Equans is looking for a Technical Assurance Manager to join our team in London on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

The purpose of the role is to be the Contract Interface for the management of all of the deliverable additional works and projects. Liaising with the project management and operational teams to ensure projects are on track and delivered as well as working with the delivery models whether capital, Lifecycle or Operationally are delivered.

The post holder will assist General Manager with commercial control over projects allocated to deliver margins identified.  To work as part of the 2MS management team to build on reputation, capability and delivering efficiently.

The primary focus to ensure adherence to all applicable Built Environment and Project Agreement standards through diligent quality management and direct management of such project delivery as directed by General Manager.

What will you deliver?

  • Accountable for the service delivery in accordance with business systems, such as quality assurance, environmental management system, financial systems, administration and policies. Particular attention to project close out documentation, room data sheets and contractual Hand back criteria
  • Provide quality management through “Clerk of Work” techniques ensuring that all additional works and projects comply with standards and support the Project Agreement Hand back Criteria
  • Ensure that all Additional/Project works are effectively closed out with suitable commissioning, O&M documentation and that the changes are interfaced back into the contract through document/drawing version control, asset change and specialist training
  • Assist in the appointment of consultants as required, identification of applicable standards and adherence
  • In accordance with contract forms, manage projects within the specified terms.  Ensure risk is appropriately considered for sub-contract transfer or reviewed in conjunction with procurement / legal departments to agree risk share
  • Provide urgent management information when required, weekly up-dates and monthly management information for pipeline, cashflow, budgetary and Gestion purposes
  • To ensure staff and contractors maintain the highest standards of health and safety, professionalism and customer service at all times
  • Promote effective and efficient co-ordination and integration between BYes management, SPV and client . Promote effective and efficient co-ordination and integration.  Ensure projects delivered do not compromise PFI KPIs or render space unavailable
  • Gather organise and provide information required for report purposes to meet all contractual obligations including KPI’s and maintain such records as are required by the contract.  Work closely with supply chain on all appointment and monitoring activities
  • Update site asset registers, insurance registers, service contract requirements and PPM schedules associated with all completed projects in conjunction with the BYes Maintenance Managers
  • To maintain all project administrative activities on site including Quality Assurance procedures and all procedures associated with monitoring and recording contract performance as detailed within the contract
  • To undertake Authorised / Responsible Person’s roles and participate in out of hours operational management team as part of Contract business continuity plan. (On-Call Rota)
  • Manage supply chain in accordance with company policy and procedure ensuring formal performance feedback is provided to the procurement team
  • To fulfil Health & Safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the Company’s Health & Safety Policy and Health & Safety Management Plans

Who are we looking for?

  • Proven background in Facilities Management
  • Technical background, either mechanical or electrical
  • Strong Commercial awareness
  • Previous experience with PFI
  • Understanding of project management processes
  • High level of verbal, written and numeric skills and must be computer literate. 
  • Must be able to work with all stakeholders and operational staff, be self-motivating, able to work on own initiative, liaise and delegate effectively with staff operating in a multi-disciplinary environment

This role includes a DBS Standard check therefore ability to pass is essential.
