Section Manager – Substations

Equans is looking for a Section Manager – Substations.

In this role, you are an integral leader within our department, steering your section towards achieving key objectives.

Your base of operations is Haren/Braine l’Alleud.

Here’s what you’re taking on:

• financial stewardship:
  • oversee turnover, budget, and margin management, ensuring your section meets financial goals
• team leadership:
  • manage and inspire a diverse team of professionals, monitoring performance to maintain a balance between quality and efficiency
• relationship building:
  • foster long-term partnerships with customers, partners, and subcontractors, navigating varying interests to drive collaborative success
• reporting & recommendations:
  • regularly update the Department Manager on your section’s progress and outcomes, while offering valuable insights for overall departmental enhancement
• change management:
  • take ownership of transformative processes within your section to ensure continual improvement

To thrive in this role, you need:

• a master’s degree or equivalent experience, with a solid foundation in H&MV substations or a keen desire to specialize
• 5+ years of managerial experience in a multidisciplinary technical environment
• proven expertise in motivating and managing teams to excel in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
• strong financial acumen and experience with necessary reporting
• a commitment to customer satisfaction, aiming to build and nurture long-lasting relationships
• a results-oriented, enterprising mindset with a pragmatic approach to challenges
• excellent communication skills in Dutch, French, and English
