Summary
Position Overview:
The Space Manager will be responsible for managing space planning, occupancy, and layout design within our facilities. This role involves analyzing space needs, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring efficient use of physical space to meet business requirements. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and has a strong understanding of space management best practices in [specific industry, e.g., corporate environments, pharmaceuticals].

Key Responsibilities:
Space Planning & Optimization
- Develop and implement strategies for efficient space utilization, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and industry standards.
- Conduct space audits and surveys to assess current use and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Design and update floor plans using space management software (e.g., AutoCAD, Archibus).
Project Management
- Lead space planning projects from concept through implementation, including moves, renovations, and reconfigurations.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as Facilities, HR, and IT, to ensure smooth execution of space-related projects.
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with external service providers as needed.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a point of contact for space-related inquiries and coordinate with department leaders to understand their space needs.
- Present space planning proposals and data-driven recommendations to senior management.
- Communicate changes and updates to space planning policies effectively across the organization.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of space allocations and occupancy data.
- Prepare reports and metrics on space utilization, providing insights for decision-making and future planning.
- Utilize space management tools and software to analyze data and trends.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Is authorized to work in the US;
- Is qualified to pass a security screening and medical examination
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in space planning, facilities management, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in space planning software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with space management platforms like Archibus or CAFM systems is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data and metrics to make informed space planning decisions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and resolve issues efficiently.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
