accurate records on CAFM systems (e.g. TotalMobile).
  • Supervise subcontractors and ensure safe systems of work, including use of Permits to Work.
  • Participate in emergency response and out-of-hours cover as part of a rota.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, including proper use of PPE and adherence to Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
  • Maintain compliance with BS7671 standards for relevant works.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, contractors, and clients.

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a Facilities Management environment.

  • NVQ Level 2 or higher in Mechanical Engineering Services (City & Guilds or equivalent).

  • Valid UK Driving Licence.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain BPSS and CTC clearance (required for specific sites).

  • Strong fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.

Mechanical Technician


Equans is looking for a Mechanical Technician to join our team at the Victoria Hospital in Fife on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. This is based on a shift pattern that includes working nights and weekends. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

  • Provide delivery of Planned & Reactive maintenance activity of Mechanical resource, supporting Heating, Cooling, Domestic water systems & Equipment, in accordance with the Schedule of Programmed Maintenance
  • Ensure all Planned Maintenance works are completed within the target start and target completion timeframes
  • Ensure all Reactive Works are responded to and completed in line with contractual SLA’s
  • Ensure all Corrective & Remedial works are completed and duly recorded
  • Report all Corrective & Remedial works that need to be undertaken by other skillsets, or external contractors
  • Ensure that the integrity of the Critical systems is always achieved minimising downtime of assets
  • Correctly & Accurately utilise PDA to accurately record information, data and details relating to all works undertaken and accounting for working day
  • Complete all maintenance documentation (electronic and hard copy) ensuring full and accurate completion
  • Assess, compile, and create safety programmes relating to Mechanical and Medical Gas works in line with EQUANS Safe Systems of Work and SHTM 02-01 Undertaking the duties and responsibilities as Appointed Person within the relevant discipline. Issuing of Medical Gas permits as required
  • Issue Limitation of Access Permit to Contractors attending site outside of normal working hours, including working at height, hot works, etc.

Als fitter zie jij jouw leidingen schitteren – letterlijk én figuurlijk – op het chemiepark in Delfzijl. Je werkt met grote, dikwandige buizen, volgens strakke tekeningen en in een hecht team. Of je nu al ervaring hebt of fitter wilt worden: bij Equans in Farmsum zit je goed.

Dit ga je doen als fitter

Jij zorgt dat leidingwerk op klantlocaties én in onze eigen werkplaats tot in de kleinste details klopt. Je leest technische tekeningen, werkt nauwkeurig en bent een kei in samenwerken met andere disciplines. Zo bouw je samen aan betrouwbare installaties die exact volgens specificaties en veiligheidsrichtlijnen worden opgeleverd.

  • installeren en monteren van dikwandige leidingen op basis van werktekeningen
  • samenbouwen van installaties in samenwerking met andere disciplines
