Equans is looking for a Multiskilled Technician to join our team in Sidcup, London on a permanent basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £40,000 – £45,000, dependent upon skills and experience plus company benefits package. 

Equans is looking for an Multi-skilled Technician to provision of Technical Building Services, Fabric Maintenance, Handyman based on site at CCEP Sidcup, providing hands-on all-round Building Services support to the Facilities Manager (FM). Deliver high working standards and maintenance practice in the delivery of M & E services in accordance with the terms of the CCEP contract. To work independently and manage own time, appropriately escalating to and seeking advice from the FM and others when necessary

What will you deliver? 

  • Provide input into and management of the planned maintenance schedule, ensuring associated work tasks are completed in accordance with the agreed PPM
  • Complete PPM and reactive works activities in accordance with contract requirements
  • Provide support and expertise to assist the FM
  • Supervise works carried out by specialist sub-contractors, reporting anomalies to the FM
  • Work with FM to identify opportunities to self-deliver sub-contracted maintenance activities
  • Ensure all statutory records are kept up to date and available for inspection
  • Be aware of and have good working understanding and practical hands-on input regarding control of legionella and associated required works
  • Assist the FM in the planning, costing and management of small projects and additional works
  • Other duties may include but are not limited to: Water hygiene checks – L8 checks, AHU/HVAC System filter changes and cleaning, Plumbing, Basic electrics depending upon qualifications, Carpentry, Painting and decorating, Building installation and repair e.g., carpet-fitting, repair to walls, gutter clearance, drainage + other handyman duties

  • Plumbing experience (Essential)
  • Electrical Safety Knowledge (Desirable)
  • Water Hygiene L8
  • Knowledge of M&E standards
  • Carpentry other Trade qualifications (Desirable)
  • Health & Safety legislation (IOSH Managing Safely)
  • Team player
  • Physically fit
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Personable with ability to interact with confident at all levels
