Mobile Technical Operative - Fabric
EQUANS are looking for a Mobile Technical Operative (Fabric) – this role will be covering Leicester and Northampton areas for our HMCTS contract. There will be 13 courts covered across the area including Magistrates, Combined Courts, Tribunal Buildings etc. This role would be a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week – overtime is also available. On offer is a competitive salary of £28,500, a company van, additional training/qualifications and benefits package.
General Overview:
The primary purpose of the role is to carry out both planned and reactive maintenance on a wide variety of Fabric and limited Engineering Assets, ensuring all activities are completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the contracted output specifications and Equan processes and procedures. This includes Legionella control and monitoring activities.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
•Inspect/repair floor, walls, ceilings and roofs, free standing and fitted furniture, doors (Inc. Fire Doors), windows and associated furniture.
•Inspect/clear drainage and gully systems, unblock toilets and sinks
•Painting, re-decorating and hanging of pictures/signed/notices
•Carry out Ad-Hoc activities supporting Equans and client team including moves/changes
•Ensure that reactive tasks throughout the sites are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made.
•Ensure that suitable consumables are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works. To provide parts lists and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works.
•Ensure that all relevant paperwork/CAFM is completed accurately regarding planned and reactive activities and that it is passed without delay to the contract administrator/ Helpdesk.
•Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared and used for all tasks undertaken to ensure safe working practices.
•To develop a good working relationship with all members of Equans staff, subcontractors and the client representatives.
•Ensure the provision of a Safe and Healthy working environment. To include the wearing of uniform and PPE at all times.
•Ensure the professional image of Equans is presented to clients at all times
•Ensure that all plant rooms under the responsibility of Equans are kept in a clean and tidy condition.
•Supervising and monitoring of sub-contractors works whilst they are on site carrying out associated Fabric tasks
•To arrange and provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice and be flexible in their working patterns.
•To undertake lone working when and where required, subject to passing satisfactory training.
•Ensure assigned tasks are actioned and completed as appropriate, and an awareness and compliance to the contractual KPI's/SLA's.
•The position will require you to provide support in emergency situations to ensure business and operational continuity.

•Produce Condition / Dilapidation Reports as required for fabric assets
•Ensure supervisor is informed immediately if dangerous circumstances occur
SHEQ
•Comply with requests for information from SHEQ manager
•Ensure you work to company health and safety policy
•Ensue PPE is safe to use
•Report accident and near misses in a timely manner
•Ensure your test equipment is within calibration
•Ensure you follow Method Statements & Risk Assessments for all works
Impact:
Working to high standard of Building Maintenance, we require a fully reliable and competent Fabric Tech who can work on own initiative, within a team or oversee subcontractor’s, producing high quality reports on their findings and work.
Complexity:
The successful candidate will have the ability to work unaided and build rapports with end users and customers, promoting EQUANS’ values.
Have an excellent knowledge of carpentry and/or painting/decorating techniques.
Have an eye for detail and be conscious of quality standards.
Qualifications or Required Experience:
Suitable experience working in a similar high demanding role.
Demonstrable experience in either carpentry, painting or flooring in a construction, repair or maintenance environment. Good knowledge of Fire Door maintenance and inspection techniques.
Understanding of Legionella control techniques e.g. tap flushing

•Be able to pass and sustain BPSS
•Must hold a full clean UK driver’s license

•Holding a NVQ (or equivalent) in a chosen fabric-related field i.e. Joinery, Building Maintenance etc.

EQUANS is looking for a Service Coordinator - Helpdesk to join our team on our HMCTS contract based in Stoke-on-Trent (ST4) on a 12 month fixed-term contract. Project Co-ordinator
EQUANS are recruiting for an Projects Co-Ordinator to be based in Crewe. This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
General Overview
Equans deliver a comprehensive and quality service to our multi-sector customers across the UK. We provide a 24/7 reactive/planned preventative maintenance service for technical building services and undertake some specialist Project work involving plant replacements and refurbishments of commercial properties.
The role is office/home based with a necessity to attend meetings across different sites as well as our local office in Crewe. This role is fundamental support to a Project Management team within a Facility’s Management account supporting construction and general project management on behalf of Cheshire East Council.
This will require an experienced person with presence, commitment, exceptional management competencies and communication skills to ensure that the contracts financial budgets, quality, health & safety and operational commitments are met and exceeded.
This role will be part of a projects team within a Facilities Management Account who provide service to Cheshire East Council and will be responsible for the back-office co-ordination and administration of a catalogue of minor works and capital works up the value of £250k each totalling circa. £5m per annum and supporting the helpdesk lead with housekeeping of Purchase Orders and the asset management Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM), system.
Key Accountabilities
- Preparation of final accounts for all capital & minor works projects
- Creation of labour utilisation reports for all project’s operatives on a weekly basis
- Management of POEM across the account in conjunction with the senior project managers and finance business partner
- Creation of IOs for all new projects on the account and updating the projects tracker accordingly
- Management of all POs across projects & minor works on COUPA including raising and receipting them.
- Management of purchase card logs for all project managers and minor works managers.
- Appraisal of earnt values via the WIP report and meetings with project managers to allow accurate billing.
- Monitor and manage project WIP/Debt to an acceptable level.
- Ensure financial policies and processes are effectively communicated, implemented and monitored
- Attend meetings with clients, sub-contractors, suppliers and other company members as necessary.
- Responsible for the management of the capital projects tracker and ensuring all data it contains is correct to allow for accurate financial forecasts.
- Ensuring all timesheets for projects operatives is inputted into SAP in a timely fashion.
- Creation of monthly payment applications for capital works on projects
- Ensuring that project managers are correctly managing variations.
- Holding a minimum of monthly 1-2-1s with all project managers to ensure that the projects tracker is kept up to date as well as any financial forecasts and to allow for POEM dates to be adjusted as required.
- Oversee the administration of items relating to the costing of projects.
- Achieve financial budget targets set by the Account Manager
- Compliance with and record keeping for Company ISO Quality Management Systems.

Senior Operations Manager
Equans is looking for a Senior Operations Manager to join our team at North Middlesex University Hospital on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, car allowance, bonus and benefits package.
The purpose of the role is to facilitate the Hard FM activities undertaking the functional, technical and management aspects of the FM contract with respect to planned/ reactive maintenance, minor project work and the Forward Capital Maintenance Programme requirements.
The post holder will be responsible for operational staff, budgets and performance of sub-contractors within this work stream and maintain a close liaison with the Client FM Function to ensure day to day requirements of delivering the FM contract are met. To be responsible for contractual performance in accordance with agreed budgets, compliance with the Service Level Standards; whilst continually enforcing cost efficiencies, maximizing value received.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in hard FM, PFI, excellent management abilities and a strategic thinker.
What will you deliver?
- To deliver high quality Hard FM services ensuring adding value, increased productivity, and cost efficiencies wherever possible and encourage innovation from staff to provide on-going service improvements
- To recruit, select, motivate and manage the Hard FM services teams (where appropriate) and ensure an ongoing development to the highest standards of professionalism and customer service
- Responsible for the management of planned maintenance regimes
- Manage resource requirements for the Hard FM services, including the provision of labour and materials
- Use of and administration of maintenance I.T. Systems i.e. Labour Management Systems, Building Management Systems, Planned Preventative Management Systems and Stock Control System to ensure the efficient utilisation of staff and resources. To maintain assurance and accuracy of database
- Liaise with the Procurement department on negotiating with suppliers to ensure conformity with Company requirements and maximise economies
- Assist in the development of capital replacement programmes for plant and equipment in line with technological developments and PPM best practice
- Undertake specialised projects as detailed by the General Manager
- Prepare specifications for sub contracted works and maintenance contracts
- Responsible for organisation and implementation of a rostered 24 hour shift system, Emergency Cover and on-call service during non-working hours, weekends and bank holidays. Be part of the Duty Manager on call rota

One CAFM Programme Manager
Equans is looking for an experienced Programme Delivery Manager to drive the design and delivery of our One CAFM Business Transformation Programme.
The candidate must have experience of implementing Salesforce ideally across the Field Service solution.
One CAFM is a significant business transformation programme for Equans, aiming to transform our Operational Service Delivery across our Facilities Management and Repairs and Maintenance activity, leveraging the capability of the Salesforce Field Services solution.
The role is an 18 month FTC basis. It is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week.

The role holder is responsible for all Programme Management activities across the One CAFM Programme, setting out the approach and plan for the Programme, driving design and delivery and ensuring buy in from an operational / divisional perspective, building confidence and credibility in our ability to deliver the targeted benefits.
What will you deliver?
- Develop Programme approach and robust project plans to drive progress and delivery
- Establish Programme Management essentials, including robust governance, risk and issue management, and solution design management
- Mobilise required resources and stakeholder management.
- Manage project teams including resources from across IT and within the Operational contracts.
- Manage the development of project estimates and manage budgets, anticipated to be £5m+
- Support the realisation of financial benefits (potentially more than £10m across the Business Plan period)
Who are we looking for?
- Expertise with implementing Salesforce is essential, ideally Field Service Management / Agentforce Field Service
- Proven record of project managing complex process and system Operational Transformation projects including managing design, data migration and ensuring system compliance with contractual requirements
- Knowledge of CAFM systems and associated interfaces and integrations
- Understanding of core Operational business processes and systems across Facilities Management and Repairs and Maintenance
- Able to Project Manage the development of a process and system Operational Transformation blueprint setting out the transition from current to future builds and processes
- Able to build a system migration plan, including the build, test and migration from current to future Systems
- Detail orientated with strong organisational and planning skills
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build credibility and influence colleagues at all levels across the organisation

Station Reception Officer
Equans currently has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Station Reception Officer to join our operational team at Lewisham Police Station. This is a permanent full-time shift based position working an average of 40 hours per week, 12 hour shifts with a one hour unpaid break, 07:00 to 19:00 / 19:00 to 07:00. What will you deliver?
- Reports to Facilities & Services Manager
- Providing an efficient first point of contact for members of the public
