As the Network and Server Engineer for Equans Australia and New Zealand, you will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and enhancing all IT infrastructure.

Working as part of our dynamic technical team, you will ensure operational excellence and innovation within both IT and the broader business, all while working closely with and receiving support and collaboration from our international head office located in France.

Responsibilities

  • Manage networking and cloud technologies, including Meraki, Palo Alto, Azure, Zscaler, SDWAN & MPLS, DNS, and DHCP. 
  • Manage the end-to-end life cycle of Cloud Engineering projects. Cloud Administration: Administer, configure, and maintain cloud services and applications, including Microsoft 365 (M365) and Azure. Create and manage user accounts, groups, and permissions in cloud environments.
  • Implement and manage policies, access controls, and resource optimisation in the cloud.
  • Networking: Ensure seamless connectivity and optimize network configurations for cloud services. Collaborate with the network team to troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues affecting cloud services.
  • Participate in Patching/Package Management – Linux, Windows, VMWare, 3rd Party Applications.
  • Implement and Configure Windows Servers in a complex Active Directory Environment.
  • Active Directory Configuration and Management, ability to diagnose AD specific issues.
  • Working knowledge with Microsoft Teams calling and Mitel, PABX.
  • Scripting: PowerShell.
  • Working knowledge of Intune.
  • Respond and react to monitoring alerts to resolve issues.
  • Manage the Telco and Network Vendors.
  • Be available for after-hours support in the event of scheduled maintenance or incidents.
  • Complies with security standards and technical design.
  • Ensure system integrity while providing best customer service possible.

  • You will have the ability to manage working with European time zones and be able to accommodate meetings with Paris between 4pm & 7pm (AEST/UTC+10), with occasional meetings that often conclude at 8pm with daylight savings time.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary degree in a relevant discipline.
  • ITIL v3 Foundation or greater.
  • Prince 2 methodology for Project Management.
  • 5+ years of experience managing Infrastructure.
  • Technical expertise in Microsoft Windows OS and VMWare vSphere/ESXi.
  • Knowledge of cyber security principles and enterprise-level controls.
  • Experience in vendor and contract management.
  • Strong understanding of Network and Domain Services (AD, DNS).
  • Experience automating via Bash, Python, Powershell, vRA, Salt, and/or Terraform.
  • Experience with cloud-based IAAS (Google, Azure, or AWS).
  • Experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMWare, Hyper-V.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, MySQL, VPNs, Microsoft Remote Desktop Services.
  • Prior experience in Microsoft Windows (Server and Guest OS).
