Equans is looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our team in Birmingham on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company car or allowance, bonus, and benefits package.

This role is responsible for ensuring the continuity within the Equans contracts across Education and Healthcare Sectors covering various services such as M&E, building fabrication, security, cleaning service lines, amongst others, together with P&L responsibility for the contract, life cycle, continuous improvement, revenue growth together with the day to day management of people, processes, Quality and Health and Safety.

We are looking for an individual with extensive operational management experience, a technical bias, commercial awareness, previously held P&L responsibility in excess of £5m per year

What will you deliver?

  • Management responsibility for several operational direct reports
  • Management of P&L for client contracts, takes charge of P&L and commercial performance of contract
  • Contributes to budget planning and reviews financial performance against budget
  • Operates effectively in complex organisations where there are conflicting demands on time and resources
  • Understands the culture, issues and business strategy / direction of the client / contract
  • Deploys necessary actions to ensure effective implementation of change management strategies
  • Establishes excellent working relationships with appropriate client contacts, internally and externally.
  • Works with minimal direct supervision; resolves complex operational problems
  • Supporting and standing in for the customer on FM issues when needed
  • Co-ordinates all Operational Team Leaders to deliver operational effectiveness
  • Supports and works as a team with the other Site Leads, standing in for and providing resilience when required
  • Manages and ensures escalation process is maintained and delivered
  • Ensure both the Equans and client Health and Safety policies are clearly understood and implemented throughout the team
  • Identifies opportunities to enhance operational effectiveness
  • Oversight and ownership of performance mechanism reports and management/mitigation of any associated deductions
  • Manages performance of team against clear objectives and expectations

Who are we looking for?

  • Possesses extensive operational management experience
  • Has PFI operational management experience
  • Good knowledge of statutory compliance and requirements under SFG20
  • Commercial experience
  • Technical bias
  • Has previously held P&L responsibility in excess of £5m per year
  • Possesses proven people management experience
  • Has strong operational and performance management focus
  • Is numerate and analytical and financially aware
  • Has strong planning and time management skills
  • Demonstrates a clear understanding of the basic principles of M&E systems
  • Demonstrable abilities and clear experience in supplier contracts negotiation

This role includes a DBS Enhanced check therefore ability to pass is essential.
