Equans is looking for an Project Manager to join our team in Fife Victoria Hospital on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.

The role holder will have a strong background in managing projects related to the maintenance, repair, and replacement of physical infrastructure, including HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, fabric, and other critical building systems.

This role is crucial in ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety, quality, and relevant standards/guidance

What will you deliver?

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Provide the required internal documentation supporting procurement governance and client approval documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with CDM 2015, HASAW etc Act 1974, Equans internal policy & procedure as well as site specific and client requirements.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.

Resource Management:

  • Allocate and manage resources effectively, including labour, equipment, and materials.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust resource allocation as needed to ensure timely
  • completion.

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring projects are completed within financial constraints.
  • Track project expenses and prepare regular financial reports for management review.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Quality Assurance:

  • Establish and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship and service delivery.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and company standards

Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or issues.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by delivering projects that meet or exceed expectations.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and control the external sub-contractor employees, collaborating closely with the contracting companies to ensure effective delivery of works, in tune with the clinical activities on site.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, encouraging continuous improvement and professional development.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and clients.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including tenders, governance, contracts, change orders, and project closeout reports.
  • Ensure end of project handover is managed effectively, with updating of Operation &
  • Maintenance Manuals, As Fitted drawings and data sheets within the Technical Library.

Who are we looking for?

  • CDM Awareness, SMSTS/APM (PMQ), HNC/HND within an engineering discipline and having recognised engineering qualifications, with at least 5 years post qualifying experience in a similar role
  • Proven experience with the Healthcare sector, and day to day project delivery with a live operational environment. Experience/Qualifications within a technical capacity relating to SHTM’s.
  • An ability to create good working relationships with clients and external stakeholders.
  • Able to lead the execution of projects from inception to completion, ensuring all deliverables meet client expectations and company standards.
  • Leadership experience
